They were reasonably priced. They serviced it the next day so we liked that. Their professionalism was just basic.

They did an excellent job. Everything was done in one day. They got here early in the morning and were here until late in the evening. The cleanup was great. I can't say enough about them.

I have them come out twice a year. We've used them for about 10 years now. It was under warranty. I am very happy with them. They will call when it's due to be inspected. The rental is 1100 miles away, so it's nice when they do that. Then is did break down, they were out the next day.

Scotty invested many phone calls and several quote variations and a site visit before we agreed on the deal. Then all was done and working well within the day they arrived. Results have been great. n job well done w/proper attention to detail and good cleanup.

They came out right away, gave us a fair estimate on new Lennox air conditioners. They came back the next day with three crews and replaced the three air conditioners along with all the air handlers, etc. they were done that evening. They explained the system and called the next day to make sure everything was in working order. We were very pleased with the worked they performed. Would definitely use them again.

We had had a new A/C unit install four years ago and the humidity was always high. We had had 4 or 5 A/C companies out and no one could solve the problem nor did the have ant ideas to solve the problem other than replace the unit with one of their units. The installer had retired and moved so that was a dead end. Called Marlin James, told him what, how old and what the problem was, he came the following day, went up in the attic, checked the number of registers, thought about five minutes and said he could see two ways to solve the problem. The house was built in 1970 so the duct work was small, it had been replaced when the unit was put in but with the same size. Two ways here larger duct work or a second return, both roughly the same price so we went with larger duct work. He scheduled us for the following week and in 4 hours it was complete. No mess inside and what mess was in the garage was cleaned up. Now our humidity inside was in the high 60's which was high for sleeping. Now it's 48% plus our electric bill has fallen roughly $60.00 a month. In 16 months the lower electric costs have paid for the install so we are very happy with the install.

I called Marlin James, Inc. on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014. I spoke with someone (I assume a call service?), and they told me someone would call me back promptly. They were right! A gentleman called me back right away, and he asked me to check a valve on my A/C. He told me how to fix the problem over the phone in a very detailed, gentle manner. It worked! He saved us money and gained a new customer, my future referrals, and a good review here on Angie's List. I can see why they receive all these A's. I have put their number in my phone for future use, and living here in Florida, you know we will need them again.

John was very professional, arrived right on time and demonstrated the problem with the capacitor and why it should be changed. He did a great job.

It was excellent. They did exactly what they said they're going to do and gave me an estimate. They did the job very well and cleaned up after themselves so it was very good.

Inadequate service, so did not renew the annual Red's Club contract--servicing of units was not thorough, specifically drain pan not pumped/flushed, drain lines not cleaned and vacuumed thoroughly. Had recurring float cut off problems with one unit because unit was not serviced properly. On two occasions, I had to take my shop vac and vacuum out the unit's drain pan, within one week of servicing by Marlin James.

Everything was perfect and wonderful. We were very happy with them. We thought their price was very reasonable. They did well with everything that we asked. They were very accommodating and we would recommend them to anyone that asks us. We would recommend their price which was good and they did neat work. They checked their appointments and were able to see us quickly. They did the work quickly as well.

Engineers were professional, polite, and patient. They completed the job, were neat, and cleaned up. They brainstormed and answered multiple questions to my satisfaction. Would highly recommend.

We did call to schedule an appt but company said they could not come out for over 6 weeks; the question is why do they offer a coupon on Angie's list if they are not able to perform appointments within a reasonable time - when you buy a coupon for A/C cleanup I would expect someone to be able to come out within a few days or maybe within 2 weeks, but 6 weeks?

My air conditioning went out. Marlin James came out the very next day and kept in contact with me via phone. The technician was polite and professional. He replenished the freon in my a/c. I was first alarmed when hearing the price just for replenishing the freo but I am told that is pretty much the going rate as freon is expensive. The technician also said my unit had only about a year left in it, but that is what every technician has told me for the last five years. Overall, the experience with Marlin James was a very positive one.

It went great. Scotty saves me a lot of $ He listen to what went wrong w the unit out side. He had a hunch, even though he was a sales rep, he tested his hunch and found out that I only needed a new thermostat! Ty for being honest, u saved me a lot of$$$$

They did an excellent job, and they came out right away. They even pulled guys from another job to come help. They gave me part numbers to everything they needed to replace, they were very detailed.

I think the above indicates how happy we were with the service. Highly recommend them.

Dwight showed up promptly, introduced himself and explained exactly what he was going to do. As he went through our HVAC system, he pointed out the condition and showed me exactly what he looked for to indicate what was good (or bad) about my HVAC system. Dwight also took time to make some recommendations as far as what I can do to keep the system running at peak performance and efficiency. He also assured me as to the integrity of my equipment, as my outdoor unit has some years on it and I was concerned about what could be expected out of it as far as its service life. All in all Dwight did a fantastic job, was very thorough, and went to what I felt were great lengths to make sure I understood what was being done. Marlin James is lucky to have employees like Dwight!

I obtained four separate bids from different companies and selected another contractor for this work, who at the time was offering factory discounts on Carrier brand air conditioning units with 10 year maintenance plans at a very low cost, comparied to all the other bidders. Had that not been the case, I would have selected Marlin James to do the work. Marlin James did a nice follow up call several days after providing the bid to see if I had any questions.

Seriously, there is no other company I would ever trust with our A/C system now that we have had the best. Mr. Woodall came out for the initial visit. He was unable to stay and do the work we needed the same day. However, he sent his assistant out the same day and he was prompt, accurate in diagnosis, and courteous. The price was phenominal. We had 2 other a/c companies come out and all they were interested in was convincing us to buy a new air condition unit. These guys are guys you can trust that wont lie or rip you off.

It went very well. He was wonderful. He was very patient and patient. He sent me pictures. He contacted me and showed me what was wrong. He showed me what he did afterwards. He was very efficient.
