Schleman Plumbing Service Inc

This is a rental house. I contacted them and they came within a couple of hours. The technician was very thorough and explained the repair, condition of the drain and a preventive remedy. The renters were very pleased with the prompt response.

Thursday they showed up and assessed the job. Rescheduled job for the next day.

They did a very good job. They were very nice and extremely timely.

Excellent job. Fixed it perfectly.

They had to come back and do more work. They were people that you felt safe with. They cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave a mess. I can't think of anything that they could do better. They were very punctual.

Our sewer line from the house was blocked and was backing up into our house. We called Schleman plumbing on a Sunday afternoon. The plumber came right out to our house and looked over the situation. He told us what was needed and gave us the option of him returning with the necessary equipment later that afternoon (Sunday) or the next day. We opted for him to return on Monday. Plumber showed up bright and early on Monday morning and began to snake the drain from our roof. Snake stopped approximately 20 feet from our house and could go no farther. The plumber then offered to dig up the yard by hand to find the outside entrance into the drain. This is something we didn't even know was on the property. He found the drain opening which had been buried, and installed an extension and cap on it so we would have easy access should problems arise in the future. He then ran a camera through the drain pipe to see what was clogging it. Turned out to be tree roots clogged the pipe where it meets the town drainage system. He suggested we call the town and have them send someone out to take a look before he went any further. The town came out and fixed the pipe without charge. The Schleman plumber charged us only for the work he did. He could have charged us to dig up our yard but he knew the best course of action was to contact the town and he told us so. My compliments to this company. I recommend them highly and will call only them if I ever need another plumber.

They were very responsive, very professional, and the price was very reasonable.

Mickey was the plumber that took care of everything. This is an old house, so nothing was predictable and so he run into a lot of things he didn't expect to run into and he was so patient and he would stay in the place and he wouldn't just leave with a big mess. He sometimes leave here until 6-6:60 in the evening because he really wanted to make sure water would be turn back on. There were a lot of obstacles along the way and he handled them very well and the price didn't up and he knew what he's doing. Again, they charge what they said they;re going to charge, so always responsive.

Plumber was on time, friendly and quoted the price up front. Had to come back 3 times due to having to order new faucet. Spoke to manufacturer on my behalf and was able to have it replaced vs using parts. Extremely happy with service and quality of work.

They were very receptive and kind on the phone.?Ben the worker who came out was very professional. You could get in contact with them and they?answered any questions. They were efficient and the job was done on time. The price was right. They were very clean and no mess was left behind. We will call them again if we need the service.

Very polite, scheduled a plumber to come out to my house within 3 hours. He arrived in the timeframe, quickly found the problems, showed me what was wrong, and fixed it. I hate dealing with things like this, but this company made it painless.

Overall, this work was intermittent over a period of 1+ week, due to staff shortages and emergencies. I received communications and trusted the work would be done, but the numerous schedule interruptions would have been intolerable had I been working.

I've used this company before and have always been pleased with the quality of their work. I gave them a lower rating this time because of a scheduling issue. I set up the appointment with the scheduler and later on I received a call from the plumber as to the time frame to expect him the next day. When he didn't show up, the scheduler told me he was on another job and he that he shouldn't have called me on his own. The next day, they sent out that same plumber which made a bit uncomfortable. When I asked him about the mix-up, he offered no explanation. His work was fine although, he could have completed the job in less than two hours. This experience made me uneasy about using this company again.

I called them and left a message. They called me back, and I asked them about a leak coming from my water meter. The provider was backed up and didn't feel that my situation was an emergency. They said they could do it Monday, so I called a different company and went with them.

Good all around experience as usual.

We've used this plumber several times, on 2 different properties we own. l have given them A reviews, and even referred them to a friend. The plumber quickly got to the house, unclogged my drain, then we noticed the disposal sounding funny. I was told the blades, were probably bent, and maybe from putting too much stuff down the drain. I asked him to see if it was still under warranty since I had them install it last year. The office lady (Don't remember her name) said It won't be covered under the warranty since I had egg shells clogging the drain! She wouldn't honor the warranty, but would be happy to give me the info for the Disposal manufacturer so I can deal with it myself!! Where is customer service? It's not like I'm an idiot! I'm almost 50 years, old. I know when I've been negligent and cause an appliance to overload, or break. I've never had a problem putting eggshells down the drain before. And I certainly didn't expect that to VOID A WARRANTY! I'm not impressed with the service provided by the office staff! The plumber was, friendly, professional, and did a great job. I'd recommend him! Not sure I'll be using this company again!!! Gina

Called late Saturday night and they were out that Sunday to fix it, cleaned up after himself. I would have given an A however, I did not agree that the Angie's list discount did not apply to the charge. How does it not apply the discount states: "Angie's List members receive 10% off their first service calls. Coupon applies to service calls only. Must present at ti..."

arrived on time after calling to confirm. checked drain determined proper procedure to clear drain. cleared drain

I CALLED AND SCHEDULED THEM TO MEET WITH MY RENTER. THEY SET IT UP AND DID A NICE JOB. REPLACED A WAX RING AND SUPPLY LINE. WE WILL BE USING THIS COMPANY AGAIN...

I was charged $85 an hour. I showed the plumber what I wanted done. He said he needed to get a part and left. He came back over an hour later. I didn't mind , until I found out I was paying for shopping. $85 an hour. I think they should tell you up front about this. After he left I called to complain about the "shopping" charge and ask about the Angie's List discount that I forgot to mention while he was here. The receptionist said I would definitely get a call. Nobody called.[] \ ]

The plumber that we spoke with said that the problem we had could not be resolved by a plumbing company and referred us to a company that extracts water since our problem was that we had dampness on carpet that was not near any plumbing lines.

Plumber showed up on time, reviewed the problem, and provided me with both a course of action and estimated cost. Rather than use copper to replace the leaking cooper he chose to replace it with shark bites and PVC. After four attempts to get the PVC installed properly and 5 hours he was successful in getting a water tight repair. Along the way he did have to replace both gate valves to my water heater and house service, so about one hour of that 5 hours was on these two valve replacements. The following Tuesday I noted water on the floor leaking from the cinder block near the service valve that was replaced, Schleman came back out and discovered after chiseling out the cinder block that it was a pin hole in the copper tube coming in from the service valve. We were unable to determine if the pin hole was a result of the previous repair or just circumstantial, so I decided to except it as a new problem as long as he repaired in copper. The problem was fixed and all is dry.

While building my own house I was ready for the final plumbing fixtures (sinks, water heater, faucets) so I called and scheduled a crew to bring out the fixtures and install them. All the work was great, fast and it passed county inspection. By the way, when the inspector learned that Schleman's did the work, the inspection was a breeze.

On 10/19/2012, Mickey came out because the kitchen drain was slowly draining and quickly backing up.He snaked the drain pipe several times but it did not effectively clear up. The 2-inch diameter drain pipe was going to need replacing under the house so we scheduled for my next available day. On 10/26/2012, Mikey promptly arrived at 8 AM, calculated the supplies he wouild need and went to Home Depot. Returning shortly, he replaced the drain pipe under the house and tied it into the bathroom piping to improve the flow velocity and shorten the length of pipe needed. He also installed an air sparger (?) under the sink as additional ventilation for improved flow. The original pipe was completely plugged from years of kitchen disposal waste. Thought it would take about 4 hours but was done in 2 1/2 hours. Mikey was very polite and informative on care and maintenance of the drainage system and what NOT to put down the garbage disposal (i.e. specific food items). He left at 10:25 AM.
