I originally placed my order for ~$30K worth of sliding doors and windows back at the end of September (9/24/2015) and provided an initial deposit of $10,500. The Sales person verbally indicated 6-8 weeks, but the contract clearly stated 7-9 weeks. As it turns out, I would have been very happy with 7-9 weeks. It's now 18 weeks and counting. I called the Sarasota office in early November and was informed that order was not thru production yet. Several follow-up calls and several weeks later, I was promised an install date just before Christmas - never happened. I received a call on 1/4 from Steve L. that the windows were ready to be installed and the doors would be available to be installed the week of 1/11. I was travelling on business both of those weeks, so we agreed to do the complete installation the week of 1/18. Windows were installed on 1/18. The sliding doors "couldn't be found" for delivery. On Monday, 1/25, I spoke with Steve and was told that the doors were found and we scheduled the installation for 1/29. Today (1/29), the crew didn't show up. Didn't call. Not even a call from Steve. After another round of follow-up calls with Steve, I now have yet another promise that the job will be done next week. They say they have the doors, but it was a crew availability problem that caused them to miss today's date. I no longer believe anything they say. I'll believe it when I see it. How can you treat your customers so poorly?

On time during the whole job, from initial estimate through completion. All of their representatives were very professional and kept us informed on what to expect and when they were done, there was no debris left behind. They even replaced all our marble sills at no extra cost.

This has been a nightmare from day one! We contracted NewSouth in August of 2015, we were promised an 8-10 week delivery and were informed in early November that the order was in and they scheduled the install. When the installers arrived they only had half the order with them with no indication on when the balance would be ready. I tried numerous times to contact the manager (of what I don't know) Dan McCarty and could not reach him. I sent the installers away and told them that in accordance with the terms of their onerous contract that I had signed that partial installations were not covered in the contract. Some 3 weeks later they called stating that the order was complete and installation was scheduled. When they arrived and only after my original windows were removed it was discovered that one window and the 3 panel slider were incorrect. I was stuck and reluctantly paid the second of three installments on the contract. The installers noted on the completion ticket the errors that were found and included in their report that the 2 panel slider also was incorrect. After another three weeks, (we are in mid December now) the correct 3 panel slider and window came in as well as the mis-measured window. I though all was fine until we discovered that the lockset was incorrect on the 3 panel slider....on to December 24th, 2015. During a storm in the week of 12/7 I went in the room where the 2 panel door that the initial technician had commented about the fit to discover a strong breeze coming through the gap where the door panels meet in the center strong enough to blow a candle out. With all the other problems I had forgotten about the installers notes on the 2 panel door. The correct lockset was installed by the only competent person that I have dealt with so far at NewSouth - namely Colin. Colin went to the 2 panel door and observed that the two panels were different widths and could not believe they had passed county inspection. Colin measured the doors and told me he would order a replacement. On January 4th 2016.....FIVE MONTHS after the start of this debacle, I called NewSouth and was told the replacement door would be in on January 8th. I was patient and waited until the 14th to call again, I was told the door was not yet in and the delay was due to the holidays. I digress a bit and have not covered that this is my second horrible experience with NewSouth, the first was in 2014, you would think I would have learned. One of the main problems is that you never get the same person twice when you call and when you request a call back from the last person you spoke with it never comes. I have on two occasions taken the time to go to their showroom to confront Earl Rahn and Dan McCarthy with no apparent solution to my problem. Back to January 14th, I lost it and sent Mr. Earl Rahn a nasty email. He by return email promised to address the problem and would be in touch. So today on January 18th I received a call from Raymond Rose who began to explain to me that this door mis-match is a warranty issue and he would have the manufacturer contact me....manufacturer? Did I leave out the part that although the commercials on TV tell you they have a factory, they don't make their own sliding glass windows or doors? He went on to tell me that there was no replacement door on order for me and that Colin should not have told me he had the authority to correct their problem. At this point I lost my temper and am guilty of using profanity, Mr. Rose hung up on me. I tried to call Earl Rahn, but he will not return a phone call. I just heard from Mr. McCarthy who claims he might have a door panel in stock that will fit and will call me back today or tomorrow. Anybody taking bets that I will receive a call? If they had this panel in stock why have I waited an extra month? Wouldn't you be lowered to using profanity if you were jerked around like this? Just remember, don't raise your voice and don't use profanity or you will go to the bottom of the list. The funny thing is I still owe these people the final payment, the check was made out and has been sitting on my desk since December the 9th, I guess they are so busy and successful they don't want to complete my contract and pick up their final payment. If you have nothing better to do and love to fight then by all means do business with NewSouth, but if you are out in the world trying to make it on your own then steer clear of these people because their deplorable customer services will suck you dry and take days out of your schedule that you will never get back or be compensated for. I own my own small business and my life blood is customer service. I would be out of business if I treated just one customer as I have been treated. My business is a member in good standing with the BBB. Their complaint page is my next stop after I post this.

process took about 1 week to complete took about 8-12 weeks for the factory to build the windows. they pulled the proper permits they removed the old sliders and took them away they installed the new casings and scheduled the home inspector, after passing inspection they completed the installation of the sliding doors. they framed out all three sliding doors since one of them required framing but the others did not, but so they matched they framed all three.

Cautious now of dealing with this company.

There estimate was more than the others, but the quality of the windows was way above the other windows we looked at. They came to install the windows when they said, and cleaned up there mess after. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

They are wonderful. They are meticulous and provide superb quality. They are very customer oriented. I would definitely recommend them.

NewSouth Windows was a pleasure to work with! They came out to my house to measure all the windows and brought samples to explain how their windows work. And I love the fact that the windows are made locally at their factory in Tampa, FL. The installation exceeded my expectations! They were very quick, clean, and pleasant. Once they were done I couldn't tell anyone had been in my house - except the gorgeous new windows! My energy bill has gone down significantly and they block so much noise from the outside. I love my new windows! I would highly recommend NewSouth Windows!

From time of purchase to final installation took more than a month. Installers did a good job, even going back and correcting mistakes, along with making adjustments such as leveling entry ways so the product fit and operated properly. The installers were very unprofessional when scheduling arrival times for continuing the installation, never arriving when they said they would, and leaving at times before an installation was complete. I might mention that the installers are outside contractors and are not employees of New South Windows. My chief complaint is New South Windows keeping their promises of lifetime guarantee of their product., and their customer service after the sale is terrible and basically non-existent. Without getting into too much detail, one of the patio doors had a seal failure which caused the glass to steam up between panes when the outside and inside temperatures differed, especially when the humidity outside was high. I began calling New South in November, 2014 about the problem, and as of the date of this review, still cannot get a proper response from New South Windows. Most often when called, the receptionists, or person answering the phone will tell you that Customer Service is not at their desk and will put you on hold while they page or try to locate him. Then you receive the story that he is either in a meeting or with a customer and will return your call as soon as possible. That never happens. Repeatedly I have had to call them back and repeatedly get the same song and dance. On a few occasions I was able to talk to the Customer Service representative, who, by the way, is the CEO's son, and got excuses and lame reasons for nothing being done about my door. I have had no communications with them since early August 2015, but I am far from being through with them. If they continue their "games" I will submit a complaint to the Better Business Bureau to go along with the 50 or more complaints already on file against New South Windows.

Still waiting for widows, but in all Fairness they have unstill mid August. If they are not here in August I'll Flip out.

I contacted NewSouth Window Solutions. They did indicate that sales exceeded capacity but allowed me to cancel my contract without penalty. For handling the cancellation fairly and professionally I commend the company. Several months later I got a call from one of the VPs trying to reconcile open orders with their master plan. He wanted to confirm my cancellation and advise me of changes that have occurred at the plant. It seems they are trying but I can't recommend them at this time because I don't know if anything has changed regarding the building time for windows and scheduling of installations.

Word of mouth from friends started my window replacement journey. In Florida, window choice is a huge decision and a must for energy efficiency and reducing the electric bill. I made it a point to go to the Tampa, FL convention center annual home show which New South was going to be one of the vendors at the show. I initiated an estimate appointment to replace 8 windows which are half of the total for our home and we prioritized the bedrooms and master suite. We also chose to have new south remove the old windows and install the new 3 pane argon windows. Most windows are 2 pane - New South are 3 pane and you can open the widows top to bottom, bottom to top, and side to side according to what works best for the replacement. They are tinted which you observe from the outside of the house; although when inside the house the view is spectacular- you have tinted windows without the darkening of the room. New South did an awesome job educating my husband and I on the options that would not break the bank; what could work for us- and provide us what our goal was- to reduce energy loss from leaky inefficient windows. It took approximately 3 weeks to have the windows made and delivered. They are a Florida based business which made it even better for me; I try to support local businesses. They removed and replaced with very efficient and experienced professionals who knew what they were doing which is 50% of taking the worry out of the hiring a company to work on your home. Results- we are very happy after an entire year with our new windows. We have lowered our electric costs related to cooling our home. We also took advantage of a tax incentive for window replacement. The windows are also very easy to clean outside annually. We will eventually complete the remaining windows in our next remodeling phase. We have 3 sliding

He was pleased with their service, their demeanor, and cost factors. He is deceased now, so I cannot get any more information from him.

They were extremely professional and attentive. Kept us informed of when our custom windows would be ready. They work great and have made our home look nicer. The savings on electric has been amazing as well. The craftsmanship is fantastic and I would recommend them and have recommended them to others. I was referred by a friend and am thankful for that referral. We could not be happier with our windows and sliding doors and receive compliments constantly from our family and friends.

It was a nightmare There is not room enough here to explain and we do not want to relive it. DO call anyone else. Don't fall for their sales pitch. They are a well run sales organization but a horrible manufacturer and service provider. Run away! We still have unresolved problems but cannot bear to engage with them for any reason. Run away!

The first set of windows I replaced faced the west and was in the "hottest" side of the house. Two things we instantly noticed was the noise level dropped significantly. The second was the heat was reduced inside the two rooms facing the west so much I thought we had turned the AC down in those rooms. We have a programmable thermostat it was on the same settings. We are saving about $30 a month in the hot season. I thought this was a sales pitch during the demonstration, it is reality - we really are saving money on our utility bills. One thing we didn't prepare for was there was a bit more dust than we anticipated and I wished we had put sheets over the furniture which would have made the cleanup easier- consequently we did that on the second set of windows and it was much easier. Neat part of doing the house in "sections" is the installer shows up takes the old windows out - cleans up the area then installs all on the same day. I have a stucco home and was worried about needing paint and patch - no need. When the job was done everything looked like they hadn't been there - no need for paint touch up. This was a significant investment for our household and I was concerned about getting ripped off - I had heard some nasty stories. These guys did the job right not once but twice. I have recommended them to my neighbors too. I will let them have my business a third time too.

Went ok.......work was done on time and as scheduled, but the price is astronomical and not worth the money we paid for them. And these are NOT impact resistant or it probably would have been double the price. You are better off going to Lowe's or Home Depot and get their best windows for a lot less money. This place is a big rip off ! Sorry we used them. But, lesson learned..........the hard and expensive way.

I don't usually do reviews but after getting new windows from New South I felt the need. I was very nervous after reading through the reviews on Angie's List on this company and I spoke with the sales rep Phil in great detail about our concerns and he was able to ease our concerns enough to move forward. We met with the Phil in November and got our quote. The price was a bit higher than some others but in the ball park. The quality of the windows and warranty is what really sold us. We plan on keeping this house for a long time so we want quality windows that are going to last. Phil told us that the windows would not be ready to install until February but this was not a problem for us. Come February we got a call from the office saying that our windows were ready. They were installed a week later on a date that worked for us. The install went well and the windows look and function beautifully. The inspection happened about a month later (based on our schedule). I would not hesitate to recommend New South Windows to anyone. I think what ever issues they have had in the past have been resolved or at least improving and our experience was very positive. We plan to use them again for additional window replacements in the future.

We signed the contract on Jan. 11,2015 and they were installed on Feb. 04,2015. Fantastic job on the install. It only took them around four hours for the job.Look great and they cleaned up everything.

We had no issue working with the company. The installation was very efficient, done completely, on time with little interruption and quite clean. The county building inspector was impressed by the quality of the fit and the sealing of the casements. After several months, we can report that the windows have greatly improved outside noise blocking, thermal variance and all installed windows and doors remain properly fit.

I would never recommend them to anyone in the world. They're a horrible company. I would never recommend them to anybody in the world. They installed my windows in December, 2013. In April, 2014, I called them to tell them that the windows were steaming. It took me 37 calls later to get someone out here. They would always say someone would call me back. They had replaced three windows on the north side of the house, which all then steamed up. They said the windows steam up because they're on the north side of the house. They are four windows on the north side of the home, and the three they did are the only ones that steam up. They then said the windows probably steamed up because of my sprinkler system, which gets used once a week, and the windows steam up six or seven times a week. They then said my bushes, which are close to the windows. They said the moisture from the bushes were spreading to the windows. They then said the attic vents are so hot that they're steaming up the windows. They then told me to keep my windows open. They then said to screen them. The end result is that they aren't going to do anything about it - nothing.

One of the windows were incorrectly ordered with measurements. Took a while to get it right.

Our house was a bit of challenge and their was a confusion about parts of the code as related to building permitting which caused a delay.My only wish is that when NewSouth saw this job was taking more than one day, perhaps they should have added a third person to the job to expedite the installation. But in the end, LOVE the product, love the customer service, and if I had to I would definitely purchase from this company again!

We waited several months for installation, as the company was quite busy. That did not bother us, as we were told up front. They were installed in February by, we were told, their best installer. The windows did cut down tremendously on the heat. After a time we noticed that there was a problem locking the windows. They had forgotten (?) to request the inspection up to then, so I called and inquired if they could rectify our problem, then schedule the inspection. After making a number of new holes in the frames, the windows locked. I was told the inspection was scheduled. No one showed. It was rescheduled. No one showed. I finally called the county, and they notified me that this company had not kept up their license in this county. I brought it to New South's attention. Finally, the inspector appeared, took a look at the first window, and told me he would not finish the inspection. There were issues with holes with no screws, and the screws were put in and quot;very sloppilyand quot;, some at an angle, some not through the frame. After 3 tries, the windows finally passed inspection. I was told someone would be here at 11am today to replace the caps. It is now 1:15pm and no one has shown up. The company doesn't seem to be sure who was supposed to be here. They will call me back when someone returns from lunch and figures it out. Par for the course. No one seems to really know what is going on. The windows themselves are good quality, but the business is very poorly run!

I signed the contract and paid the down payment and no one has showed up to do the work. I have called and talked to the secretary and each time she tells me some one will call me back but no one has yet.
