Description of Work: They installed 6 slider doors. Unfortunately, the door that is used the most,is 6 inches narrower than the previous doors. Every time we open the door, we bang our knuckles painfully. I complained about this and FAS responded by telling me to "be more careful when you open the door." Needless to say, I was very dissatisfied and told them so. They have done nothing to resolve this issue. But you can bet that they cashed the check immediately. I would NOT recommend FAS to anyone.

Description of Work: Replaced 3 large windows in our home. They did an excellent job. There were a couple of minor changes that had to be done to pass county inspection. The inspector was waiting for FAS to arrive and replace the parts to complete his inspection. They were late so the inspection was delayed. The owner of the company contacted his staff and had them fix the problem immediately. Inspection was done shortly afterwards and all was well. The company in general, and the owner in particular, were very professional and friendly at all times. We would recommend them anytime! | |Thank you FAS!

Description of Work: The date of service was Apr 15, 2008 and the cost of service was 60,000.

Description of Work: We did not order this through Angie's List although it was mentioned from our neighbors, who used them last May. The timeline was as it was presented was kept pretty much to schedule. We attempted to contact the sales person several times, but there was no response from him. The ladies in the office were great as were the installers. There was a problem with one of the panels (pans) and the rectified it after installation, when the installer spotted it. They addressed it as soon as the replacements came in (learned there were 3 panels in each window). The major problem was getting the paperwork for the insurance company. I was told it was up to the salesperson to supply it, but as previously stated he never responded. Suzanne Baltzley and Carolyn Aden were very accommodating in getting what I needed. The lack of paperwork is the reason for the delay in my response. I would use this company again and recommend it to anyone who needs this service. I would give this a A- rather than an A due to the poor salesman performance.

Description of Work: Used twice 1. Replaced most of house windows with custom sized hurricane protection windows in 2009 2. Anderson French door out to porch in 2013.very happy with everything they did. As far as cost comparison I do not know

Description of Work: On my home built in 1983, FAS replaced all the original builder windows with Simonton double-glazed, double-sash vinyl windows, along with two sliding glass doors. This is a late review, and the calendar on this web form would not allow the date of service to go back to when this was done- 11/4/2007. | |I had many estimates for this job. While not the lowest, the estimator for FAS was the most professional, and the most helpful in terms of some decisions I needed to make about the job. The work was done in a timely manner by installer(s) who really knew what they was doing, and who had no problem with me asking questions. The manufacturer sent two windows of the right size but not to the ordered specs. These were installed until FAS could reorder the correct windows. They were delivered in a reasonable time, as I recall, and were installed to my satisfaction. | |The best thing I can say about this company is that the have stood behind their work. After a year or so, one window showed some unexpected condensation between the panes. It was replaced without hesitation. After seven years, some parts were needed for another window. I called FAS and explained what was needed. They were ordered and sent to me directly from the manufacturer at no cost. | |I highly recommend FAS Windows and Doors.
