Description of Work: They came in and set up our home media system properly--basically cleaned up, organized, and installed what I had previously paid another company to do! Very professional, polite, knowledgeable, and worked quickly. I will call this company whenever I have home media/technological needs!

Description of Work: We needed help with a new sound bar which was not working due to not having the correct cable. Once that was done they made neat the mess of wires behind the DVR with the flat screen. It was great. Very professional. We learned a lot and recommend them for any audio visual needs.

Description of Work: I had a strange, unpleasant experience with THE THEATER DOCTOR. Twice Jeff set a time to come to my house to look at my room and equipment and give me the free estimate his business offers. Both times he not only did not show up, but didn't even call me to let me know that he wasn't going to make it. I understand that unexpected things come up, but it's simple common courtesy to let someone who rearranged their schedule to be there know that you won't be able to do what you had said you would. And to do this twice means that this wasn't an isolated incident. | |As it turns out, waiting this time was actually a significant problem for me, meaning that they didn't just waste my time. When I called the second time to ask what had happened, Martine (I think) told me that Jeff had already "bent over backwards" for me (?) and she didn't see what more he could do. I asked that he simply let me know if he's not going to show up when he said he would, and she told me that I should look for another theater installer. I can honestly say that I've never had an encounter like this with someone offering services before. | |Looking at other reviews makes this look like an aberration, but it was so bizarre--why not just apologize for twice not showing up when you had made a commitment to? why not just give a quick call saying that you couldn't make it?--that I would give strong second thoughts before engaging this company. There are plenty of other home theater installers around (I ended up going with Advance Electronic Solution, and they were great), so I recommend going somewhere else.

Description of Work: They installed a TV, in-ceiling speakers, two speakers on the porch, a receiver, a universal remote, a blu-ray player, and an iPod player.

+ -1 moreIt really corrected the ills and now everything works fine. They did very fine job. They were very pleasant, timely, and reasonable.
Description of Work: They redid our whole sound system; our TV, tuner, CD player, and speakers. They tied it all in with the TV cable and a diverter. They redid how things were set up and tied together. We didn’t purchase any equipment through them, they just redid the setup of the equipment we had.

+ -1 moreThey were out of this world exceptional. They had some of the best customer service I have experienced in a while. They are terrific. They consulted with me to help me choose all of the right equipment which was all inside of my budget.
Description of Work: They helped me put in my whole AV system for the main part of the house. They put in a surround sound system, wired all of the rooms for sound, created multi channels, put the TVs up, and configured the whole system. I had a wireless turnkey system that now works easily. The remote they gave me had broken, but they came back out to replace it and reprogrammed it completely without even asking.

+ -1 moreThe Theater Doctor was very professional, punctual, and did a wonderful job. You could tell he really cared about what he was doing and wanted to be sure we were happy with the installation. He never tried to "up-sell" us (we bought our speakers from him). Everything was done to our specifications. We would definitely use him again.
Description of Work: The Theater Doctor mounted a plasma TV, installed 5.1 surround sound (in-wall speakers), and connected our internet connection to the system.
