It was a positive experience. They cracked one of our marble sills. They came right out and fixed it. These are really nice windows. We're doing 25% a year and we're almost done. They delivered what they said they're going to deliver. We're very happy with the windows and how they were installed. The two problems we had, they fixed it very quickly. Their price was average. They're really nice windows.

We shopped around, and we saw them at the home show. We had a lot of places come over and give us estimates, and it seemed like they had the most competitive prices. They later gave us a new window for the window which we were not satisfied with. We got hurricane impact windows, and we didn't get them all because they are expensive, so we will use them again, because we started with them.

Installation was quick, completed in less than 3 hours and cleanup was done by the installers. What I was not happy with was the time from ordering to the time of installation. Almost 3 months had passed before I had my doors installed. I actually followed up with them twice on when my order was going to arrive. Would have liked for the company to contact me to give me a status since it was beyond the 4-6 week timeframe that they quoted.

As part of a major house renovation (30 years old), we had FAS replace 4 sliding glass doors, one glass lite door, a double door entry, and seven single hung windows. All new items were double insulated and hurricane rated. Very nice work. These items in hurricane resistant construction are very expensive but required under current codes.

Very professional and clean job, would definitely hire again

Very pleased with the product itself. However, the installation process did not go well. The people sent were not very good at finding solutions to any out of the box issues. I had to call and ask for someone with more experience. they sent someone who was able to patch up what was wrong but I had to wait for a period of time.

Provider was professional and showed up on time. I was quoted for changing the 21 windows in my historic home from aluminium to vinyl (double hung and double pane). The provider showed on time, was very professional and the product shown was of good quality. Sadly I ended up going for another company that did my windows with a comparable product for almost $5000 less. I would say that they were great excepting that their quote was too expensive.

On May 4, 2012, Dan Hosmer came to our home and we purchased all new windows for our house which came with a lifetime warranty for both materials and installation. We made a deposit at that time of $20,163.00. FAS started the installation in July but there was little to no apparent quality control, as many of the 40 windows were flawed or were the incorrect size and had to be returned and reordered. We paid the balance to Dan of $20,163.00 in December of 2012. After the initial installation(7 months from order date), with the corrected windows installed, less than six months passed before the windows began to have problems with failed parts and gas leaks from between the panes. When advised of the problem in June 0f 2013, they ordered 4 replacements without even coming to the house to inspect/assess, which left us to believe that they knew they had an issue with the manufacturer. On October 17th, the 4 replacements were installed, with 2 or 3 of the 4 being installed backwards/inside out. Dan came to the house the day after we advised him that there was an issue and he verified that there was problem. 2 months later on December 30, 2013, a technician came to our house to make repairs showing up unprepared and with no briefing/detailed knowledge on the work that needed to be done. He was not advised that it was a two story house and would need a long ladder, and he didn't have the parts to repair other windows that had issues. The tech tried repeatedly to call the office and get advice on how to proceed but could not reach anyone. As of this writing, the problem remains unresolved. We made made a $40,000.00 investment in our home and are extremely dissatisfied and would not wish this on anyone. To all our Angie's List friends don't take the salesperson's word for the quality of a product or the company's responsiveness for service. Member Comments: I would not recommend them to anyone.

I based this review on three important items . 1 Cost. The cost of the replacement was very competitive with other businesses that I had contacted. 2. Quality of product installed. The doors that FAS quoted me the price on were highly rated. When the installation was completed the doors functioned remarkably well. 3. Installation/Follow-up. I could not have asked for a better installation crew. They were extremely clean and paid attention to every detail. Follow-up from the office about the installation and concern that I was pleased with the product and installation gave me the impression that I would had nothing less than an excellent experience with their company. Would I recommend FAS to family and friends....Definitely

I've always had good experiences with FAS Windows & Doors LLC. They were prompt and on time. They were fairly priced and willing to negotiate much bolder schedules. They delivered the quality product. They came out when they said so.

Overall, the job went well and we are happy with the doors and windows. They were the only company we spoke with that could provide suitable replacement doors in terms of size and function. They were the only company that we spoke with that could supply the model and style of windows that we wanted. I attribute that, in part, to the sales rep. He was very knowledgeable about his product lines and it was obvious that he had a lot of experience with local construction. The quality of the windows and doors appears to be very good. Time will tell. The prices were a little less than some of the other quotes we received, but no other installer we spoke with carried these units so I have no basis for comparison. I initially gave them a C overall because they failed the first city code inspection. To the inspector it appeared that the fastener installation did not appear to match the blueprints. It turns out he was looking at the wrong drawings. I tried to reach someone at FAS by phone while the inspector was on site, but nobody was available to assist. Why not have someone on standby for inspection issues? Since there are other complaints about the same issue, I would get some assurances about properly closing out the permitting process before signing. To be sure, the installation work was done correctly. As stated above, there was confusion regarding the drawings necessary for the inspection. After the initial failure, the installer came out and flagged the drawings for the inspector. The installer then met the inspector at our home to address any questions or issues. Therefore, I increased the overall rating to a "B". I would give them an "A", except I believe FAS needed to do a better job at putting a process in place for the inspection process the first time around. I would use FAS again.

FAS windows and doors is a study in professionalism! From my first contact, through our sales rep. Dan, Tammy's skill at handling the scheduling and Jeff and A.J.'s excellent installation, everything was a pleasure. All scheduled appointments were kept. Although my home presented some installation challenges, Jeff and A.J. took them in stride and did a beautiful, professional job. They were very careful about clean-up and despite all of the work that had been done, you could not tell that anyone was there (other than the great looking windows I was left with.) We plan on additional remodeling projects in the near future and I only hope all future contractors come close to the performance of FAS. Thank you all!

On looking over this review, I believe it needs to be upgraded to avoid creating the impression for the reader that the actual work, product or workmanship was in some way unsatisfactory. The product itself is great and well priced, the installers were professional, courteous, and prompt. Our dissatisfaction lies with the front office and their inability to coordinate the logistics of the actual inspections.

While at the home show at Tropicana Field I talked to a salesperson for FAS about replacing my sliding glass doors, and gave her my information. That weekend Tropical Storm Debby came through, my roof leaked beyond repair and had to be replaced, using my available home repair funds. When I was later contacted by a salesperson for FAS I explained that I no longer had the money for the sliders but would get in touch with them when I was ready to go ahead with the project. I began getting calls from a salesperson named Eddie Smith who now calls me almost daily (I no longer answer his calls). This man leaves me voice mails when he calls and has become a nusance. Smith has been told that I am not ready for the doors but refuses to leave me alone, and continues to harass me. I would not use this company now for anything after Smith's continued harrassment.

The salesman from FAS Windows & Doors, Dan, was very knowledgeable. He was very prompt at getting back to me. They had a variety of products and Dan helped us pick one that was the best use for our home.

We originally contacted FAS thinking we wanted to go with Andersen doors, and they were the listed distributor for our area on the Andersen website. We did check Angie's List, and they had an average rating, but one of the customers had stated that although he had a bad experience with them that he felt it was the manager and that the manager had been replaced. We also felt the sales person we dealt with, Dan, was upfront and honest. We went with FAS, and they stated our doors should arrive in 6 weeks, after they send the measurers out. This is when our problems started, they charged our credit card for the deposit, but never called to set up the appointment for the measurers. We called repeatedly, left messages, no one returned calls. It wasn't until our credit card company called to verify the transaction with us, and we had the credit card company connect us with FAS, that someone took our call. Our sales person at this time was always unavailable, and we were told only he could handle our contract. The doors arrived on time, but one door had a broken frame. The installers were honest enough to point this out, and told us they would order another and it would hopefully be rush delivered. Weeks passed, FAS never contacted us. When we called several weeks later I was told just the new frame arrived. I was told by Terry, the production manager, that since the original door had been delivered to me that it was a warranty issue now and that the manufacturuer would only fix it, not replace it. This door was broken upon delivery, and never installed, so we refused a patched-up door. Terry said this was not an option, and told me that if I insisted he would make the installers pay for the cost of the door. He was very rude, and I felt he was trying to manipulate me to accept the patched up door. When we finally mentioned contacting Angie's List and the BBB, he agreed to replace the door. The installers returned, and did a wonderful job. If it was not for the installers, Homer and his crew, we would have contacted the Angie's List/BBB a long time ago.

They provided me with a free quote. Everything about them was great but they just weren’t low. They were excellent in terms of their professionalism and they got back to me quickly.

I didn't have a great experience with them and it is kind of an unfortunate thing. I had contacted the company a couple of times but haven't been able to get anybody to really respond. I had my windows replaced a year before and I had all the paperwork from the prior replacement of one section of the house. The salesman from FAS Windows & Doors who had come out inadvertently grabbed my folder when he took his things. He was very nice and personable and spent plenty of time with us. We talked the next day and he told me that he had my folder and that he would bring it back. We got a second quote from another company and decided to go with them. I called the gentleman to tell them we would not be using their services and asked him to return the folder with the paperwork since it included the receipt, a copy of my check, and the warranty on all the windows. He assured me that he would get it back to me and that he was sorry that we weren't going with them but he never showed up. I contacted him again and he told me that it had been mailed back to me but I never got it. I still have the e-mail from the salesman saying that he had mailed it to me. I called their customer service and asked to speak with the manager and they said that there wasn't anybody available and they would take a message and call back, but they never did. I tried to follow up on it twice but I couldn't get anybody to call me back. I was disappointed with that aspect and I still grind my teeth when I see their advertisement on television. In the meanwhile, I called the manufacturer of the windows and they told me how I could get the serial number from the windows and that the warranty would be honored even though I didn't have the paperwork since they could access everything with that serial number. I stopped pursuing the paperwork at that point. FAS Windows & Doors had actually given me the lowest quote but it is just that they job out the installation and I had a problem with the installers who had been given the job by the company that had replaced the first section of windows and which is now out of business. The company that I finally went with had their own in-house installers and we felt that they would be able to handle any issues that we had better. I have never heard from FAS Windows & Doors again. The issue did not have anything to do with the quality of their windows or installation or anything like that but I wouldn't recommend them.

Everything was perfect. Homer and Christopher were extremely competent. They were courteous, clean, and professional during the window installation. I highly reccomend them to anyone.

The guy was very courteous. They offered an additional 5% off ... and do not like this kind of business ... told them give us your best price .

The installers did a very good job and I was pleased with the outcome. They've been back a couple times for some warranty issues, which were completed to my satisfaction.

Installation Manager made an appointment and met with me to schedule installation. Contract installers arrived as promised and did a good job of installing windows. They were neat and cleaned up as they when along.

They did a good job. They are reliable. The work was done 2 years ago and I am still happy with the work. I would hire them again.

They pulled the permit for me and when the inspector was to show up I was told I could call town hall and I could find out when he was coming. The inspector fell behind schedule and I called FAS up and they called the inspector and he said he would be here first thing the next morning. They were good in that they were here Monday and they were gone Tuesday so they completed the job quickly. After the fact, they were more expensive than their competitors. They were good with their advertising. I love the windows! They are wonderful and keep the home temperate. When I went to do my income taxes, I did not get my rebates since I did not make as much money last year. It is very hard to find out about the rebates and it seems to be a big run around with the IRS since the end of January I called up to get the form and it had not been printed up yet. I would use them in the future if I could afford them.

They did good work in a reasonable time frame.
