They arrived on time and completed the job at the exact quote of $350 and they gave me a $25 first time customer discount knocking the final price to $325! I got to see the inside of the air handler once removed and it was encased in lime & calcium build up along with a ton of dust. After cleaning it was almost new looking, I was very impressed. Once re-installed I noticed that the air conditioner is operating a little quieter and doesn't sound as labored. The Technician also recommended the proper filter I should use as well as replaced the old cracked foam tube protectors on the outside air conditioner and checked the system to make sure all was working properly. I will be calling Glenn at A&H for all my future AC needs, he was extremely honest and up front on the costs as well as took the time to explain things to me so that I could actually understand. All around perfect experience!

The technician had to come back a few times to figure out the problem since there was a miscommunication between the technician and the office, but they were very nice and polite and arrived on time. We haven't had any problems with the termostat since.

They were very nice. They couldn't have been nicer. I paid $3300 for the installation and $1400 to do the work outside. The price went up there, but it needed to be done and the outside work was not included in the main price. They did a good job and they did it well. I checked with someone else and they were higher than A & H services were. I believe they were one of the lowest. They did a good job, but they forgot a few things like cleaning up and things like that. They did what they said.

He explained the problem that he found, and cleaned out the clogged drain pipe. He did not leave a mess. He was so quite that he didn't even wake the baby!

I Contacted A & H Services based on their reputation on Angie's List about replacing an A/C Unit (Air Handler & Compressor) and placing the new air handler inside the house. (Previously the air handler was outside the house in a "hot box") I met with Peter originally in September about the work. Peter took the time to listen to what I wanted to do, how I wanted the job done and came up with a plan of action on how to relocate the vents and duct work to the new air handler site. Peter got me a proposal very quickly (within a day or two) and followed up to discuss any questions. His proposal was almost identical to the other leading company I was looking at at the time as far as price, but it explained in detail the work to be done, the model of equipment I would be receiving and any additional charges and what they would be. I thought the proposal was easy to read and got to the bottom line. In early October I changed my mind on some of the details about the electrical and the coolant lines and wanted to run them differently through an exterior roofing section in my house. Peter came out twice after the initial visit to make sure that him and I agreed on the change to the original proposal. The proposal included a price change from the original amount, but I thought it was fair or less than what I thought it would be for the additional materials and labor that would be included in the change. On the day of the installation Chris (the lead tech), Dixon, and Richard showed up and began working promptly to remove the old unit and begin work on installing the new unit. Right away they discussed their plain of attack with me. They appeared to work very well together and were conscious of the mess they were making and promptly cleaned it up. Throughout the process, Chris kept me informed on the installation and showed me the progress of his work. The new Air Handler and it's location was very important to me and Chris took the time to explain the best place for it and managed my expectations about the amount of room it would take up in my closet. He also did an outstanding job to try to make the connections around the air handler as tight to the walls as possible as to not take up as much closet space. I can really tell all of the techs took there time to do quality work that looked good and was done right. For this, I am very thankful that I went with this company. Peter stopped by throughout the process and informed me of the work the guys were doing and comforted me as my house was being torn apart. Peter was very professional throughout the entire process and I would recommend him to anyone who is nervous about A/C Units. Chris, Dixon, and Richard did an outstanding job on the project. The fact that I had four guys working on the project at once made me feel like I was getting a serious company to do serious work and I was made a priority. All of the guys were professional and courteous to my property and to making sure a final product was done right.

A&H did a fine job starting from my first phone call requesting a quote to the time the job was done. Peter came to my house to provide the quote. He actually provided three quotes, each of varying SEER and warranty for me to chose from. I was able to schedule the change-out when I wanted. Three technicians came by and were in and out in less than 8 hours. We provided lunch for the team as a token of appreciation for the team's good work. I really enjoyed the team's work ethic. they worked well together and had a very good attitude throughout the entire installation. The unit installed was a Trane. I'm impressed with the quality and use of plastics and aluminum in all the right places. The air handler is very quiet. The fan on the condenser unit is almost silent. The compressor seems a little louder than the one on my old unit, however, this might just be more noticeable because of the more quiet fan.

I explained the problem over the phone, I was told the repairman would be here within two hours and to turn the unit off. The repairman was here as promised, he assessed and fixed the problem right away. A/C unit working well now.

Everything with A&H was better then I had expected. Will use them again if I need too.

In brief, A&H fixed our plugged lines. Then they installed replacements for other units that were old,leaking freon and inefficient. There was a problem with the newly installed unit and when I called, their salesperson could not have been more helpful and responsive. He sent his best repairman to our home within an hour of my phone call and the minor problem was discovered and fixed within minutes. These people are knowledgeable, fair,honest and will stand by their work. This is a great AC company.

I called back a few days later and spoke to Peter. Oh and by the way I had to tell Peter that by mistake one of the men took my forever filter. { That was after Chris said we will leave it right here for you.} I told him I wasn't that happy with the way the a/c was cooling the living room and the laundry room. He said he would send back one of the guys (chris) whom had worked on my a/c. He came here on10/25/2011 with one of the other men. It took them less then 1 1/2 hrs to fix the problem. They ran new tubing from the a/c system its self (again off the "V") to supply the living room alone. The laundry room now gets a better supply of air also. When I was sent the completed receipt it also included where to get the paper filters I would now need. That was very helpful. I think the reason this company gets such high ratings is because they due do excellent work!

Chris arrived during the estimated time window. He introduced himself and asked some basic troubleshooting questions. Based on the answers to the questions and his initial visual inspection of the affected equipment (the air handler), he was able to quickly provide an assessment of what he believed had caused our problem, which was water leaking from the air handler assembly. When I authorized him to proceed, Chris immediately went to work, isolated the root cause (his initial assessment was spot-on), and took corrective action. He made a couple of suggestions for optional work that might help to prevent a similar problem from occurring in the future. At no time did Chris try to sell us anything not directly related to the issue at hand. He did suggest some future preventive maintenance that he felt might preclude a repeat of the issue, but at no time did I feel pressured. Even though Chris was working in a confined attic space during the middle of a hot south Florida day, he was consistently courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend this company to our friends and family!

Although I was not happy with the company having to come back 3 times after the replacement of the coil to get my system working properly, they did stand behind their work and did not charge me more than the original quote. Cutomer service (over the phone) was excellent and the technicians were very polite and professional. I would not hesitate to use them again.

He checked out the A/C system thoroughly, supplied me detailed feedback as to its condition, and even offered suggestions to maximize its performance and efficiency. I was very impressed with the services which he provided.

I was referred by a neighbor and Angie's List. I scheduled an appointment with Peter Horn, the Comfort Consultant, for an estimate to replace the compressor and air handler in my parent's condo. He was right on time for the appointment. He was very knowledgeable about the equipment. He even took the air handler apart to see if he could determine why it was not cooling. He went up on the roof and took a picture of the compressor to show me all the rust. He explained that I could have a technician come out to get an estimate on repairs, but considering the age and condition he would recommended replacement. He gave me two options and went over everything involved including getting a crane to hoist the unit to the roof. I was very nervous about making the decision for my parents and called him many times with questions that would come up. He answered all of my questions very throughly and patiently. He could not have been nicer or more professional. I scheduled the new A/C for their next available appointment . Chris called an hour before the installation as agreed, and he and Nixon came out to install the units. Peter even came out to assure me that everything will be ok and stayed for some time going over a few details. They were great! They were so courteous and respectful, even removed the new units from the box so I could see them before installation. They explained the installation process, patiently answering any questions along the way. The air handler was installed in the outside mechanical closet and the compressor was lifted with a crane to the roof. I requested the intake vent to be changed to one with a hinge to accommodate the filter inside the condo and Chris happily altered the opening to accomplish my wishes. They thoroughly cleaned up everything, inside and outside. After completion, Chris sat down with me and reviewed all the paperwork, warranty info, thermostat settings, etc. I have never been so impressed with a job so well done. They seemed to have the concern and desire to meet my expectations, and they surely exceeded them.

I was really concerned about calling in a A/C company on a Saturday afternoon in Florida. I heard nothing but horror stories about A/C companies replacing units and expensive repairs. This has happened to people I know. Without having any recommendation I decided to join Angie's List just for this emergency repair. These guys had a good rating and many reviews. I called, they called back in about 20 minutes. Said they'd come by in within an hour and a half. Showed up in under an hour. Tested the basics to make sure we hadn't done anything stupid. Then went on to find a bad part in the outside unit. Fixed and within 15 minutes. I was really impressed with their professional approach. I know I could have called in many other A/C guys and probably had 1/2 of them try to sell us a new unit.

Do get another estimate to compare prices Ask what are the services expected prior to making appointment. Get a price up front.

Quick response and good service. Call to their office to schedule the work was fast/courteous. Technician arrived within about 1 hour (earlier than estimated). I wasn't personally at our house during the visit so the technician called and spoke with me at the beginning of the visit, then a second time to report back regarding what had been found.

Overall, as when you deal with Angie's List, it went like all professional jobs should: very pleased, tech was very polite and I couldn't be more pleased.

I called around 3:30 and was told a tech would be here between 4:30 and 5pm that same day. Tech was on-time, diagnosed the problem and completed all necessary repairs in less than an hour. He explained everything along the way and answered all my questions. Besided fixing my a/c, he educated me on my a/c system. Was extremely helpful! I am going to set up yearly maintenace with this company.

I selected A&H Services, Inc. from Angies List as one of a number to give me an estamate on cost and work needed to replace the A/C on a house I had just bought. The house was bought on a short sale and I knew the A/C needed to be replaced before I closed on the house. Peter Horn, the company comfort consulant, came out and was very professional and curtious in explaining what needed to be done and in answering my questions about the power company rebate, possible tax credits and the coupon the company offered to Angies List members when using this companies services. The estamate was the lowest by a few hundred dollars and based on their rating on Angies list picked them from a number of others to do the work. Prior to doing the work the company had to provide certain insurance papers and licsense information to the Homeower Association and Peter handled this in an expidited manner. The work was scheduled for 6/28/11 and they were on time and completed the removal of old equipment and istallation of new unit that day except for the sheet metal structure (called the "dog house") to cover the ducting into and out of the house. they covered the ducting on a temporary basis and came back the next day to install the sheet metal structure. there was a glitch in the fact that the sheet metal which was provided by another company was not correctly designed or cut. However the workers adapted what they had and ordered an extra sheet of metal and got the "dog house" installed that day. They also made sure to tar/water proof all the seems and in general did a good job of installing the sheet metal structure and putting extra straps on the A/C unit mounted on the roof. All the workers, both the installers of the A/C and different installers of the Sheet metal were very curtious and professional and Peter followed through by checking on what was done. This was the week before the 4th of July week-end and everyone was rushed since many of the workers had already taken off for the weekend. The A/C worked fine but in the rush of installation we did not check out the Humidistate. I was leaving for a few weeks after the week end and in setting the humidistate it appeared not to be working properly. I notified the company and a service person was sent to check on the humistate when I returned. He replaced the Humidistate and everthing has been working fine since then.

I was pleased with the job done the price and the fast responsiveness.

Call at 4:10pm on Saturday. Received a call at about 4:20 and was told they would be at my house within 2 hours. John showed up at about 5:45 (apologized for the delay in getting to me) and determined my condensation line was clogged causing the a/c to cycle on and off. He cleaned out the line, checked the rest of the system. He cleaned up after himself and was very polite and professional. I have nothing to complain about! The bill was $193.00. Considering it was a Saturday it could have been worse. If I had simply scheduled a yearly maintenance check the call would have been about $80.00. That will be scheduled for next spring! Thank you!

I do not like to write "war and peace" so this will be a "readers digest version" Contacted their office at approx. 9:30am and they said they could have a service tech on site that day between 11am and 1pm, Their tech (Ron) arrived shortly after 11am. Ron kept me updated every step of the way as to what was observed, required, etc.. End result is a well functioning a/c unit and from start (initial phone call) to finish it was done with complete professionalism and a focus on Customer Service, which is very important. There are so many out there that have lost their focus on what matters most CUSTOMER SERVICE! A & H does not have that problem, their customer service is definitely there. I will not hesitate to recommend or use them again if need be.

The company was very professional the price was a little high but fair but the service was worth it. They came the same day I called for them and the Tech was professional and helpful
