Description of Work: Trimmed oak tree branches from over our house and our neighbors house. |The date of service is approximate (should have done this review a long time ago). They did an excellent job. Also trimmed a couple of other trees. The trees are beautiful.

Description of Work: They pruned 5 live oak trees that were 25 years old. They raised the lower branches 10 ft. above the ground and cut branches away from the roof. They picked moss off the lower branches. All of the material they removed was ground up and they raked the yard when they were done. I am very pleased with their work and recommend them highly.

Description of Work: A rep from the company came out very quickly. Gave me a quote that was very unexpectedly low. I had 4 dead 35 year old water oaks and one dead pine tree. He put in permission from the county. When they received the ok which took less than a week the crew came out. | |Seven men a large dump truck and a huge chipper shredder. The work began. Men on the roof getting the high branches. Climbing trees and in 5 hours had 3 trees down and the wood cleaned up. Next day 15 guys showed up for the biggest of the trees. One was right outside my front door. They took it down so quickly I didnt have time to worry it wld hit the house. |Same cleanup. Not one branch or log in the yard. | |The next day the stump grinding man arrived and went right to work. The next day the rep from the company came to ask if I was satisfied with the work. Yes!!! The crews were great. Very organized and worked well as a team. | |I have already recommended them to two people needing trees removed at a great price. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: They lowered the canopy of a very large oak tree by ~5 ft, and trimmed canopies and branches of three additional trees. The team is very efficient and professional. The job was all done under 2 hours. I will definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: I had a tree with mistletoe, The mistletoe was destroying the tree. The estimated came out within 2 days. He seemed knowledgeable. He was an arborist. I really don't know if the price I paid was high or low. I did not get multiple quotes. Mid Florida was able to come out within a week and trim my tree. They sent an 8 man crew with cherry picker and wood chipper truck. They cut out all the mistletoe, the dead wood, and raised the canopy. I don't see anymore mistletoe. It will take a year or more to see if the pruning makes the tree thrive again. The crew seemed to know what they were doing. They cleaned up completely afterward. Even raked my yard.

Description of Work: I called Mid Florida Tree Service on Tuesday Feb 28, 2012 to schedule an appointment for an estimate. I explained that I may have to have a queen palm taken down as well as possible pruning on Laurel Oaks and magnolia tree at our home on Davis Islands. We also mentioned after the first estimate that we were Angie's list members and they gave us a discount. They said they would come after 3pm but before 4pm on Monday March 4th. They arrived at 345 pm. My wife was at home to show them our concerns. The same man that gave us our estimate showed up to check up on everything during actual work. We scheduled for the work to be done on Thursday Feb 8th between 830 and 9. They showed up at 845 am and were finished in about 3 hours. The Queen Palm we ended up taking down. It was not just a matter of knocking it down and then chopping it up. It was a 3 to 4 story tall palm that was oozing liquid and had many dead palm fronds barely hanging as well as the live ones. It was just a few feet from our main electrical powerline to the house, while on the other side ( within a foot ) there is a 5 foot high concrete wall that belongs to our neighbor and is already leaning into their yard. In addition, we have many rose bushes within 10 feet of the base of the palm. Adding to that is an above ground sprinkler line within a foot. In addition we had them remove deadwood from a laurel oak in our backyard and trim one limb from magnolia tree. Before all of this took place they explained our options ( including letting us know that most of the Laurel Oaks on Davis Islands are nearing their maximum life expectancy...another 3-5 years or so ....which is along the same lines of other sources I had asked ) without any pressure whatsoever. We also have two Laurel Oaks in the front yard that we chose not to trim due to their age ( as explained to us .) We will definitely use Mid Florida again. They left our yard just as they found it. The roses were untouched. I was prepared to lose a couple due to the close proximity. Very professional from start to finish. Great communication at every step.
