All of the windows and doors are high efficiency and called Argon Impact windows and doors. I am very impressed with the workmanship and the contractors they sue. The price was reasonable and the workmanship was done with American workers. I highly recommend them.

They took a 4 day job and drug it out for 6 weeks. It was the worst experience I had with a contractor ever. They finally got the job done. In order to get my rebate info I could give to my electric company I would call them and I never got it. They told me they had their own installers and they don't. The first crew that installed the windows messed up and they had to send a new crew out to reinstall the windows. At one point I didn't have a window in one of my rooms for a day.

We were a little skeptical since this company was not on Angies List and we typically don't hire anyone without a good Angie's List rating. However, we were in a bind. We were doing a major remodel of our home prior to moving in and needed a window company that could get windows installed in our house with only 3 weeks notice. New South was the only company that could commit to this because they actually manufacture their own windows. With that said, I wouldn't expect this as the norm. We had very unusual circumstances. We had to get approval from the owner, Earl Rahn, in order for the salesman to commit to this. We know if was extremely difficult for them to meet the 3 week deadline and they probably wouldn't be very keen on doing it again. Their normal turnaround is 5-7 weeks. All the other companies quoted us 6-8 weeks or more because they have to order the windows from a manufacturer and then have them shipped. It was highly attractive for us that New South didn't have to do that since they manufacture their windows right here in Tampa. Plus their costs were less then all the other companies because they cut out the middle man. This seemed to good to be true and we knew we were taking a risk on them. Luckily we were not disappointed. I really have to commend Earl Rahn and his company. They got our windows installed within the time line they promised. The windows are beautiful and very energy efficient. Our sales guy Michael was always very responsive and always promptly called me back or better yet answered his phone the first time I called! The installers were very nice and clearly knew what they were doing. The only problem was that they often didn't show up until later in the day and it took almost 5 days to do the install instead of the 2-3 days we were originally told. That was a very minor issue though considering everything else. The windows have been installed for about a month now and so far no problems. We would definitely recommend New South to our family and friends.

New windows were ordered before Christmas 2011 and were installed 6 weeks later. One latch was broken upon installation and was not replaced for another six weeks. The company said they would take care of all of the building permits yet they failed to arrange for completion of the building inspection until mid April 2012 at which time they replaced the broken latch. The company was contacted about the building inspection completion multiple times and did not follow through as they said they would in a timely manner. I eventually refused to speak with one of their representatives because this person had failed to follow through on promises following several calls and I could no longer trust the person to do what they said they would do. All of the web sites they provided to me for signifiicant additional rebates for installing energy efficient windows turned out to be incorrect - no additional rebates were available other than a $200 federal tax credit. Window quality is excellent and price is good but service and follow through were aggravating and dissappointing.
