They told us that, with the installation of the UV system, we got 1 service call for free. When I tried to take advantage of that, I was told the guy who told me that wasn't with the company anymore and they don't do that. The girl I talked with was rude and unprofessional. They told me on the phone that my appointment was sometime between 1-3, but the text they sent stated 1-4. It feels like they're so questionable that much of what they say is a falsehood? I feel like they disrespect me because I gave them business of installing the UV systems. They can rest assured I won't give them any more business and have told everyone not to use them.

Mrs. [Member Name Removed], Thank you for your purchase with our company. We are happy to respond to your review. You called in to our company for service, not emergency service. There is a service call fee associated with any AC visit from our company, the fee is normally $79.00 but with the membership that was gifted to you with your UV purchase, the service call fee is discounted to $67.15. This was discussed with you by our CSR or “little girl” as you referred to her, and she was simply stating our policy. You then spoke with our manager who explained to you that the details of the membership are listed on the invoice that you received when you purchased the UV systems. We do not typically receive any complaints regarding our CSR’s and their service, it is quite the opposite honestly. Additionally, you received a free service call once the technician arrived and was informed of your displeasure; therefore, we are confused by the unfavorable review. Thank you, Management Hoffman Electrical and AC

"Just pay us the $49 and we'll get out of there." The last words spoken from the electrical manager on the phone to me as I felt unsafe and confused why the professional electrician did not know how to help me. I paid the $49 for them to leave. I would advise you to not fall for their slogans and call someone else.

Good afternoon, We spoke to our Tech Richard as he left your Business, he already informed me of how you were acting, so I was pre warned before you wrote this review, he said the Conversation was good, in the beginning. Richard said he asked if you had the Electrical paperwork/information for the new "Yoga Village sign” in which you said no, our tech replied, I’ll get a ladder and go up there and get the information. He then asked you if there was anything else you were wanting an estimate for, you replied yes, in my shed and walked him there. At this time, he said you were nice, polite and calm, then he asked where is your attic access, so he could figure out how to get the power to the roof and make it look clean. This is where he said you yelled, " how am i supposed to know where it is" and this is why the estimate stopped, we can’t give a true Estimate if you can’t give access. At this point our tech collected the Service call fee and started to leave, at which you decided to tell the tech, “You can tell your business I plan on calling the credit card company to dispute the charges" instead of calling our company to discuss......??? I don't know if you just represent this business or are the owner. but we will be contacting them to complain about you and how you treated our employee, I bet this isn’t your first time doing so. You should also know as a representative of the business how one falsified Review could change how people view your business. I can only hope others reading this can understand our tech asking where the attic access is, is a normal question and that is what makes him a professional. Good luck to you Sir.

We do not prey on the Elderly and have never done work for you before; you’re replying because [Member Name Removed] told you to slam us on social media. Well guess what, we will not be strong armed into giving any money back, but you will be contacted by our attorney for slander. Answer this question.....If you owned a business, and it stated on the contract that you do not warranty drain Lines or drain line Cleaning, because you can’t guarantee the calcium deposits won’t break free and re clog the drain or a snake, frog or lizard, doesn’t crawl into the drain line end and clog it, would you? You would not because there are to many variables. I would say 95% of HVAC companies DO NOT WARRANTY DRAIN LINES! For this reason, especially ones install by others, yes we didnt install it! and it has been there for years. This is what we are dealing with here. We can’t guarantee it will not clog again so that’s why we do not warranty them. Thank you.

I just experienced some of the worst customer service ever. From the condescending manager Tom to the tech Steve that was literally on-site for 5 minutes. Where do I begin? It's simple really, I contacted Hoffman Electrical for assistance in locating the transformer to my doorbell. I had already been dealing with and troubleshooting this issue myself so when I contacted them I knew EXACTLY what services I would need. I explained to the young lady that took the phone call, Olivia I believe, in thorough detail how I've been working an issue with my doorbell and I already know what I need. I explained to her that I couldn't find my transformer in order to step-up the voltage to my Ring doorbell, so I needed a tech to come out and help me locate this transformer so we can fix the issue. I was then told by her "it would be $88 to dispatch a tech to come out and look at it. The tech would then tell me the price of the service and the dispatch fee would be waived if I elected their services." Now I'm not mad at that, what I am steaming about, is that in the 5 minutes the tech was here he gave me no new information or provided any kind of service. Matter of fact, the only spot he even "looked" happened to be a place I suggested. Asides from that, he was quickly calling home base so they could notify me that to troubleshoot my issue it would be $379. What?! I'm sorry you couldn't have just told me this over the phone?? Per the manager Tom "we are up front pricing. Did you look at our website?" Umm no sir I didnt. So if it is upfront pricing why when I went into so much detail, and took the time to explain to your office admin about my issue, why was I not told about the the $379...upfront??? Or why did the tech Steve mention "Sorry, about this, it's been the 4th call like this for me this week." It's Wednesday folks. At the end of the day, they had the opportunity to earn my business or keep it, how ever you want to look at it. But they opted not to. All they simply had to do was listen to my concerns and work something out with me. Instead I had a long and lengthy conversation with management who insistently kept repeating "We don't charge hourly we charge up front. $88 dollars is what we charge to come out". Everything management said was being put on me, the customer. A lot of expectations and assumptions regarding the pricing and services. It was assumed I understand their "upfront pricing" and I was expected to understand that all the tech would do is listen, to what I already gave in detail over the phone, in person....for $88. I'd do yourself a favor and find a company that understands the value of communication and great customer service, these guys are not them.

Regrettably we did not go forward. The website stated that the starting price was $75 for a pre-wired fan installation. A non-prewired was listed at starting from $125. In addition, the website says install 2 fans and get the third at half price. I had 4 installations and the quote was $764. That was $191 per installation. This was more expensive than Lowe's offered and I usually consider contracting through them as the high water mark. Nice enough technician, but he said that he has to charge what the book says and didn't know about the pricing on the website or the bulk discount. We were disappointed and turned the offer down. To the company's credit, they set up the appointment quickly and were on time, polite and professional.

Outlets were repaired. $342 for less than 30 minutes of work. On the plus side, the technician Kelvin was very nice.
Description of Work: We knew we had two outlets that needed replacement, but we were also interested in a whole house electrical inspection. Upon making the appointment we could not get them to provide an estimate for either of those two things on the phone, but it would be provided upon coming to the house, which would cost $88 just for driving to the house. Upon arrival, the technician spoke with his boss numerous times on the phone before giving us estimates for both the inspection and just the repair of the outlets. You'd think a company in business for any length of time to know how much repair of outlets cost. Needless to say, rather than pay $88 for someone to drive to my house, I paid the ridiculous price to repair the two outlets.

Lonnie responded to the call - he arrived on time and was able to quickly diagnose the electrical problem I was having in my residence. He took the time to explain what was occurring (an overloaded circuit) which I appreciated and rectified it by replacing and switching the circuit breaker in my electrical panel w/ another that required less of a load. The additional cost was very reasonable.

They showed up on time. He did the repair on the electric line. He told me that I needed a new electrical box and quoted $1700.00 as a starting point. I didn't go any further with this gentleman as I felt that he was just trying to sell me something I didn't need. If they are planning to up-sell us, they should ask if I am attempting to get the house up to code for selling purposes.

Alan did a terrific job and took care in making sure everything was done right. He was methodical - we chose Hoffman because they came onsite for the estimate, Alan went into the attic to make sure that everything was good and that the cans could be installed so we don't have a problem or cost increase later on after we sign up. This is really good - nowadays people do not take the time do a proper estimate. Imagine getting into the attic and getting messed up with all the dust etc for a free estimate! He used a handsaw to cut the cans, when we found out that there was a huge amount of dust everywhere in the 2 bedrooms where a power tool was used to cut the ceiling for cans. THe handsaw is more labor intensive, but better overall. THere was a minor issue that came up re: led trims vs the can housing - called Mike Hoffman, the owner who take care of the issue immediately. Have no hesitation in recommending Hoffman - electrical work needs to be done by real professionals, especially wiring inside walls etc so it is to code.
Description of Work: 5 new cans in master bedroom with smart switch, replaced 3 existing chandeliers in kitchen with cans, added 3 extra cans in kitchen, add 4 cans to bedroom 1, bedroom 2, and den with switch, I supplied led with trim for these, fix breaker in kitchen - rewire so when we turn off the breaker switch, it doesn't turn off the dining room switches as well, 1 smoke detector replaced in den and 2 additional smart switches (z-wave ge 3-way and 2-way) installed.

This price was exorbitant. I complained and the price was reduced to $863.66. Parts price was reduced from $450. to $281.66. Labor price was reduced from $525.00 to $300. I was charged $282.00 for use of bucket truck. My property manager said the serviceman was there for approximately 2 hours. I made a serious mistake for not asking for a firm quote but I was prepared to pay no more than $600. Be careful when ordering service from this company.
