+ -1 moreI stayed home all day and waited for the city inspector. When he arrived, he confirmed what I knew. I was not going to be fined, it was Parker Doors that was!
Description of Work: I purchased a house and the prior owner did not get the final city sign off on the new garage doors. A very rude woman from Parker Doors called my me and I returned the call within 48 hours (even though they had called me and my father numerous times harassing us to call them.) I asked them what all this was about, and they said that, "The prior owner did not get the final sign off and the city will fine you $300 for every day you are late after the deadline. No pleasantries, just you you NEED and WILL do this or we will have the city come and fine you. I don't think that is the way it works. But I agreed to stay home all day - to wait for someone to come. A family emergency happened and I called go reschedule and they said that I could not do that, there would be a fine. When I asked a fine for me or you? She hung up on me. I called back and another person answered, and when I tried to tell them my concerns they were not interested...and again hung up on me. They then called my 80 - year-old father (who is also on the mortgage) and harassed him to fix this problem. Needless to say, both my elderly mother and father were stressed out by this "emergency" on the part of Parker Doors. The bottom line is that they dropped the ball and let the final inspection go unnoticed ...and when they realized that they were going to face a "fine", they threatened and lied to us so we would accommodate them on their schedule ...not ours.

They replaced the panels, realigned the tracks and adjusted the springs, taking great care to make sure all was running smoothly and quietly. Fast service, quality work and a good price. I would highly recommend them.

+ -1 moreA Parker Doors installer came out to perform a complimentary consultation and provide a quote on an entirely new garage door and motor unit, which went well. I maintained contact with Parker Doors afterwards, requesting several quotes for higher end setups. For my last request, I was told that they'd have to review the manufacturers catalog and get back to me. After about two weeks of no response, I called to ask about the status of my quote, and was told by the receptionist that they "no longer wanted the business," and then confirmed that they were still performing installations for other residential customers. I find it hard to believe that I annoyed them with my requests for quotes - I only asked for a few. I always take care to be courteous with contractors, especially during the quoting phase, which is why it was a shock to see Parker Doors turn an interested client away so coldly, especially when I was looking to purchase higher end, higher margin products. After my experience, I cannot recommend Parker Doors' services or worksmanship.

+ -1 moreInstallers arrived early (not a problem) and sat patiently in their trucks. I noticed the trucks and went out to greet them. They said they got an early start and would I mind if they started. They were both friendly and outgoing and answered all my questions. They worked for about 2-1/2 hours including clean up. Our new garage door looks great and new garage door opener is very quiet and efficient. Thank you Parker Doors for a job well done. P.S. My husband could not get the remotes in our cars to work with new opener. Called Parker Doors and asked for help. Service came out same day and programmed both car remotes for us.
Description of Work: Take down and haul away old garage door, rails and tracks, all hardware and remove and dispose of old garage door opener. Installed new garage door, all new rails, tracks and hardware and installed new garage door opener.

Description of Work: The beat home depots price by 2/3 and gave great service. They even came by to open my garage door in a separate trip so I could get my car out while the new door panels were on order. I had just had surgery and could not lift it myself. They also installed my garage opener and have been very good with warranty and service work. I will use they again and you should too!

In and out in less than 45 minutes. Price as promised, and they accomodated my nutty schedule to get me taken care of. I've had both Alan and Dave out here, and both guys are honest and awesome! WE keep their number posted on our refrigerator!

Since Parker Door installed the garage door opener a year and a half ago, I thought they would be the logical choice for troubleshooting the problem. I made an appointment with them over the phone and they set a time-frame between 9:30 and 11:30 on Monday. They stated that the repairman would contact me when he was en-route to my house. He arrived at 9:30 and immediately asked what type of problem I was having. He quickly diagnosed the issue with the speed control of the door opener and remedied it in about 15 minutes, he also lubricated the track and the rollers for me and suggested that the lubrication be done once a year. He was able to accept a debit card right on the spot and by 10am, he was on his way, and my garage door worked good as new! I will definitely use them again if I had to have a garage door opener installed or repaired.
Description of Work: Modified the door opener speed to stop the door from jerking so much and causing it to jam. Lubricated the rollers and door track. Advised me on regular maintenance.

+ -1 moreI found them on Angies List. One time I was finding difficulty in opening the door. All of a sudden it was not opening and it was because the center wire had broken off. They came immediately and did an excellent job. They had to replace a particular part that was expensive but it had a warranty and it would be good for many years to come. I would use them in the future.

The repairman arrived early at 10:05am looked over the job...gave me a price and went right to work. He was very knowledgeable,very nice and completed the work by 10:50am. He cleaned up and lubricated all the rollers on the door. GREAT JOB! Very pleased with this company and will certainly refer them to my friends and neighbors when they need work on their garage doors. Thanks! I appreciate the great service.

+ -1 moreThey are always good. They are punctual, courteous, and the entire staff is pleasant and communicative. They were able to come out right away when the cable broke and I wasn't able to get my car out of the garage.

We had thought the worse - that we were going to need a new door, but they handled the job without a hitch! Cost $100 but printed out the Angie's List coupon for $10 off.
