Mid-Florida Tree Service

It went very well. The initial estimate on time for permit removal was 3 weeks, but within 1 week they were calling to make the appointment. We were unavailable for a week so the next Monday, they came and cut down the tree and trimmed the other. The next day they did the grinding of the stump. Very happy with the work.

Each person we spoke with was very professional (estimator, office staff and the tree crew leader). The only hitch was having to call them a couple of times to get updates on permitting, scheduling etc. Very responsive to the calls though.

Excellent company. They were prompt to give us a quote (including license and insurance information), the prices were great, the service was fantastic! We will definitely hire them again. They trimmed our palm trees and removed a dead tree and stump. They cleaned up everything and hauled it away.

I could not be more satisfied. The crew members were professional, polite and thorough. The entire removal process and clean up exceeded my expectations. Great service at a reasonable price--hard to beat. I would hire them again and I recommend them without reservation.

The initial guy who came out to give us an estimate was prompt, courteous, and professional. He answered all my questions thoroughly and was very respectful. The work along the power line was done well and very quickly, and they cleaned up completely afterwards. The only issues I had were with the stump grinding. I think they contract out a guy who grinds stumps for them. We had originally asked them to grind 10 stumps; I later called and told them it would actually be 11. They said they would tell the guy to add one and that they would not charge me extra for it. The stump grinder did get 10 of my stumps, but left the 11th. I figured it was a miscommunication, so I called Mid Florida about it and they said they would get the guy to come back out. However, that has yet to happen. I don't entirely blame them - I did change the plan - but I think some of the miscommunication is on Mid Florida Tree as well. Nonetheless, I would probably use them again.

Tom Conte, the arborist worked with me and the city for weeks trying to get approval for the various things I needed done. He did not give up and kept me up to date through the whole process. I had 4 companies quote my work and Mid Florida came out the lowest overall and also very responsive. The work was performed yesterday and the whole job was done very well. The tress look great and they left my property clean and in good shape. Would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for tree word.

I scheduled a estimate for 3:30pm on a Friday over the phone and was confirmed for that time. While at work I receive a message around 10am from a technician that he is in the area and can come by early to do the estimates. While at work I do not have access to my phone so at 2pm I see they left a message. I called the technician back and left a message. Never returned my call and when I call the office at 4pm no one picked up so I left a message and never had a return call.

Arborist with Mid-Florida met w/ me to give estimate and the job was accepted. Guys showed up on time and did a good job for us. My only issue and why I chose to give this business a B rating over an A is as follows: the truck that the Mid-Florida company was using to haul away the trimmings and tree debris was prominently displaying a political sticker (for President, specifically). It immediately soured me to the company, because no matter where one may stand, I find it incredibly unprofessional to mix politics with business. And due to this display, I will look elsewhere for a company when our trees need service again.

Everything from the initial quote to final payment went perfectly. Everyone I spoke with was very professional. They even coordinated their work with my concrete contractor so I would not get stuck being the middle man. Highly recommended!

They still haven't called back and it has been days.

It went outstandingly. I'm the type person who has a problem sitting back when someone is doing my work for me, but this was a pleasure to see. I'm confident this would have taken me several weeks to do myself after coming home in the evening. I expected to see a couple folks and a truck. They brought an army. 10 crew members scurrying around like ants on a mission. Two large hauling trucks, chipper, the works. In about 1 1/2 hours, they had that monster cut down and on the road, cleaned up the gigantic mess and we're gone. Courteous, efficient, focused. Can't ask for more, in my book. Definitely recommend these folks.

The reason why I am writing this review is because the service was done well, on time and reasonably priced. I asked for an estimate and someone went to the property and gave me one that was reasonable. I asked for a date when the work would be done and I was given one and the work was done on that date. The crew cleaned up as much as possible after the completion and I was satisfied with the overall work. I would recommend Mid Florida Tree Service and also would use them again if I need work done.

They did a great job. My Palm was about thirty feet tall. They did cut-down only. They were done in about an hour. The tree was dying and I had it cut down before it fell down. Thanks MidFlorida Tree Service.

I called Mid-Florida for a quote to remove an Oak tree from my front yard as well as to grind the stump. I received the quote in a timely manner, however, that's where the professionalism stopped. I asked when we could schedule the job. The individual said someone from the office would call to schedule shortly. After 5 days having heard nothing, I called Mid-Florida and left a message on the recorder stating I was ready to schedule. Todate, I have not received a call back I did get a call over 2 weeks later stating they had had a "crew in the area and were ready to do the job" but noted it was already taken care of. Obviously, this company has a communication problem with their potential clients. Had they come by and I were not home I wonder if they would have cut the tree down anyway? I'll never know and I would NOT recommend this company for the above stated reasons.

Richard Lee who came out to provide the estimate is one of the nicest good 'ol boys you'll ever meet. The crew of 7, led by Ricky who is also friendly, were here on time and finished the job in under 2 hours. I have to say, I'm a pretty fussy guy and they cleaned up everything to my satisfaction. They raked all the debris from the yard and used a leaf blower on the concrete areas. A few hours later another guy showed up and ground down the stump in 10 minutes. He also cleaned up after the job was complete. Overall I'm very happy with the price and the service.

I have used Mid-Florida tree service for years and loved them, but this time I dealt with a new arborist-in-training since the arborist I have always worked with was unavailable. I requested the removal of a low-hanging branch, but, due to a 50/50 misunderstanding, the wrong branch (a cherished, fern-covered, beautiful branch that gave me privacy from the neighbors) was removed. Further, the crew damaged our gate/fence with the truck and left deep ruts in our yard. Though all these things were distressing, I would not be writing this review except for the arborist's lack of follow-through. The work was done on Monday, and that day, he apologized about the branch, and I told him that, given everything, I thought we were due a partial refund. I planned to use the money to purchase a large staghorn fern or two and heavy-duty hangers to fill the empty spot. He said he'd look into the refund and promised that the fence and ruts would be repaired that week. I never heard back from anyone that week. The next week, after he got my message from the week before, he did send out a man who did an excellent job repairing my fence and gate, and that man left some buckets of dirt for us to fill the ruts ourselves. I spoke with the arborist a second time, and he said he'd look into a partial refund. No one has ever contacted me again. I am disappointed with the lack of response from Mid-Florida Tree Service.

Their price was good and they came when they said they would come. They did a wonderful job. They gave us a good estimate and did a good job. I would absolutely use them in the future and have recommended them to others.

They responded promptly for my request for an estimate and were chosen because they produced the lowest bid. A crew of 6-8 men arrived with two large trucks and a chipper trailer at the time promised. They performed all the tasks and were gone within an hour. I was favorably impressed with their knowledge and proficiency to remove my problem.

Prompt. Responsive. Thorough. Mid-Florida Tree service coordinated with my electrical contractor to mobilize ahead of schedule to remove a limb that was impacting electrical service installation. They then returned to do the bulk of the work as agreed. It was completed on time and for the quoted amount. They also handled application for the permit.

A tree limb clipped the corner of our house - Mid Florida cleared the debris the same day with great efficiency and cleaned things up as best they could. This was $1475. Next day, the cleared the debris from another contractor who had removed a very hazardous limb from the neighbours tree. They also trimmed the tree so that it was at our property line, Excellent cleanup and even though they used a crane, minimal impact. The adjusted their qu down to by the amount I had paid the other contractor (from $3800 to $3100) with no fuss. The speed with which they fixed things was great. The professionalism was top-notch and we would definitely use them again, even though they are somewhat pricey. However, you get what you pay for. This was brought home to me a week later when the neighbour had the other contractor come out and complete removal of the tree - they left an appalling mess - dragging the tree parts out across grass rather than using a crane. Needless to say, there isn't much grass left, thankfully mostly not affecting our yard. We would definitely use Mid-Florida again.

Rick and a crew of six arrived on time with two large trucks and a heavy duty wood chipper. Worked over three hours and did an outstanding job. Look no further for your tree trimming needs. My wife and I are 110% satisfied.

The contractor brought an eight man crew with a bucket truck. They trimmed trees around the electric service line and then removed a low hanging limb on an oak tree over the house roof. They also removed dead limbs on another oak tree over the house. They were professional and removed all debris and cleaned up the job site. They did A+ work and I would use them again

Tom, the arborist, came out and assessed the health of the trees and made recommendations and quoted a price. He then came out on the first morning the crew arrived and showed the foreman what was to be done. The crew was very professional and polite. They did everything I asked and cleaned up well afterwards. It was projected that the job would take 3 days, but they finished in 2. It was pricy and I'm assuming they did a good job. Not being an arborist myself, it's hard to know.
