Larsen Pools was great to work with. From the initial sales call with Joe to the pre-construction work with Jeremy and the actual construction with Bob, we felt like we could always call and get a response from their team. The sub contractors were friendly and knowledgable. The travertine work was excellent with the exception of having to ask 2 or 3 times to level some of the tile that were different elevations. They did level all tile after we marked the one's we felt needed work with blue tape. We discussed a construction schedule of about 3 weeks and it took about 4 weeks but that was fine and the attention to our concerns and details far out weighed the extra week of time. We were really pleased with the overall process and the final result of the work.

Exceptionally well. Tim, the salesman was a pleasure to work with. When we went to pick out the tile, decking, etc. he was professional, polite and most of all personable. After the initial design, picking out of tile, etc we requested several changes. Tim, office staff, Jeremy the field supervisor, Bob and Eric the start up crew and all sub contractors had unbelievable patience with every change request. As a field supervisor, Jeremy, was extremely knowledgeable and an asset to us regarding upgrades we did make.. He was at our home almost as much as all the subs. Jeremy was always making sure we were pleased with the progress either in person or by phone. And all upgrades, warranty, and workmanship were more competitive and better quality than other pool companies. Unfortunately I had forgotten to cap off a couple sprinkler lines and there was water in some areas when the deck crew came to put lay the Travertine tile decking. A couple of the workers cut the PVC pipe, capped off the lines, and filled in the holes. I offered to help, but they would not let me lift a finger even though it was my fault they had to do the extra work. All subcontractors were the same throughout the project - courteous, polite, professional, and treated us like family as did the staff and sales personnel of Larsen's Pool & Spa and Eric Larsen owner/president of the company. I have and will continue to recommend Larson,s Pool and Spa to anyone needing services or new installation. We have had 4 homes with swimming pools installed, and this project was the best ever.

Overall Larsen's did a great job. The prep work alone was quite an undertaking as they had to cut my pool deck to replace the skimmer and plumbing lines. The plumbing that had to be replaced ran around the side of my house, so it was a lot of digging and it was done so well that you could hardly tell the trenches had be dug. The coping stones that were removed from the edge of the pool were extremely heavy and not easy to remove. There was also the issue of my pool deck being contoured for drainage, which made laying the pavers a challenge. They did a great job with the design and even built me some really cool benches that make the pool deck look great! I actually did not want the benches when they were proposed, but once they were in I was really glad. So Larsens' team definitely has the ability to envision what the area could look like to improve it. Additionally, the pool itself was re-surfaced and new tiles were installed at the water line. I had them install new jets and a third line for a pool cleaner and to allow for extra drainage if needed. All of this really improved and updated the pool nicely. There are 3 support posts in my pool deck area that I had them install foam pillars on. They look really good. There were a couple of items that I called them back for, such as some of the pavers needing replaced and the pool ladder showing brown spots. They came out right away and handled the concerns I had without any problems. My pool and deck are beautiful now and everything looks great! I highly recommend them for pool and deck rehab projects!

We had an excellent experience in the entire pool construction process as well as after the job was complete. Adam helped design the pool, Jeremy was our ever-present contractor, Bob serviced the pool immediately after construction, Rhonda took care of all the administrative paperwork, the owner, Eric, was also available to us. Every single person did an above average job! Adam was rapid with responses to questions and offered insightful advice on design aspects of our pool. Jeremy was at our house to supervise the ongoing construction. He was ALWAYS available, no matter how big or small the question. Rhonda was speedy and knowledgeable with the paperwork, on top of everything. Bob was so very helpful in introducing us to the ins and outs of our pool, showing up whenever we had a question, long after they completed our project. A year after the pool was complete, he came to our house to demonstrate something on our pool for us. This company will not leave you stranded. They keep you informed of the timeline, they are honest about issues along the way, they address issues immediately, and most importantly, they don't avoid you or delay the pool building process. We felt as if our pool was the only pool they were working on. Somebody else's pool delay did not delay our pool construction. We highly recommend Larsen's Pool and Spa!

Eric and his team were great. Jeremy, the construction manager, was responsive and constantly in contact. We had some permit troubles but Larsen's stayed in touch and helped us work through it. [approximate cost entered as $1.00]

Larsen's was rated the number one pool builder in Tampa Bay by Angie's List, which is where we searched for a builder. We contacted a few companies, but felt most comfortable with Larsen's from day one. Don't be shocked by the quote they give you, it will be about 10-15% higher than competing companies. But it's a guaranteed rate with no surprises and you get what you pay for. They were incredibly professional, use the same contractors for all of their pools so they have consistency and trust with those that work on your property, and they had the pool built 1 day before their quoted timeline. As expected, there were a couple hiccups along the way that could not have been foreseen, but Larsen's resolved the problems before closing out our contract. Couldn't be happier, and will use these guys again if we build a pool in a future home. As a side note, if you can request a project manager, request Jeremy. He put up with my anxiety during this process and is just as good at managing people as he is at managing the construction of your pool.

Let me start by saying that Larsen's was really the only company that actually came out and gave us an estimate. You might think we were crazy to take on an expensive remodeling job with just one bid - but we were so impressed with their promptness and overall professionalism - we just went with our guts (and lots of positive reviews on Angie's List). We can honestly say, we were not disappointed at all - in fact they exceeded our expectations. We first met with Joe who gave us ideas we never even imagined. We didn't want to go crazy with our remodel - honestly, it just needed resurfaced, new tile and since I hated the paver coping we were replacing that as well. When we asked Joe about removing our dated deep end steps and rail and replacing it will with a swim out - he said it was cost prohibitive. But...if we wanted to add a sun shelf - well that was doable. We had always wanted a sun-shelf. Then he said he could add a water feature with a bubbler - check, done! Another wish list item we thought wasn't possible. Joe gave us an estimate - and then Eric (the owner) came can checked out the job and the bid. He also provided some great ideas and insight. Sign us up! Bob was our foreman. I can't go on enough about how amazing Bob was - and the entire crew. John did a beautiful job on our tile and our new travertine coping. Everyday, we had a visit from Bob. The best part was EVERY time I called Bob - he picked up the phone! I have done lots of remodeling projects - no one ALWAYS picks up the phone. That made a lasting impression on us. Did we have some issues along the way - sure, that's part of remodeling. But the big difference in being delighted vs. being disappointed is how the problems are handled. Every issue we had - Bob was one top of it. He personally promised to take care of every issue and he did! When our 13 year old heater went out - I called Bob. He gave us a competitive price and had the new heater installed in days. He even made a special visit because he knew we were having a party and wanted to make sure we were up and running. Who does that these days? We have learned that price shopping isn't always the best way to choose a professional and based on other research, I felt Larsen's was very competitively priced. Larsen's did a fantastic job - and I highly recommend them for any new pools, remodeling or other pool needs you might have. When Larsen's says we have a lifetime guarantee, I believe them and I am so happy we chose them to give us a beautiful, updated pool with all of our wish list items!

We first met with Eric Larsen a few years back when we started our planning our project. I cannot express what a pleasure it was to work with Eric and his entire team. Eric was so energetic, very knowledgeable he helped us put into place the design we wanted, guided us on what we could do within our boundaries and helped us maximize the space we had to work with. We had some unforeseen delays on our part so when we shelved the project for a while and called Eric back he was still as energetic and extremely patient when we decided to change up the entire design and add an outdoor living space and had to redesign our pool. Once again Eric was extremely professional, clearly customer service was and is his number 1 priority, he guienely cared about our thoughts, any concerns we had and most importantly he treated our pool project as though it was his making adjustments as we went so the finished project was more than we could have imagined and as beautifully breathtaking as it could be. Once we signed the contract with Eric our Project Manager was Jeremy Jolly I cannot express how important Jeremy was to me during the whole process. He explained every step in detail, what the processes where and what we where to expect. Jeremy was always available to me to answer any questions, ease any type of concerns we had during the construction phase which was overwhelming to us but he was extremely patient, professional and I always felt I was Jeremy’s number 1 priority and he ensured we where satisfied and happy every step of the way. He worked along side another contractor who we had hired to build our outdoor kitchen and while we had issues on that side Jeremy never lost his professionalism or smile he continued to work ensuring his portion of the project was finished within the timeline we had asked. Again like Eric he made some adjustments along the way when he wasn’t happy with something to ensure a flawless design and a beautiful pool. His people that where on site during construction where respectful and very polite. Jeremy was such a huge part of this project and I would have been completely lost without him guiding me through the whole process. Once Jeremy’s role was complete I was assigned my Maintence Manager Bob Cox he was such a delight and extremely patient while I learned the controls of the pool. Once again like Eric and Jeremy he ensured everything was perfect we made some changes and additions towards the end and it was always done with a smile. Again I cannot express what a pleasure it was working with them all. I know for a fact even though my project is complete should anything arise I can call anyone with Larsen's and they will address whatever it may be. I cannot express how important hiring the right people for the job. It can be a very stressful process but when you have the right people in place it makes it so much better and easier and I would highly highly recommend Larsen’s Pool & Spa you will be their priority.

All people that I had contact with from the owner to the salesman, the project manager to the installation crew were all professional, friendly and knowledgable. They kept me up to date on their progress and met the timeline promised. My newly remodeled pool is beautiful!

The folks at Larsen's did a great job overall. They showed up when they said they would (which is rare these days), did high quality work and closed out with a complete inspection and a month's worth of pool service/inspection. We're really enjoying the new pool finish, and highly recommend the company - which we would recommend and use again without any reservations.

He made it easy for us, price, workmanship, warranty! Even with warranty repairs he has been amazing and responsive, all 8s sued handled to our complete satisfaction!

Promised up plans and pricing. Did not hear back for a few weeks, which he told us he was a few weeks out so we were not surprised. After not hearing anything for a month, I reached back out to him and he said he was working on it, hadn't forgotten about us, so we waited a few more weeks. Towards the end of November, I reminded him that we were deciding on a company and signing a contract in December. He said he had health issues and was now back at work. He would definitely have things to us before we decided. He was still emailing long excuses to us right up to the time we made our decision to go with another company. If he spent that effort on the proposal, we would have been very happy.

We're looking to fix up a sorely neglected pool in our soon to be new house and have a variety of small jobs that need to be done. Although the scope of our project was outside of Eric Larsen's usually portfolio he took the time to call me back and talk through our needs and suggest his contractors that might be able to help. He was extremely friendly and helpful and when the time comes to resurface our pool and redo our decking and tile we will be calling Eric Larsen!

Before we started the pool construction we got quotes from 3-4 companies. Larsen's Pool and Spa was able to give us all the upgrades we wanted within our budget. Adam was our sales person, he interpreted our requirements very well and was able to put a great design together. He gave us both 2D drawings and 3D renderings which was essential to visualizing how the final product would be. Once construction started their site supervisor Jeremy was always on site. I inspected all the major phases of the construction very closely myself, and every time I had a question I could count on Jeremy getting back to me within a few minutes of me sending a text. Jeremy would always stop by on our request to visually inspect certain things together. All the subcontractors they used were very professional. As with any big construction project there were things we wanted to change as things progressed and they were very accommodating. Once the construction was completed Bob and the service guys took care of it the new pool and space for a month. At the end of it he did a thorough workaround on how to clean and take care of the pool and maintain proper water chemistry. Larsens Pool & Spa did a great job on our new pool construction and would not hesitate to reccomend them!

Eric Larsen along with his crew worked together keeping us updated and informed before, during and upon completion of the remodeling of our pool and spa. Their work is not only beautiful but of utmost quality.

After speaking to several pool installers, my wife and I called Larsen's Pool and Spa, primarily because of the positive reviews posted on Angie's List. Unlike several of the other contractors, they were very responsive. The house where the pool was installed is located in Riverview, Florida, but we live in Philadelphia. Therefore, most of the construction was done while we were away. This added an additional layer of apprehension on our part. Turns out that the apprehension was unwarranted. From the initial meeting with the salesperson, who designed the pool, to the person who walked me through the various operations of the equipment, every single individual from Larsen's was not only very professional and competent, but also extremely friendly and personable. My wife and I even received a call from the owner, just before construction began, to thank us for the business and to insure us that everything would turn out fine. Even though we were a thousand miles away, we were kept abreast of all developments. The pool was finished in the time frame promised and it looks great!! If you're looking for a reliable, competent, friendly, professional pool installer, Larsen's Pool & Spa is the company to use!!

Making an appt. for an estimate was easy and Joe showed up promptly. He explained that he has had many years of experience in the pool renovation field. His company uses Pebble Tec products which carry a lifetime warranty. However, we were not impressed when he suggested he could simply remove the loose tiles and put new tiles over top of the old tiles in the rest of the pool. We have many tiles falling off of our 30 year old pool and we had explained that we have little oak branches working their way through the grout in the tiles. Perhaps he was just trying to save us money but we insisted that all the old tiles should be removed before installing new ones and this estimate indicates that. He gave us a good tip that we should contact city hall to see if we could get a discount on our water/sewer bill when we fill the pool. We appreciate that and other advice he gave us. His company would also clean and brush the pool for a month following installation which many of the other companies are unwilling to do. The reasons we did not choose Larsen's Pools are:(1) because we wanted to refinish not only the pool but also the deck around the pool and the floor of the attached lanai and fix the problem where roots had raised one end of the pool deck. Larsen's Pool & Spa recommended that we contact another company for an estimate for all that extra that work. After obtaining estimates from several other companies who bid the entire project, we decided to choose one of them as we did not want the responsibility of coordinating the various contractors on this large project. (2) Joe Fleming's estimate also was rather high in comparison for the pool part of the job.

Larsen's pool built a gorgeous pool and spa with a paver deck and screen enclosure. From beginning to end, we dealt with courteous, knowledgeable and a very professional staff. Our designer Joe did an excellent job designing our dream pool. He made corrections as needed and guided us through the decision process for all the materials used. Their estimate was comparable to other pool companies but Larsen's materials were of higher quality with travertine stone as a standard versus other companies which offered it as an upgrade. Our construction manager Jeremy, was always promptly available via phone, text, email or in person. Jeremy kept us informed and supervised all of the details for our pool construction. All of the construction crews were also very knowledgeable, polite and professional. Carlos' crew had the difficult job of tiling a massive retaining wall, the pool and spa, all done beautifully! Creating our pool paradise was a challenge due to the size and slope of the yard. Larsen's staff took on the challenge and we now have an amazing contemporary pool ideal for entertaining family and friends. We highly recommend Larsen's Pool and Spa and would definitely call them back for any future pool project!

I interviewed four vendors for this project. All of them were from Angie's List. I picked Larsen's because I felt that they were honest and realistic with their quote. The gentleman they sent out had 41 years industry experience and walked me through the renovation process. Other companies, although coming in cheaper, had 1-2 guys who tried to do it all. They did the sales calls, they did the work, they did the billing, they did the scheduling - this means you are in an infinite voice mail-call back-never gettting anywhere LOOP! Larsen's was realistic when explaining timing to me. I also had a very very very tight budget of 15,000. When it came down to it, I had to let some of my "wish list" go - they helped me prioritize what was most important and what could potentially wait 3-5 years to do. They started on time and kept me up to date with progress. I can't say enough great things about Bob, the gentleman who did the bulk of the work. He repaired the crack, removed an outdated skimmer and replaced it with a newer one, and got my pool ready for tile/pebblesheen. One outstanding thing: Removing the outdated skimmer was MUCH MORE INVOLVED than anyone anticipated. It took more days more hours, more people than Larsen's thought it would. Most companies would have come back and asked for more money or tried to revise their estimate. NOT THESE GUYS. They stuck by their original estimate. My pool looks amazing. I feel like I'm in paradise. We have done 3 pools while in Tampa Bay, and these guys are the BEST!

They were prompt, courteous, professional and cleaned everything after they were finished. The final result is truly magnificent and we could not be happier! Great job!

Larsens was great. They lived up to their top billing on Angie's list. I waited a few months to write the review to "test drive" the pool and I can tell you, you get what you pay for. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the results and the service. The pool looks brand new. Beyond our expectations. Having been in the pool business 35 years ago - and after getting estimates on this job from 4 other local companies - I can tell you Larsens is the only way to go. The crews that repaired the concrete for new application were meticulous in laying the right foundation. Kudos to Bob Cox who went above and beyond what I think any other company would have done on a critical part of the job no customer would ever notice. The application crew that applied the new PebbleTech coating was amazing to watch - almost 15 people working in complete unison to produce a beautiful result. Orlando, the tile guy was a true craftsman, or should I say artisan. Request him; just a phenomenal job on a complex re-tile. Special thanks to Dave Larsen and (again) Bob Cox who oversaw all the work and workers. Great follow-through. I am not one to bother writing reviews. I have to be really impressed to do so. Don't even bother shopping around - I did that for you and I know the business. If you do, you will get lower estimates; but remember the price shopper is the lawful prey of the price seller.
