They did a wrecked job, we took pictures and they came back and fixed everything awesomely. The people in the office were considerate and respectful. They made it right and I would have no problem recommending them. I was referred to them by my old screen person. The redo work is excellent. They still had to come out and redo it, so not an A. They handled it graciously. I only spoke with the office people and they were very professional. They really worked hard to make it right when they realized an error had been made. I feel like that's a good indicator.

Excellent job. Very punctual, porch is beautiful and well done. Job was completed within one day even though there were many setbacks in equipment failure.

We are new to the area and did not realize the extent of Palm Bay's "rules" concern our property. Housman helped us understand all the steps that is needed to improve our property. We started in September 2015 and finished July 2016. Housman helped us work through all the legal forms, appearances to meetings and providing information to the city. Our porch is a full front porch including gutters, composite roof, and structures to support fans as well. The porch is beautiful and helps reduce our A/C of the main house. We were able to see the fireworks from the college from our porch comfortable and bug free. Our current porch light illuminates the entire porch. We are grateful and thankful to Housman for their help in improving our property efficiently and legally.

Installers were awesome and do beautiful work. Robert at Housman's writes your contract. Then he will try to rip you off. He decided to call roofers out to cut the roof back. The fascia board replacement was in the contract. The roofers did a bad job then Robert called us and said we owed him another $1000 to replace the fascia board they tore off and the other 20ft that was a part of the area. We could have done it ourselves. Robert yelled at me and my husband. Told me I was crazy when I reminded him we had talked about this before it was done and the contract said replace fascia board. We settled on $300 which we should NOT have done. Nobody communicates with you. They show up whenever they want with no notice. It took 4 months and they only worked maybe 5 days total job. Patio had a crack so Paul came out and fixed it. When his helper came for the second coat he ground it down to see if it would look better. Now it looks like a patch 8 inches wide. Was told they would come look at it. They NEVER did. Said nothing they could do???? How do you know if you never came to look at it? Contracts mean nothing to them, they will come back and want more money.

We needed four screen panels in our pool enclosure replaced. A gentleman came out to provide an estimate in a timely manner. He was professional and knowledgeable and gave us an acceptable estimate. He said it would be a week, or a week and a half, before we would hear from them to schedule the repairs. Over two weeks later, not hearing from them, we called the office and was told it would be another two weeks before they could come out. We canceled the work order. I am assuming our job was too small for them; seems they only take large-dollar jobs.

They showed up on time to do the installation and they listened to my questions and concerns. The installation went smoothly and we are very pleased with the final product. We recommend them very highly and will use them again for other projects.

I was very happy with the professionalism and quality of work. The porch was torn down and replaced in 3 days. Excellent workmanship and service by all the Housman employees.

The really great thing about Housman's is their communication. They kept in touch and kept us informed every step of the way. They came to do the appraisal very quickly after our request for help. They had to delay the project a couple of days later than they said they would be able to do it because of bad weather delaying them and they let us know so that it wasn't a big deal. When they came and completed the project (all in one day) we were impressed by the way that they left the site in good condition and tidy. There was a hiccup in that the repair to the guttering was not satisfactory, but all credit to Housman's, once we let them know of our dissatisfaction regarding this repair and sent them photos so that they could see what the problems were, they sent somebody out to remedy the situation very quickly. The technician who came out to do the remedial work was very efficient and knowledgeable. His remedial work has proved to be very satisfactory. We were impressed. We would recommend Housman's.

I had called and left a message requesting an estimate to have our porch screens replaced. I received a call back the next day and an appointment was set up for a representative to come in and quote us a price. He was on time, friendly and professional and answered all our questions. He took measurements, made suggestions and wrote out a reasonable quote which we accepted. He said the office would be in contact to set up a date for the work to be done in about a week. Due to a cancellation, there were able to get us in in a couple of days. Two workers came on the day of installation and in less than 2 hours had removed and replaced the entire porch screening and replaced the door handles and mechanisms. They caulked all open services and removed all debris. We are very satisfied with the work performed. The porch looks great and more bugs inside!

The technician came out to fix my door and he was able to do a quick fast fix. He was very professional, prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would definitely use this company again.

They scheduled the installation that same week I called. They arrived on time and got right to work and finished in an hour. One of the gentleman even adjusted my porch door for me! The 2 men were very polite and approachable.

They were about 6 hours late turning up the first day (although did call to let us know) and tell me that they had been delayed on the previous job, so understandable). So, the job took four days versus the originally planned two (the last day was only about an hour). Good job in general. The one part that displeased me was this: 1. In order to put the kick plate, the had to adjust the diagonal corner bracing. 2. When they did this and all other screws used on the job have large heads in the same color as the screening. 3. Both of the above points are OK. 4. After the job was completed, there were several screws on the outside where the original screws were not replaced with the "better" ones that the salesman told us about. They came back and did these very quickly. 5. Then I noticed that some others on the inside around the bracing were not replaced (slightly above the diagonal bracing are the original screws used when the screen room was put up just less than 3 years ago). So, below the horizontal bracing, I have the "new screws" and above the horizontal bracing I have the "old screws". Looks kinda odd, to say the least. 6.. I asked for these to be replaced also and was told that these were NOT part of the original quote, so would cost extra. As the salesman that bid the job mentioned that Housman's used the "better looking" screws, then my assumption was that they would replace these in those areas. So, now those locations have some of the old screws and some of the "new" ones. I think about 15 screws that were NOT replaced all told. So, when getting a quotation...make sure that they tell you/write down exactly what they do and don't do. EDIT 1/8/2016 Since posting this review (although not sure whether it caused the action or not), Housman's contacted me and will change out the screws that I mentioned above. I have now updated the review to be an A for several items. I've always said that it doesn't matter whether a company does something wrong or there is a misunderstanding...it's how they take care of the customer that counts. In this case, Housman's too care of me and one has to admire them for that.

Re-screen of pool enclosure...Very pleasant experience with this company. Competitive price...showed up on time. Linda, the office manager, kept me very well informed the one time they were running a little late. Seemed to do a very professional job & complete clean-up after they were finished....no trash anywhere! They noticed that one item usually included with a complete re-screening was not done (was not included on the estimate, but was part of their included services...I did not know or contact them about this...noticed it on their own) & came back the following day to finish. All in all, a very pleasant experience, from start to finish!

Prompt answer to inquiry. Arrived on time to give estimate. Emailed very professional estimate with diagrams, etc. Best price of three companies and also had the best reviews. There was a delay in arrival of materials due to holidays and time was not a problem for me so I agreed for them to work on other projects due to their backlog. They gave me a $100 credit in exchange. The work was completed in just a couple of hours. I did have them come back once because the screening on one window was a little loose. They returned and fixed right away. Everyone from the office staff to estimate agent to installers were very professional and courteous. I was very happy with my decision to pick this company. The reason my review is so late is that I thought I had already reviewed but found this pending request when I came back on this site.

The only problems we had were the weather. They got the job done faster than I expected considering how old the scrrened in part is. They were in very good contact and kept me updated

Estimator was prompt, courteous, and professional. He performed a complete survey and answered all my questions. We scheduled the work but had to cancel the job due to other construction issues. I plan to use them in the future to rescreen the enclosure.

Overall, we were happy with the service. When I called the office with questions they were VERY helpful. The crew that arrived did their job well, but they were lacking in communication skills. We were getting hurricane shutters installed at the same time and I wanted them to talk with the shutter people to make sure all would work together. This was difficult, but it did get done with some oversight. The lead person also kept asking me "if I understand". This left me a bit uneasy.

The screen area looks new. Using the anchors they recommended made me feel the job will last for many years to come. Houseman was the only company that recommended the Pro Tect and Nylo Tec systems. They priced the job in one visit and left a Proof of Workers Compensation Insurance and a copy of their Contractor's License. I liked that a lot. Jackie and Jerry did a fine job and the clean up was first rate.

-- The project ran almost two weeks. It was more than a simple replacement project since some minor modification to the roof needed to be made to accommodate the new screen enclosure. The new roof structure is well built, probably better than the original. This screen enclosure is around a pool. -- As the homeowners, we didn't need to be home during the work, but were around most of the time. The crew worked diligently while they were here although we were never quite sure when they would be here. They finished the job unexpectedly on a Sunday afternoon. The county inspection was delayed by a few days to fix a few details found by the company because of the hurried finish. -- The resulting screen enclosure is beautiful and adds a lot to the pool area. The screws are nearly invisible. The head of each screw has a formed plastic head the same color as the aluminum stock. Our aluminum is the dark bronze color. The enclosure is rate for hurricane winds....the screens my blow out, but this frame won't be going anywhere. -- Recommendations: If the homeowner has a pool cover, I recommend using it. Much as they try to keep debris out of the pool, a lot falls in. We fished out many screws and metal shavings after work was complete. The screws are not stainless and they begin to leave rust marks on the pool surface within a couple days. -- I also recommended to the company the use of drop cloths in the area where metal cutting was done. There was a lot of aluminum stock to be cut by an over-arm saw. The ground where the saw was placed was 100% covered with metal chips. The crew cleaned up and I wet-vac'ed the area, but many metal chips remain. A sweep around the yard with a magnet broom (like roofers use) would have helped with screws fallen in the grass. I have a whole bottle of extra screws now, some found by eye, others by foot.

Estimate went great. Response was fast and explanation of what would be done was great. When we are ready for the work we will be using this company. The quality of their product is top of the line compared to everyone else. We have decided to get the pool first before the additional room and screen. They are a little higher then some but you get what you pay for.

They arrived on time. I was very impressed with them. After they were finished they sent their own quality control team to inspect the job and make sure it was done properly. They found some things that were done wrong and had them come back and fix these. This was even after the state inspector had approved it. I would have never noticed this without their help.
