Because I live in a leased property, the owner of the home (who lived out of state) needed to be contacted to approve of the servicing of the ac unit. The owner was contacted and gave approval for the unit to be inspected, he also was informed of the servicing verdict and agreed to have a new unit installed. The actual installation of the new unit took place the following morning. The installation team, led by Aaron and his associate John, arrived first thing in the morning and began dismantling the old unit. They were soon joined by Cory, the owner of the company, who arrived with the new unit. All of these individuals were so professional yet personable and obviously very well versed in their trade. I also got to meet Ed, Cory's Dad, who arrived to replace a couple of circuit breakers. The old unit had unquestionably served its time, and it was quickly taken apart and removed. The new unit, drains, and thermostat were quickly and efficiently installed. I can't begin to describe how quickly something so unpleasant turned into a great experience. It was (and is) extremely hot and I know all ac repair companies are extremely busy, but One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating was prompt, pleasant, and proficient. They kept me informed every step of the way and I would recommend their company to anyone who needs ac or heating service. I believe you can count on them to give you an honest appraisal of your system's needs and get you up and running as quickly as possible. You can count on them to be very direct in their assessment and be assured of getting the best value for your investment. I am thrilled with the difference this new system has made, the house stays at a comfortable temperature without straining to do so and the system dehumidifies the air making it it drier and fresher. I really appreciate all of the team at One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating and want them to know how much I appreciate their valuable service. They truly stand out in their dedication.

They did whey they said they would, and they came quickly. I never met them. I wasn't there when they did the work, so I can't say anything about their attitude or professionalism or anything.

The job was great. I didn't have any problems. The price was a little excessive. My only fault was that I thought it was quite expensive. It was top of the line equipment with a 15 seer which is energy efficient. It does do a great job so I got what I paid for. There is a 10 year warranty on the equipment.

However, the serviceman would tell us that additional, non-routine work was needed. At the end of the last service call, the tech said our duct work needed to be replaced, which would cost $5,000-$8,000.He also said a UV light which another One Hour tech had installed was put into the wrong location. I had another company imspect the duct work, and paid $50 for minor repairs. In other words, the duct work, although old, was still serviceable.

Luke was prompt and polite. Wore protection over his shoes in the house and cleaned up around the unit in the garage and at the compressor. He explained the overall condition of the unit and made some adjustments to keep it running smooth. We discussed the benefits to add a Hard Start Kit, we decided to have one installed and he took care of it during the same appointment, he left his cell phone number in case we have any further questions.

We've worked with One Hour Air Conditioning for about a year. We found them after a disastrous experience with another company (who put in a mismatched system that was a constant - and very costly - headache). Our only regret in that we didn't find One Hour Air Conditioning sooner. This company knows how to run their business right - They're not out for a fast buck, they're thinking long term - They build relationships with their customers. They know they need to be reliable, skilled, courteous, and professional. When you have someone coming into your home, working on crucial systems that you depend on every day but know very little about, you need to have a company you can trust. We have been very happy with One Hour Air Conditioning in Tarpon Springs. They pay attention to details that other companies don't even think about - like protecting your flooring when they work in your house. They respond rapidly when we have a problem. They're on time! They give you detailed documentation to support their warranties and service agreements - and then they come quickly if you need to exercise your rights under that warranty. They didn't push us into stuff we didn't need but they did give us an honest and detailed appraisal of what we did need and why we needed it, including photos that they took the day of their visit, to show us where we had problems with our equipment. When repairs and installation were done, they showed the parts and equipment to us, explained what they did, answered my questions. They also gave us plenty of payment options. You don't want to waste time and money with an A/C company that's going to leave you with a system that will break down every few months, or a system that runs continuously but hardly makes a difference in the air temperature - and then they don't come when you need them for repairs. That was our experience before we found One Hour. With the new system they've installed, the temperature in our house is even - it feels the same in every room. We can feel the movement of air when the system turns on. And the system brings the air to our desired temperature quickly, then turns off. And on top of it all, their staff - from the office to sales to technicians - are nice people. We finally found a good A/C company.

Our heating and cooling system was constantly shutting down, resulting in costly repairs. My husband and I decided to end this misery once and for all. I searched the internet for local companies with good performance ratings through Angie's List and selected three of the highest rated to evaluate our needs and propose a solution. We were searching for more than a good deal, we were looking for good honest people who really cared about us and establishing an ongoing relationship for the service of our new system. Unfortunately we weren't able to accomplish our lofty goals as the companies we selected seemed to be more interested in just making the sale. I prayed that we would find an answer to our needs. I don't remember the details of how I found the web site, just mechanically filling out a form with my name, phone number and the service I was seeking. Within a few minutes my phone rang and a sweet voice said "Hi, this is Kim from One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating." Within 15 minutes she was at my door and I knew my prayers were being answered. To make a long story a bit shorter, my husband Tommy and I met Ed O'Kelly (the father), Kim and Cory (daughter and son) and Aaron their dedicated installation expert. We haven't met all of them as yet, but will over the years. The bottom line is this family is truly dedicated to serving others. They work with precision for the benefit of their clients and we wholeheartedly recommend them for their honesty, thorough knowledge of their heating and air conditioning craft and best of all, we now have a fantastic top notch state of the art heat and air system guranteed by the O'Kelly Family. They are very prompt when I call. They were some covering for the shoes, so that they don?t leave anything inside the house. They may be a little on the high side in terms of price, but not very high. They have always done a good job.

On a Friday evening, my central air conditioner stopped working. Scott's charged $139 for the service call. They also replaced two parts for a total of $623. The unit worked through the evening but started to trip the circuit breaker the next day. I replaced the circuit breaker but the AC unit continued to trip the new circuit breaker. I called Scott's again and a different repair man stated that the compressor was bad and we needed to replace the entire system. Scott's gave me an estimate of $9,500. I obtained another estimate from a different company and their estimate was $7500 for the same exact system. I did not purchase from Scott's and asked for a refund for the parts that were installed. They refused my initial request. I wrote a letter and they eventually agreed to refund the cost of parts but not the cost of the service call.

Installers were punctual, hard working, and polite, as was all of the other personnel. I have not been used to customer service as a being a major concern of a company in many years. One Hour is customer oriented.

They were prompt. It was not cheap, but we have noticed our bills have gone down. It seems to be working fine. We purchased a service agreement with them.

This was the second time that I needed to call a plumber to unclog the same drain in my bathroom. The first service was performed by another plumbing company in 2002 and cost appx. $150. Scott's Plumbing charged me almost $300 for the very same service. I felt ripped off and will never use them again.

Notably, he did not test the system beyond the turning it on and off. The air conditioner then worked for about 20 minutes and then stopped. A one-year warranty on labor. He came back and said the outside compressor was bad. Could replace outside unit or the whole system. I said it was not reasonable to pay for the labor, and was told those costs could only be taken into account if I buy a new unit from them. On several occasions I tried talking to the people at Scott's about my concern that this was (the labor) not a reasonable charge. Each time I was told that if I bought the whole new unit from them, this cost would be taken into account. A competent technician would have correctly diagnosed the compressor problem as requiring a new one. Such a company would charge me a trip fee, let's say $100. I would think long and hard before using somebody who is primarily a plumber, but branching out into air conditioning. I feel I was treated unfairly and overcharged.

THE GUY CAME OUT AND CHECKED THE PROBLEM. HE SAID WE NEEDED TO HAVE A PIPE DUG UP AND REPLACED, SO IT WOULD BE ABOUT $300. I CALLED BACK LATER TO SCHEDULE THE WORK AND HE SAID IT WAS $2100, NOT $300. I TOLD HIM I WOULD WAIT TO HAVE THE WORK DONE. I CHECKED WITH ANOTHER COMPANY AND THE GUY CAME OUT AND TOOK CARE OF THE DRAIN CLOG FOR ONLY $30, AND FOUND THERE WAS NO NEED FOR A PIPE REPLACEMENT, AND THE CLOG WASN'T EVEN ON MY PROPERTY BUT HE TOOK CARE OF IT ANYWAY.
