Description of Work: My toilets were not flushing and there was threat of a backup into my house. I had it pumped out by another company 2 months before, for $175, so I knew this was an ongoing concern that could not wait. I saw Meeks on Angie's list so I decided to call them.I had an appointment for Meeks to come between 1-5 on Friday the 15th. It was 4:15. and they still haden't showed up and no called to confirm they were still going to be here. The office closes at 4:30 so I called them around 4:15 and asked them if they were still going to come out. She contacted them and said they would still be out and the driver would call before coming. He got to my house around 5:30 He pumped the main 1000 gal tank and an adjacent smaller tank which where a pump & float were located which held approx 100 gal. He checked the pump and we both agreed it needed replacing. He said he would submit the work order on Monday and someone would call to give me with an estimate on a new pump+ labor. I had to call on Monday at 4:15 and ask the office folks if I was going to receive a call from someone but they didn't appear to know much about my 05-15 visit. I said no one has called They said I would have to leave a message with someone named Scott on his voice mail so they promptly transferred me to his voicemail . I left a message for Scott around 4:15pm that day Monday No one called back on Tuesday so I called their office around 12:15 and said I was calling someone else. They offered no apology or had any concern as to why.

Description of Work: We were getting ready to sell, so they fixed a leaky faucet, replaced a garbage disposel, and replaced sink drain. Did a great job!

Description of Work: I contacted Meeks to have them look at the septic system after receiving a phone call from my brother in-law, who is staying there, that the system was backing up. The first thing the individual from Meeks stated to my guest was how expensive this was going to cost us. He tried to remove the cover of the distribution box, that he said was the top of the septic tank, and my brother in-law offered to help him but instead he got a hammer and broke the cover into three pieces. He told my sister in-law what a bad week he was having. The Meeks worker called me back and said he tried three different snakes and none of them would go through the lines due to being filled with plant roots. He proceeded to charge me 300 plus and said he would have the septic installer come out to look at the situation. He left and my brother in-law proceeded to work on the system himself and was able to remove some root balls from the lines and got water to flow again to the tank. I called Meeks on New Years day and talked to one of there operators telling her this story and that I would like the owner of the company to call me the next day. I expect the lid that was broken to be replaced and the money that I paid to be refunded. The story is done yet but I will keep all informed! Happy New Year everyone!

Description of Work: Completely replumbed old iron drainage in a 1950's house and all plumbing to kitchen, 2 baths, including jackhammering 2 toilet drains, 2 tub drains and reconcreting, and replacing hot water heater to a 50 gallon. Be sure you get a written quote on any extra work that needs to be done that is not in your original proposal so that your not surprized at the end of the job. I was alittle surprized by the additional work that needed to be done at the end. But it had to be done and I did get a 2nd opionion originally and they were right on target for their original proposal and I have used them for years now and they do good honest work.
