I received a phone call reply to my request for an estimate on 8/6/15. The woman who called me was rude and condescending. Instead of accommodating my request for an visit to obtain an estimate, I was subjected to an interrogation for details about the job that I couldn't possibly answer over the phone while I was at work. Examples of the questions I she asked that I could and did answer were: (1) What is the nature of the work? (I need a wooden railroad tie retaining wall along the side of my house replaced, and a concrete walkway) (2) Do you live in a subdivision? (I answered Yes) (3) Does your subdivision have a homeowners association? (I answered Yes) (4) Is the retaining wall set back from the property line? (I answered Yes, by at least 3 feet) The woman then belligerently subjected me to multiple detailed questions that only a building professional would be able to answer, including questions about minimum setback from the house foundation and the current compliance with the building codes. I tried to explain to this woman that those kinds of questions would be best handled during the estimate, but she refused to schedule an appointment and kept insisting on more answers to questions that I was incapable of answering. I told here the retaining wall already existed and had been built by the home builder 15 years ago and she nonsensically replied "It doesn't matter, you still have to meet new building codes!" ...WHAT???? I reminded he that all I wanted was for someone to come and give me an estimate, that the detailed questions could be resolved then. She replied she needed to make sure they were not wasting their time sending someone out to give me an estimate. When I told the woman maybe I was doing business with the wrong company, she replied that maybe I was. The conversation ended when she stated I need to find another company to do the work. I have never been so mistreated, not even by companies that are not on Angie's List. I called Fleet Concrete Inc. on 8/6 during the evening and left a message that I wanted to speak with Mr. Bob Custer himself to discuss what had transpired on 8/6 before I would rate his company on Angie's list, and I received no response. My response is this rating.

Very good work, a pleasure to deal with. Very responsive and quick quality work.

The job was made difficult because of heavy rains. However, the crew stood their ground and continued to work between storms. Final results were excellent.

IT WAS EXCELLENT COMPANY SET ME UP FOR AN APPPOINTMENT AND ESTIMATE WITHIN 3 DAYS OF MY CALLING FOR AN APPOINTMENT

They were prompt, punctual, and helpful. Their price was better than anything we'd gotten elsewhere, but still a bit more than we were hoping to pay so we've elected not to move forward with the driveway plan at this time, but that's not because of Fleet. If we decide to do it in the future, we'll call them again.

There were a couple of minor delays caused by several things including inclement weather and my failure to return the signed notice of commencement in a timely manner. However, once begun, the work was completed very quickly and entirely to my satisfaction. The required inspection went off without a hitch. Very satisfied with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the staff.

I couldn't be anymore satisfied. The owner was very polite. They were on time. They went over and above the call of duty to make sure that we were satisfied. When they missed an area, rather than only doing a patch job, they went over the whole surface to make sure it was all even and it made it look even better.

Outstanding! Outstanding! Outstanding! It took several months to get the driveway approved since I ended up needing an easement on a portion of a property owned by the city--it had to go through the city council. Bob was a model of patience during the entire process. He stopped by to work with the city inspector, the surveyor that the city required, and to advise us in the wording for the easement--a true professional. He even rescheduled the start date several times because of additional requirements added by the city--all with no problem. Once we finally got started the driveway went fast. Mon-Tue was removing old driveway, setting frames and getting the initial city inspection. Wednesday the concrete was poured. Thursday the forms were removed and the area was cleaned up. Now we have one GREAT driveway. Bob has one outstanding work crew. Every one of them were hard working, very experienced in their trade, and friendly. We since have had people stop in the street when we were in the yard to comment on the driveway. All said the same thing, "What a beautiful driveway." If we ever need any concrete work, they'll be the only folks we call.

THEY DID A FANTASTIC JOB ON MY DRIVEWAY! BOB CUSTER QUICKLY RESPONDED TO MY CALL. HE CAME OUT THE SAME DAY, SIGNED THE STATEMENT OF WORK, AND HAD LEON AND MICHEAL WORKING ON THE DRIVEWAY -- ALL IN THE SAME DAY. LEON CALLED BEFORE COMING OUT. HE WAS PROMPT AND CAME OUT EXACTLY WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD. BOB CUSTER ANTICIPATED THAT THERE MIGHT BE SOME PATCH WORK TO FOLLOW-UP THE CUT. HE REASONABLY PRICED ANY PATCHWORK AT $100.00 GREAT ATTENTION TO DETAIL! I HAD DRAWN A DIFFICULT DESIGN ON THE DRIVEWAY WHICH INVOLVED A SEMI-CIRCLE AND HORIZONTAL LINES COMING OUT FROM EACH SIDE OF THE SEMI-CIRCLE. THIS WAS NO EASY TASK, SINCE THE DRIVEWAY WAS OLD AND HAD CRACKED IN A NUMBER OF AREAS WHERE THE DRIVEWAY WAS TO BE CUT OUT FROM. LEON WAS VERY CAREFUL AND PRECISE. HE CUT THE PATTERN OUT SO WELL THAT HE DID NOT DISTURB THE CRACKED AREA OF THE DRIVEWAY. VERY CLEAN, COURTEOUS AND COOPERATIVE. I HAVE A LARGE WALL OF CEDAR BOARDS NEAR THE AREA TO BE CUT WHICH HAD RECENTLY BEEN STAINED. AT MY REQUEST, THEY COMPLETELY COVERED THE WALL WITH A TARP AND SEALED IT ALL OFF WITH TAPE. WHEN THE CUTTING HAD BEEN COMPLETED, LEON AND MICHEAL REMOVED ALL THE DEBRIS AND SWEPT AND CLEANED EVERYTHING UP BEAUTIFULLY. ADMIRERS OF THEIR WORK. I HAD A LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR OUT TO THE HOUSE. HE WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH THE WAY THE DRIVEWAY HAD BEEN CUT, HE ASKED FOR THE NAME AND NUMBER OF FLEET CONCRETE SO HE COULD USE THEM. OTHER VISITORS WHO HAVE BEEN OUT TO THE HOUSE, HAVE ALSO BEEN IMPRESSED WITH FLEET CONCRETE'S WORK. BOTH MICHAEL AND LEON ARE HARD WORKERS AND VERY HELPFUL. LEON IS A REAL TREASURE. HE REALLY TOOK THE TIME TO DO IT RIGHT. I REALLY APPRECIATE THEIR WORK..

If I needed to I would definitely use them in the future.

Everyone showed up right on time. They went over the work I was expecting and then got started. They added soil, leveled the areas and set up the frame for the cement. They found a problem while preparing for the cement. Turns out the septic tank was right under the soon-to-be porch. They got parts from a plumbing supply store and came up with solutions to the problem. As they were preparing the area to be cemented they found several changes that made the area better for maintenance and looks. The cement areas came out better than I expected and the entire experience was great.

The most amazing thing is that I spoke to Bob the same day that I contacted his company and they came and did the work the next day, completed. Bob gave us a discount . The crew was professional and polite and very skilled. We could not have been happier with the work. I have nothing negative to say about the service by fleet concrete. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family and will hire them again the next time I need them. Thanks to Bob and Angie's list.

When called for an estimate, Fleet scheduled a time and were very prompt in coming. The estimate seemed very reasonable and I scheduled a date for the repair. As Florida would have it, it rained so the concrete could not be poured that day. Rescheduled and the workers came and began the prep work by removing damaged driveway and leveling the ground. The workmen were very professional in their performance and worked constantly until job was complete. I do recommend Fleet Concrete and would use them again if needed

Original: 4/8 Fleet did a great job for us. We knew conceptually what we wanted but Bob came out and helped us to layout what we really needed in detail. He talked through how to lay it out to look best, how to put in curved areas etc that would make it look more polished and generally got us to the right design. His staff came out and prepped the site. They were friendly, professional and hard workers. They came in and poured the driveway while we were out of town. We came home to an excellent finished product. We had a bit more landscaping cleanup than we expected but when we looked a bit closer it all made sense - areas with no grass were mostly due to no grass there previously etc. Update 5/15 As the concrete has continued to dry and the final coloring has settled in we have been increasingly happy with what we are seeing. Best thing I can say is if you are considering a new driveway etc. give them a call and have them come give you a bid - they helped us with our design as a part of that process and we are very pleased. We would definitely work with Bob for our needs in the future.

Once date was set, they showed up on time, got the work done and even helped with redistributing the extra soil from the expansion area. The crew was a pleasure to work with. I was amazed at how smooth it went, and how well they worked with us.

Bob came out the following day I called them and took measures, gave great suggestions and told me he was going to email a quote. I never heard back from him. I emailed him a week later asking to submit his quote and never got a reply. This morning I decided to call before writing a review, left a message and, never heard back from them again. I finally got a call from his wife telling me she had tried to call me all day the previous day and was getting and error message. Amazing she had my email and could have contacted me that way. I finally received their quote but did not use their service because of how difficult it was to receive the quote.

This company is great. Very well run, professional, timely, and accommodating. Bob came to the house to see what he could do for me and made recommendations to alleviate some drainage issues. I decided to contract with him largely on his presentation. He showed me pictures of his work and his enthusiasm and knowledge won the day. The actual time from the first truck pulling up until the last cleanup was two days. It looks fantastic and I couldn't be happier.

Fantastic! Bob and his crew are the best. They installed the walkway in less than 7 hours and made sure everything was as I wanted. They cleaned up after themselves and were very professional.

It was excellent! The removal crew arrived exactly on time and removed all of the old concrete in record time. On the second day the form-crew arrived at 7:30 AM and laid out the forms, prepped the surface and was ready for the concrete. By 5:00PM the new concrete was in place and was basically finished. On the third day the finishing crew arrived early and did the final touches to the surface. The whole operation was done in a highly professional manner with professional equipment by workers who obviouusly knew their profession! Bob the owner was great to work with, he responded to the request for estimate immediately, made a fair estimate and was ready to schedule the job. It was a pleasure to do business with Fleet Concrete. Everyone from the person answering my first telephone call to the final rap up were great to work with. All were friendly and responsive. A real PAT ON THE BACK TO ALL!

They've been pretty responsive. Unfortunately, the other one that we contacted, didn't show up when they said they were going to. They were very good. They worked with us very well. Bob was great. They came about 2 or 3 days after I've called and then he came out and gave an estimate, gave me an estimate on the spot, and then I had to check with my better half and my wife came out, then he came out again to make sure that she understood what was going on. He was very conscientious about doing it. I was very happy with the results. He worked with us on the price a little bit which was nice. He was open to that. We haven't had the work done yet so I can't grade him on that as of yet. He was right on time.

They were fine. We just decided we didn't want to do it. He was a nice guy, very good and very professional.

We had a hard time with companies not wanting to quote our work or giving us high minimum dollar amounts to consider our job. Fleet did a great job of working with us on the right products to use (we ended up going with travertine) and the design that would work best for the space we had. They ran into a few difficulties on the job and instead of getting it done in one day, they took over two days to make sure that everything was perfect before they left. This is a great company to do business with.

Bob, the owner was very responsive from the first call for an estimate al the way through job to completion. He worked with us along the process to give us many options and suggestions which were very helpful in determining the final design and option decisions. All phases went smoothly with the crew showing up on time and the job proceeding without any delays. All the workers were friendly and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves and left our property looking very well after such a lot of work. When I had questions, Bob and his crew were patient and helpful. The final result was spectacular and our new-look drive and sidewalks enhance the overall appearance of our home. Many neighbors have admired the job and Fleet will likely be doing more work in our neighborhood.

The contractor was very professional and tried his best to provide a quality product. He was very responsive when called upon to make changes and minor repairs.
