+ 1 moreKelvin arrived on time, put on plastic shoes before entering home, made a list of everything we needed to be done, wrote up a price list and went over it with us before starting any work. When we agreed to the work, he started immediately. Everything was done professionally without any problems. He was very conscientious about cleaning up the work area and would not let me help in any way. He was pleasant to talk to as he worked. He had to go out and purchase a new vent fan for the bathroom and was back quickly. I would definitely recommend him to others. We need to have a few more electrical jobs done, and will request to have Kelvin back to finish these jobs.
Description of Work: Installed 2 ceiling fans, installed bathroom fixture, replaced burnt out vent fan in bathroom, hardwired cooktop, checked out lamppost.

Description of Work: Lonnie came out right on time and did a fantastic job! My house had a lot of outlets, including the lanai and courtyard. The majority of the made no sense as to which switch operated what. Lonnie also changed the home inspection concern of a double tapped breaker to two separate ones.mmi am planing on using Hoffman/Lonnie in the future for elective services. Thank you!

+ -1 moreDid it all in one day, although it was a very long day for them, both guys did an excellent job. Arrived a bit earlier than expected but that was fine, they were able to get started sooner. Luckily it was not a very sunny day so having the power off all day was not as bad as I expected, and they did have a temp electric supply if I needed it for anything like running a microwave or recharging any electronic equipment. I would absolutely call them if I ever need electrical work done again, I am extremely pleased with their knowledge and professionalism. I would absolutely recommend them.
Description of Work: Replaced main breaker box, added whole house surge protection, replaced main box outside where power turned off for entire house and replaced the numerous old boxes for my pool electronics with one box. Also cleaned up wiring in the attic. Fixed some small issues on my lanai.

He protected my floor with a tarp and cleaned-up once the job was completed. I am ecstatic with the results.

+ -1 moreFrom the beginning, the technician, Alan, was very professional and helpful. The client had a home health nurse visiting and Alan was very easy going and quickly offered to "finish some paper work" in his truck while we finished with the nurse. He was very gentle and listened to all the possible issues even when the client was a little confusing, always very polite and only deferred to me as a last resort. After looking through the condo, he gave us the written estimate and explained each item on it to the client. After approving the work, he quickly did what needed to be done and informed us after completing each task. Throughout the entire visit, he was very of aware of the client's issues with memory/confusion and was just very nice and took the time to make sure she felt comfortable with everything he was doing. I was incredibly impressed with the level of service he provided.

+ -1 moreIn a single word, OUTSTANDING! Can't say enough about Kelvin. He was everything you hope for in a technician you would ask into your home. He was prompt, neat, courteous, VERY professional, excellent communications skills, sense of humor. I couldn't ask for more! He kept me informed about what he was doing the whole time, and ALWAYS had a smile in spite of working both in a hot attic and a dark crawlspace under the house. The job was done well, and, at the conclusion, Kelvin asked me to inspect his work and asked if I was satisfied with the cleanup. I will use Hoffman for all my future electrical needs and will specifically request Kelvin!

Description of Work: The provider gave me 30 minute call prior to appointment as request. Very good. The provider arrives in what looks like a brand new truck with Hoffman Electrical on it. I met the provider and showed him the work I had done removing electric outlet cover and telling him I found broken black wire and broken white wire. I also showed in the hot water heater and circuit breaker panel location and told him my plumber was here and metered the hot water heater for 120 volts. I gave provider a tour of the condo to show him where the other rooms were and tenant there informed provider of a problem with electrical outlet in bedroom. The provider then went into his brand new truck and wrote estimate for repairs. After about 10 - 15 minutes he showed me the estimate. Complete home inspection $399.99 to plug in meter into each outlet and read indicator lights. This price is ridiculous. I told the provider I can home inspection including electrical, plumbing, appliances, roof, HVAC, ect. for less than $400. Plugging is meter device into a dozen outlets takes about 15 minutes. Therefore, the provider would make $1200 per hour doing this inspection. Really? That's outrageous! Estimate continues: $115 to replace 3 receptacles withi alumicons and gave me $22 discount ?? $150 to replace a 30 amp breaker and de-ox all aluminum connections in panel $75 to replace a 30 amp breaker if needed

+ -1 moreI probably wont use them again. Their phone person was great. The guy that came on site was a total pro. He was on time and did clean work and was super fast. I have no doubt these guys can do anything you need. I would have nothing bad to say if the price wasn't as excessive as i feel it is. The website states a 15' run will cost $175. My run was farther than this, I'm not going to bother measuring by how much, but I don't live in a castle or anything crazy so it's not like we needed enough copper to put a dryer on the moon. I feel bad saying anything negative when the service was good, but as a new home owner trying to stretch a budget, this bummed me out. I don't feel the additional distance justified an extra 305 dollars of expense. I was given the price ahead of time and i agreed and the papers, so I can only whine so much. My advice is to get a quote over the phone and shop around.
Description of Work: Our house had an older 3 pronged dryer outlet and needed to be updated to a new 4 prong outlet, 220v 30 amp. The wiring had to be ran from breaker box to the laundry room.

+ 0 moreThey knew exactly what to do to fix the problem. He found the problem almost instantly. They then checked all of our electrical connections, and looked at our meter on the outside wall. They went above and beyond. Either the owner or a manager called back to make sure we were satisfied with the work.

+ -1 moreIt took them about 2-3 hours because it had to be put on the wall and the speakers installed. They programmed my dial so that I can use my xbox and connect to Netflix with my remote. They made everything easy. Franswa, their home theatre system specialist, is great! The cost was around $300-350 to install 2 TV’s. I feel their prices are very reasonable.
