Fleet Concrete Inc

I called Fleet Concrete for a survey and was told someone would be there on the agreed date of 29 Nov '11. Bob came to the door at 9 A.M. as promised; we spent about a half hour going over what I wanted to have done. Bob was a very friendly person to deal with and was true to his word in all aspects. He said he'd take care of everything and he did. The city sent someone out to find underground cables and marked areas with orange paint. About a week or so later the permit was granted after which Bob called and said his crew would be there on 14 Dec '11 at 0830. The showed up at the agreed time and I went over what we wanted done. The crew got to work, brought in the equipment and began excavating the areas. They finished up the next day have taken great care during excavation. The city inspector came a day later (15 DEC '11) to see if all was done according to code and noted there was no termite treatment certificate; this was needed since the sidewalk came within 3 feet of the house outside wall. I called Bob and he said he would take care of everything. True to his word, the termite treatment company came the same afternoon and sprayed the area identified by the inspector. On 16 Dec '11 the concrete truck arrived and the pouring of concrete began. Bob's crew worked until the job was finished which went beyond quitting time. His foreman was a true professional in every sense of the word and always asked me if I was satisfied with their work and did it look like I wanted. His work is excellent. For final payment, Bob reduced the price due to restriction imposed by the city- we were not able to bring the concrete slab all the way down to the curb due to city owned water boxes on my property; and secondly at Bob's suggestion we were able to bring the concrete truck up on the driveway instead of pumping it from the street. I have nothing but the utmost respect and trust for Bob, his crew and Fleet Concrete, Inc. This was for me a stressless contract. Bob always called to keep me abreast of developments and to make sure I was pleased with the work at hand. I would recommend Fleet Concrete, Inc to anyone who wants concrete work done no matter what size the job. Bob and his crew will do a first class job!!!

Bob Custer, owner, helped me plan new drive. He had excellent ideas and was there every step of the way. His folks are first rate. Outstanding!

Bob was fantastic. He and his staff were able to fit the job in during an already busy week and did everything exactly when and how he said he would. I will definitely use this company again when I need concrete service and highly recommend them to anyone else.

I selected this company because of the positive comments i read on Angie's list and I totally concur, they were very responsive and they set up an appointment to provide an estimate very quickly. They completed the work within the time and cost estimates. I am very satisfied and would use them again.

They were reasonable. They were really nice, and they did a good job. I will use them in the future if needed.

The job went great from start to finish. The first one out was Jim who excavated all the existing concrete which took approx. 2-3 days. The rest of the crew came in w/the job foreman Hiram. The importance of a great job is to have a crew that are highly experienced, great work ethics and hard workers..no slouches. You also need a strong presence in your job foreman. This company has all of that and then some. Hiram was the job foreman and really knew his job and his crew. Hiram has got to be the best job foreman we have dealt with while renovating our home. They arrived early and put in their time and was not "clock punchers". They did everything as described above. During the excavating, irrigation lines were pulled up due to the fact that they were laid so close to the surface of the previous driveway. Bob made sure this was taken care of and all the damaged irrigation lines were fixed or replaced. They even took care of removing and moving sprinkler heads. The form was set, the soil compacted, the rebar added and after all the preliminaries were done the concrete came. 113 yards of it...not all at once, of course. The pouring was done over a 3 day period as there was much to pour. All was smooth and broom finish. The next day they added the control joints, 12' each way. I don't know as much about concrete as my husband but the finished product is great! Neighbors have remarked about the work and one of them took their name and number and will be having their driveway done. I am pleased I found Fleet Concrete on Angie's list and the A+ rating is definitely deserved.

They always arrived on time, did what they said they were going to do ( and sometime went beyond what they said and did more). The owner was very professional and the workers were very courteous, polite and professional as well.

THE WHOLE JOB TOOK ABOUT A MONTH TO COMPLETE. THIS WAS ALL DUE TO OUR GREAT WEATHER IN AUGUST. THE PREP TIME WAS THE LONGEST PART OF THE JOB. THE PATIO TOOK ONLY 2 TO 3 DAYS FOR COMPLETION. FLEET HAD TO COME BACK A COUPLE OF TIMES TO SEAL SOME LEAKS BUT THAT WAS TO BE ACCEPTED. BOB CUSTER, CONTRACTOR WAS ALWAYS AVAILABLE AND ALWAYS FOLLOWED THROUGH. THE WHOLE TEAM WAS GREAT. THE ONLY MISHAP WAS DUE TO THE WET WEATHER WHICH SLOWED THE PREP FOR POURING OF THE CONCRETE. BOB AND THE GUYS WERE GREAT, HE WAS ALWAYS ON THE SPOT WITH ANY SOLUTIONS THAT I HAD AND I HAD A COUPLE WITH SURVEYS AND DRAINAGE. GREAT JOB, GUYS

I cannot say enough good things about Fleet Concrete. If you are searching for a concrete guy, Bob is the guy for you. He was professional and responsive every step of the way. His price is right in line with his quality, and he will patiently work with you to give you what you want. We have received several compliments from neighbors as well as those within the business. Do yourself a favor and look no further!

Bob from Fleet Concrete came out on a Saturday to look at the project and provided us with a quote. During the originally meeting he offered suggestions on what we could do with the patio. We had another company come out and gave us a quote for about the same price; however, we were confidant in what Bob's company could produce. It was clear he knew his business. We did ask him to come back to discuss the project more before we contracted with him. To accommodate our schedule, he came over on a Sunday morning. We agreed to the price and start date. His crew was right on time on the start morning and they were all very pleasant and professional. It was clear that they were committed to doing quality work. Throughout the project, they asked questions and offered other suggestions on height, width, etc... For example, I was uncertain about the width for a border color around the steps and patio and they did a chalk line to help me decide. Overall, I would highly recommend Fleet Concrete and would refer family and friends to them.

Bob came to the house and provided the estimate. Gave me some good advice on how to proceed. He and his team were very professional, very timely and did a nice job. They installed a decco drain around my pool and did some grading of the landscaping around the front of my home. I would recommend them.

They gave me a quote about two weeks later. It was an incomplete quote because they didn’t have all of the information that they were going to research and give to me. Then I never heard anything from them. The quote was given around August 26th. They came out quickly. I called them in the morning and they were here within three hours. They took detailed measurements and did a whole bunch of good stuff.

They have come back every single time and I haven't had any issues with them. The work was covered under the warranty. They were very polite and got here as soon as they possibly could because the weather has been atrocious. They tried to get out here very quickly and they did an excellent job. I have no complaints. I would use them again.

I was very happy with them. I called Angie's List and they gave me the names of 3 people that could help me and Fleet Concrete was the one I chose. They were wonderful people. They were just wonderful to me. I was very much in distress when I was looking for somebody to help me. They were very comforting and they did a great job. I thought their price was very reasonable. The quality was very good. They came over immediately that afternoon. They came when they said they would.

They showed up on time as they said they would. They worked continuously all day and finished same day. It was an impressive crew to watch and their workmanship was noticed by many neighbors. I'm sure there will be referrals coming.

They were great . Called that morning -right after I sent the email at 6am. They came out on the day they said and right on time. Bob -was very good and helpful-even told me not to do a section. Gave me a price while there and even offered some good advise on other projects he was not going to work on. They came out in 2 days and had it framed -poured and finished that day. Cleaned up and could not tell they were there -other than the new concrete and sidewalks. even cut some brick for me on the side of house.. Will never us another concrete company other than Fleet

Old driveway (7" x 71') was excavated. Roots from a Grand Oak in neighbor's yard had grown up in my driveway. These roots were pruned after an extended delay from the City of Tampa to obtain the necessary permits. New driveway was poured 4" thick. Also, a new walkway with brick pavers was installed. Fleet Concrete was very responsive and professional. They spent considerable time in obtaining the permit that was complicated due to the Grand Oaks.

I spent $3000 to $4000 on the job. Their price was reasonable given the amount of work that they did. So far, there has not been any problem and their workmanship seems to be good. They were good. They were not able to accommodate my additional requests that I wanted to get done outside the initial contract or the intial understanding, although I was ready to pay for that.

Some of the work was sub contracted; but they were the general contractor. They were very businesslike. They showed up when they said they were going. Their price was fair. Their work quality was good. We didn't really have any reason to complain, and that is all we could expect. They fixed whatever minor problems occurred without any argument. They were very nice to work with. The guy who runs the company is Bob Custar. He is very good to work with. We don't think we could have done better than what he charged us.

All personnel were courteous and respectful. Came to house, discussed what was wanted, agreed to dimensions, took care of drawings and permit, prepared site, completed job, cleaned up.

The job was fantastic. I wanted an original patio with color, leaf imprints, and salt markings.

The workers were very nice and worked with me in regards to making sure that everything was the way we wanted it before the concrete was poured. When the concrete was poured the job was excellent. On my patio they made sure that the new pad and old pad matched up. I have no dip from the old to the new. The driveway works out great with our truck and our car. Along with pouring the concert we also had Bob put in a new screen area around our patio. We had the Elite screening put in and it looks great. We bought two new outdoor fans and the guys put them up for us when they were installing the fan. Bob was considerably less then any other estimate that we received. He was very considerate and always made sure that we were happy. I would defiantly use him again along with recommend him to anyone who need this type of work.

When I contacted them they called me right back. Bob came out on a Saturday to measure and provide estimate. They did all the permitting etc. The people that layed the concrete were courteous and knowledgable. Bob came out the next day to inspect and indicated that he wanted more expansion joints cut. They came out the next week and did that. The guys that layed the concrete have been working with Bob for 20 years or more.

I found them on Angie's List. They were on time. They had a great crew and they did a quality job. There were no issues with the clean up as well. I would use them again in the future.

The response to my phone call was same day, the free consultation was handled professionally, and work started immediately after. The paint used on the garage matched perfectly to the rest of the house. The pool screen looks great, and it is nice to have a side door that actually closes. Even though the concrete removal was postponed a few times over a week, he always called to give me an update on the situation. Overall, I am extremely happy with the results.
