The team One Hour sent was very professional, quiet and they worked hard. The did a great job cleaning up after themselves. They were there by 10 AM and it took them about 5 hours.
Description of Work: Our A/C stopped working on Saturday 8/5/2017. We called One Hour and they were there that evening. Unfortunately for us we needed a new A/C unit. Fortunately for us, they approved a line of credit and installed a new unit on Sunday 8/6/2017.

Great! We had the work done. As we are veterans, we were eligible for The Club (a semi annual maintenance service, with discounts for repair) We got about a 20% discount on the labor cost.. I am pleased with Trenell's work and friendly attitude. Instead of sweating until Monday afternoon, we are sitting in comfort on Friday evening.
Description of Work: On Thursday morning, the AC stopped working. I could not get the company I bought the Lennox AC from 3 years ago to come out to service until Monday afternoon--4 days of living in 88 degree heat indoors. I called One hour at 12 PM Friday. The repairman Trenell was here between 2 and 3 PM, and our AC was fixed by 6 PM! Trenell had to drive about 40 miles round trip to get the part for us. Air Handler Blower Motor needed to be replaced under warranty. He worked hard in the heat in our garage and in the hot attic to replace and clean the blower fins. He recommended that we switch to better filters to catch the dirt and prevent buildup of mold. The technician from the company we bought the Lennox equipment from said we should switch to the cheap and flimsy thin filters so we would not put any strain on the blower. This was not good advice. The filters did not look dirty even after 90 days. Translation: they weren't doing the job and catching the dirt and particles. A lot of dirt got into the blower, and probably back into our nostrils.

Horribly. Working through some personal issues when they did their service call. They lied to me and pressured me into extra purchases. I think the salesman, oops repairman, sensed I was distracted. They will sense weakness and exploit it. When I gave them a bad rating in response to their follow-up email, they ignored it and then had the audacity to send me an email about signing up for service plans. They should be avoided at all costs.

The unit still worked but they insisted on coming in the two days before Thanksgiving. I should've know better. They were to change out the unit outside and replace all the ductwork inside the house. When I returned home from work on the evening before Thanksgiving it was obvious the workers left in a rush and failed to clean up properly. There was insulation all over the garage, dust everywhere and a general disarray of my personal property. I called the next day and left a message requesting the supervisor on the job call me back. Of course that person was on vacation and I never heard from him. Two weeks later they sent some other guy to apologize and another guy to sweep the garage and driveway, which had already been cleaned two weeks prior. We felt disrespected after giving them $15k. Meh. The unit works well but I expected more in the way of customer service.
Description of Work: I called in Nov 2016 because the A/C unit was making noises and since it was 11 years old, replacement was recommended and agreed upon.

It was very good. We haven’t have any problems with them. One time, I called them because a pan overflowed in the attic and they had to come out and they were here 45 minutes but I know that doesn’t happen all the time.

They came out to my house seven times because they could identify the problem correctly. I would not recommend them or work with them again.

Hi [Member Name Removed], I'm so sorry that this was your experience with us. I just reviewed your account and see that we had a few things going on with your system. It looks like we tried to clear a stubbornly clogged drain line in July and August, then made the move to replace the drain line, ran a new thermostat line to the condenser and added the water sensor (safety float switch). Once those repairs were done we found you had a low subcool, so we asked you to monitor as that could be indicative of a leak. We then came back out in September and did a dye injection for leak search purposes which included 3 pounds of refrigerant. As is included with the dye injection for leak search, a return trip was made in October to see if the dye could be seen so we would know where the leak was in order to repair it. Unfortunately, as sometimes happens with small leaks, there was no dye found at that time. Ten days later your system iced up, which is common when there is a refrigerant leak. We came back out and we were able to see the dye on the lowside line inside the condenser. Luckily, it was in a repairable location so we made the repair. It looks like then you had a capacitor that failed in November which we replaced and noticed that again the refrigerant was low so we re-repaired the leak and added 6 pounds of refrigerant at no additional charge as we do stand behind our work and offer 100% satisfaction guaranteed. I agree that having a company out seven times to fix your AC is frustrating to say the least. Unfortunately, with refrigerant leaks, they can be a multiple visit kind of repair. However, I would like to opportunity to make you happy and give us the opportunity to continue to service you. It does appear that the technician that made the leak repair didn't do a good job, but Kevin came behind him and made it right. I trust you are no longer having any issues or you should definitely let us know. I'd be happy to refund your money or offer you a free year of maintenance or whatever else might help you restore your confidence in our company. We always do what is right by our customers and pride ourselves in making sure each and every customer is 100% satisfied. Please contact me at the office between 7am and 5 pm Monday through Friday. Since they installed the A/C unit we have had nothing but issues. We have been cited by the county on 5 different violations. We have asked them to come fix it but they keep sending technicians that do not understand what needs to be done. I am very disappointed.

The service tech was friendly. He told me the a/c was 10 years old and probably at the end of it's life here in Florida. Said we needed two capacitors cost around $500. Said he sprayed a solution on the coils to dissolve the dust, etc. He also told me that the coupon I had was just to "get their foot in the door". I declined the capacitors. One year later, still working fine.

The service went very well. The staff that answered the phone were very polite and scheduled a same day service for my elderly Aunt's malfunctioning central air system. They were prompt in diagnosing the problem despite periods of very bad weather. The unit was replaced the next day and they even had to trouble shoot a problem with the electrical supply. Very kind and caring serviceman "Steve" who assured me that my Aunt would be comfortable. I would definitely recommend them.

Ramone of One Hour Air had to undo the damage that Heavenly Air did. Heavenly Air installed the 5 ton 10 KW Trane AC several years ago and did a very poor job. They did not install the coil correctly and the drain pipe was installed with to much pressure against the PVC pipe so it cracked. Also the AC did not have enough intakes for its size so it "couldn't breath". When we had Heavenly Air come out to fix it they had no idea how. They messed with it and left with it working worse. They just made the problem worse. When we asked for their help they threw up their hands and said they would not come back out! In hind sight I believe they had no idea how to fix it so were cutting their losses when they refused to come back out. We were left in the lurch. Then we found One Hour A/C and heating. They spent many days undoing what Heavenly Air had done. They added an additional return, replaced many parts on the outside unit under warranty that Heavenly Air said were not under warrantee and refused to even check with Trane to ask. Now our AC is working very efficiently and we are thrilled that we found One Hour Air. The people who answer the phones are upbeat and efficient. Ramone our technician is the best! He is knowledgeable, answers all my questions, is very respectful, takes as much time as is needed to get to the bottom of the problem and do the job right. He also installed a UV light that kills the bacteria that grows inside the unit and the air ducts. I can tell that it is working very well because the air smells much better, fresh and clean.

Air conditioner goes out over the weekend. So I call for an appointment. Friendly person answers the phone and set up time for next day. The Tech arrives the next day when he was supposed to and is very polite and professional. Now here is where the fun starts. He inspected the condenser outside, inspected the air handler inside, and then tells me it cannot be repaired because the coil is shot, and because they do not make that part any longer (which is true, it is an old unit). Bottom line, he said, is that I need an entirely new a/c unit. As that is an expensive proposition (at least $4k for a cheapo unit), I thanked him for his time and I call for a second opinion. I had the good fortune of being referred to Just TCB Air by my Realtor. The Owner of Just TCB came out the SAME DAY and not only did I NOT need an entirely new unit, it turns out it needed a few simple electronic parts (e.g., a capacitor and a switch) and NOT a new coil. Devin of Just TCB went through every possibility analyzing why the unit wouldn't start and got my a/c unit up and running in an hour and for a little over $200!!!!!! Don't get me wrong, the One Hour People are very professional and courteous, but it seems they are much more interested in selling you an expensive unit than actually performing less profitable repair work. It was clear from the other company, that this problem could have been discovered if a little more time was spend with the unit to see WHY it was not working. Thus, based on that experience I cannot recommend One Hour Air for any repair.

Very poorly. Unfortunately we set up a service contract with One-Hour Air Conditioning and Heating out of Tampa on June 19th, 2014. We wasted much money and time with this company. On January 23, 2015, the company tried to tell us our upstairs unit was defective and was going to ice up and come through the ceiling. We even had the manager come out. By the time of this incident, this was our 5th service call in six months, and we had spent over $3,276 in unnecessary repairs for our upstairs and downstairs AC units. When we finally called a reliable and honest company to check out our units, we were informed that they were still both under warranty and we paid for parts that One-Hour turned in to the manufacturer. I would never recommend this company. After this experience, I joined Angie's List to search for honest and reliable companies.
Description of Work: One-Hour AC&H checked our upstairs AC system and said it was inoperative on 1-13-15. This checkout was performed as part of the service contract we set up on 6-19-14. The estimated cost to repair was $596.00 -members fee. On 6-19-2014, the report said this upstairs AC unit was in perfect condition. We were suspicious since our home was built new in 2010. We had already spent over $3,276 to One-Hour AC&H in six months for repairs and "needed" services. It turns out their recommended repairs were incorrect and not required. Also discovered parts One-Hour replaced were actually under warranty and they turned in the parts but did not credit us for the parts. I would never use this company again.

Our heat went out when we lost power, everything reset and it no longer worked. They came out to try and fix it. They checked all of the wiring and said everything is fine except for the thermostat. They lost all of our money for our warranty. So now we only have a minor warranty and nothing major in case anything happened. They put their name brand sticker on certain things and if something goes wrong that they did, but it doesn't have a sticker, they wont cover it. I want to go on TV to warn people about using this company, they are a huge rip-off. That's one of the reasons we are moving because I don't want to even talk to them. The same thermostat they want to charge me $300, I can get at a home store for $40. There fee system is outrageous, they want $95 before anyone ever comes out and then they will tell you their estimate after you pay them. The people they have come out, specifically the most recent gentlemen, is an angel.
