Larsen's Pool & Spa LLC

Very responsive to my request for an estimate and worked with me on scheduling as this began in and around the Thanksgiving holiday. Joe was very professional and accommodating in our meeting. My spouse and I elected to redirect the funds for this project inside our home, so this project will be on hold for a bit. Will definitely be back to Larsen's for a new estimate when are financially prepared to revisit this project in a couple of years. Regardless, we would recommend Larsen's to anyone consider a project of this sort as our experience with them was top-notch.

The entire experience from start to finish was excellent. I was concerned about going through the process of constructing a pool because of all the problems that can arise. I did a lot of research looking for pool companies in the Tampa area. I went with Larsen's because of their rave reviews. I was not disappointed! The process from start to finish was seamless. Joe helped design our pool and Dan was our project manager. They were both completely professional to work with and the entire process exceeded our expectations! I would highly recommend them.

Beautiful pool and spa, could not be happier! Joe designed the perfect pool for our yard and personalized it based on our vision. Jeremy (project manager) was extremely responsive to our questions and needs. He made the process enjoyable and stress free. All of the commit dates were met on time even throughout the rainy season. Justin helped us prep the pool prior to hurricane Irma and also came out after the storm to ensure everything was operating smoothly. The whole team made it happen no matter what obstacles were in the way, even going above and beyond. We felt comfortable and confident from start to finish. Thank you Larsen's for making our pool dreams come true!

They were finally done with it by June. It’s holds 20,000 gallons of water. There were some challenges along the way, but they stepped up and did everything they were supposed to. Maybe the cost was a little bit higher, but I’m not sure though. At first the responsiveness wasn’t great. We had some challenges early on when we first started the process and it took longer than we expected. We started the process in November of last year, we signed the original contract. He got the holidays to come in, so we understood that. They were supposed to dig a little bit sooner then what they did. We were probably 2 or 3 weeks behind on the actually digging of the hole for the pool. It wasn’t necessarily them per say, obviously they are the final ones and they have to answer to us. It was their contractors that they used. They were somewhat slow up front. They used a sub-contractor for the rock wall we put in, it was really slow. Even with all of that, as we got into March/April timeframe, they were pretty preceptive after a while. It was just some pains up front for the first 2 or 3 months, it was a little painful. We didn’t get as much communication as we would have liked. The communication was not as proactive as we would have liked, but they were responsive. I just would have liked a little more proactive communication. Responsiveness is fine, they just weren’t proactive up front because they were really busy. They did explain all of that. At the end of the day they did everything they were supposed to do. The quality of the built is excellent, I believe. The people who worked for Larsen’s were really good to work with from the salesman all the way to Jeremy, the super. The supervisor who oversaw the entire project was very responsive, very receptive, he would take the feedback to Eric Larsen as well. Send him emails, get him on the phone periodically when they needed to. Very responsive and receptive there. They are very genuine people to work with. I think their biggest problems was their sub-contractors, but after a while they got that straightened out. If I separate Larsen’s from the sub-contractors I would give Larsen’s “A’s” across the board, but I guess the sub-contractors falls onto Larsen’s. They were responsive when we did have a problem or something wasn’t right with a sub-contractor. If you call someone at Larsen’s it would get taken care of right away. They communicated better as the process went along. I can understand that people get busy, but it’s just a matter of communication. Sometimes the sub-contractors wouldn’t show up. They were supposed to be here and then they weren’t. Then we had to call Larsen’s and they weren’t aware. Some of the sub-contractors just didn’t do a good job of communicating period, weather it was us or Larsen’s. They were great to work with. Overall, I enjoyed working with Larsen’s. Again, I’m just being honest, there were some challenges along the way. I will say that Larsen’s stepped up and really took care of us and made sure that everything was great. I would recommend them highly. I would definitely use them again. They come highly recommended and I can see why. The quality of work is excellent. No complaints about what they built out there. It is beautiful.

My new pool looks fantastic. Thanks to Eric Larsen, Joe Fleming, and Jeremy Jolly for always being on time and working with us when we had a problem. It's nice to know there are still people in this world that want to do a good job and have a great finished product. I would gladly send anyone looking to install a new pool to Larsen's Pool & Spa. Excellent job! We are completely satisfied with our new pool and spa. The employees were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Once they broke ground, there was continuous progress from beginning to end. Completely happy with our choice to go with Larsen's Pool & Spa.

I was contacted by the owner to discuss and he would not move forward with a quote unless we had secured financing. That was odd as other builders I contacted had not asked about that. We did have financing though so he was happy to forward my information to a sales person. I had a neighbor contact them as well and he would not even talk to her since she did not have financing in place. Tom contacted me and we set a date and time for him to come out. Again he asked me about financing as well, which I think is overkill when I was already asked. Tom called me at the start of our scheduled appt to say he was hung up at another one and could he come later. The time he proposed did not work for me as I had rearranged my schedule for the appt. He said he would call back to reschedule a different day and I have never heard from him again. We are moving forward with another builder. They may do good work but upfront customer service does not appear to be a priority and with the amount of money I am spending I don't feel I need to beg to do business with someone.

Terrible. The representative, Tom, refused to come out and do an estimate until financing is secured. How exactly are you supposed to know how much to finance then? So I asked him via email. After two exchanges, this guy wrote me, no joke, a 1,759 word email about him drinking coffee and how he won't do an estimate without financing because of a bad experience he had with a sheriff's deputy that had a $275k house. They actually want to start charging potential customers for an estimate. Listen, they may install a beautiful pool, I don't know and will never know because they have this attitude that we're all poor losers who just waste their time.

Not well at all. Owner called me to clarify the scope of my project, and when I mentioned I was pursuing some of the exact services they advertise (and not construction of a new pool as he was apparently told by his receptionist - which is not what I had told her), I was met with a very cold reply. The owner didn't seem at all interested in trying to earn my business for a remodel, only for construction of a new pool. This would be fine... if they didn't advertise remodeling services. But they do, so to be met with someone so clearly disinterested in pursuing their advertised line of business was strange and quite off-putting.

Not knowing what Larsen's scope of work was, I had called them on a Friday afternoon about some deck drainage issues I was concerned about. The person who answered my call was not sure if it was something that the company handled, but offered to run it by Eric Larsen, the owner, and see what his thoughts were. He promptly called me back on the,following Monday to inquire about my situation and offer some advice. Even though he knew it was not something his company serviced directly, he was able to enthusiastically offer some great advice. He quickly identified my particular deck drainage system, and was able to identify just what the most likely issues were. A heavy rainstorm a few hours later verified his analysis (without ever having showed up on the property, mind you), and opened my eyes to the solution he had suggested - something I could do myself without having to engage a contractor. He was friendly. patient, engaging and exquisitely helpful, even in the face of knowing this was not a lead he could act on. If he and his company are responsible enough to guide me through a dilemma for which they won't earn a job (for now), then I can just imagine they would be that much better when they have skin in the game. Give Eric Larsen and his team an extra star from me,...if and when I need some genuine pool replacement or rehab, they will be at the top of the list. KUDOS!!!

The company responded to me right away. Unlike other companies who do not respond when they are not interested in the job, this company promptly contacted me and explained what they do and that they could not do the work I wanted done. The whole exchange with them was courteous and professional. They actually were helpful in the matter and I appreciated the fact they still treated me as a valued customer.

Dan Myer did a great job as the overall project manager. We were extremely pleased with the work that Orlando Welter did installing the pavers and tile. Bob Cox did an outstanding job installing the pool equipment and training us on how to maintain our new salt system. Dave Larsen and his company were professional, reliable and finished the project on schedule. We would strongly recommend Larsen's to anyone.

From the time of initial sod removal, I began to have confidence in this company. Brent came in his air-conditioned skid steer and removed the top layer of soil to facilitate layout. Soon after that Bob and his layout team arrived and set up the elevation perfectly, as well as the exact dimensions we contracted for, and was done in short order. The dig and concrete placement was flawless, even down to sinking several well points around the dig to ensure that ground water would not fill the hole, or cause the shell to lift. (yes, it can happen). The tile surround and travertine cap stones are dead level. Then when the pebble-tec was installed, a team of certified experts came to do the job, (which was perfect), and created our finished product. To top it off, Bob, (another Bob) a knowledgable pool chemistry specialist started our salt pool with perfection, resulting in just the right salinity from the start, then followed up a week later to assure things were running properly. Jeremy Jolly was our site manager, and I can't say enough about his integrity, in following up on each commitment made. I have had four in ground concrete pools, and can say unequivocally that this is the best yet.

Quality is the best! My pool, pavers, and backyard oasis is the best in the neighborhood. Don't try to save a nickel by going somewhere else. These people are pros and the outcome is excellent.

Excellent , overall we were impressed with their service. Washington did an outstanding job! While their prices are a little higher than others, the service and piece of mind is well worth it.

From top to bottom, Larsen is a class act. Pool renovation included construction of a new water feature, interior finish, tile replacement, and new coping. The workmanship at every phase was perfection. Larsen was extremely helpful, timely, and willing to work with me when unanticipated issues arose. Once the work began, there was never a day when someone was not on site working. Larsen truly exceeded all expectations and I would highly recommend them for your pool renovation.

This company was excellent from start to finish. They actually did more work than I expected by reworking my pool cleaner intake (and made it much better), and adding a hose connection to my setup. The quality of their work and their attention to detail was excellent and much appreciated. They were very responsive to me whenever I needed to communicate with them. The final price was exactly as quoted. After the pool was finished, they serviced the pool for a month.

I HAD MY INITAL MEETING WITH JOE WHO WAS VERY NICE AND INFORMATIVE. I CALLED A FEW DAYS LATER TO SET UP A TIME TO SEE SHOW ROOM AND FINALIZE POOL DEAL. HE NEVER CALLED BACK. I HAVE CALLED HIM THREE TIMES AND LEFT MULTIPLE EMAILS AND NO RESPONSE. I ALSO CALLED RECEPTIONIST AT LARSONS TO SET UP A MEETING AND SHE SAID THAT SHE COULDN'T BECAUSE JOE SCHEDULES HIS OWN MEETINGS. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

They were too expensive for what I wanted to do. They were upfront and said that it was going to be expensive before they did it. Their responsiveness was very good.

Other then the delay we had during the summer it went great and ahead of schedule Jeremy ran the job and him and his sub contractors were great to work with and did top notch work bob was also great as he took care of our pool while we were away and took the time to show us how everything worked great people to work with!

They did a drawing. The drawings were very nice. They really did a good job on the drawings. Their accents were very detailed.

They helped with designing the pool.

After purchasing a vacation home in Dunedin Fl, I set out to hire a pool contractor to help me design and plan out our future in-ground pool and decking..Sounds easy enough right? We didn't know anyone in the area so i called a couple places, met with a couple companies and both preceded to tell us that the yard was too difficult ( too small ) for them to take on and they done lots of work in our area and that this town would NEVER let us build a pool in the yard we had !! YIKES, It never occurred to us when we bought the property that this could/would be a problem ( who doesn't have a pool n Florida ? ). We were ready to give up and i decided to call one more place, it just so happened to be LARSEN POOL AND SPA. It was the best decision i could have made..! The owner himself, Eric, came over to the house to take a look and he did agree that the yard would be a little challenge but he said " let me go talk to the town hall and see what they think about it".. He took his own time and went to the town for me with a sketched out drawing, a copy of the plot plan and an idea of what we were hoping to construct and i know he made a couple trips to !! Long story short we got a beautiful pool now with surrounding decking that looks awesome…WE ARE VERY SATISFIED Eric is very personable and knowledgeable guy. He was always accessible the whole time during construction.. He answered every call and questions we had And being out of the State on top of it all i never once felt uncomfortable with Larsen Pool. They stayed exactly on Budget and was done on schedule as well… i just can't say enough good things about the experience we had with Eric and his company and the finished product !!!!!! I would highly Recommend Larsen Pool and Spa…. 5 Stars !

It didn't go beyond the estimate, which wasn't completed with the items discussed. I discussed with the rep what was needed - resurface the pool, replace the tile, and install an LED light. The survey was completed 04 February, but I had to contact Tim on the 14th to inquire why I hadn't received the estimate yet. When I received the estimate on the 18th, the price seemed ok given the good grades and reviews on this site. Upon looking further, Tim never included the cost of the tile. I asked him via email whether it was included in the price, or if he forgot to add it. He said he forgot, and asked if I'd like him to update the estimate. I responded that I did, since that was the original discussion he had regarding the requested work. I never heard another response from him. That's not a good way to garner business, if you aren't going to respond to prospective clients. Needless to say, I went with someone else.

Go with Eric and his team and you won't be disappointed. They all are very professional and go out of their way to make sure you are completely happy. And I found Eric's price to be on par with the competition; but his customer service is way above. I thought Eric's designs to also be more on the cutting edge than the other pool builders we got quotes from.
