They did a good job. The service was excellent.

Punctuality was a bit of an issue but the installer was very friendly and worked very efficiently so I didn't mind the wait.

The service was very good. They were helpful in helping us to figure out what our needs were and they also assisted in the design. They were very professional. They put down canvas maps to avoid any mess. They were clean with the job.

The service turned out well. The guy did a good job with the installation and left no mess. I wish they would give a discount for having them provide multiple units.

Installer was supposed to be at our home on a Friday for an estimate. He got held up at another job and did not make it that day. I had to call the office to find out what had happened. However, the sales manager made up for this by insuring that the estimate was given on the following Monday according to our schedule. We have decided to have two tubes installed. One in a very dark kitchen which has been installed at the time of this writing. We are very pleased. Installation was professional and timely. I can actually go in the kitchen without having to turn a light on. The second tube will be installed next month in our living/dining room. I know we will be as happy with that.

We just moved into our house in May. We loved everything about it except that the living room and dining room were so dark!! I called about a Solatube and within a week, there were at my house. The installer was knowledgeable, friendly and very efficient. Within an hour we had wonderful sunlight streaming into our house. He cleaned everything up and didn't leave a thing out of place. I have told everyone I know that if they have a dark area, they need to call this company. Thank you, thank you. Now my house is perfect!

They were prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and they did very high quality work. They were terrific. When I came home from work, I never would have known they had been here, except the solar tubes were installed. They were impeccably clean, especially since they had to cut through the roof and ceiling. They did a super job! The tubes bring a lot of light into the room, without the heat. We have since called them back for additional tubes. We thought the pricing was reasonable, and the quality was excellent. I have recommended Daylight Concepts to all our friends.

Done in one day with no problems from start to finish

We were interested in having solar attic fans installed in our house. The first company (can't recall name but they're out of St. Pete) wanted to charge us $5,000 to install one attic fan. After researching other companies, I found Daylight Concepts. We had a very good conversation over the phone about what was required for my house. They took the time to listen to my concerns, answer my questions, and were very honest with what they thought I needed, which was (1) 10w fan and (1) 20w fan because the 20w alone was right on the cusp of my square footage. They were very clear that they weren't there to sell me a second fan but thought it would provide a benefit. I was already thinking that when he explained how much square footage the 20w fan could handle. They told me what benefit people usually see from installing attic fans but were quick to point out that each house was different. They asked a number of questions about my home to ensure that the fans would provide a noticeable benefit. I appreciated their honesty. They stated the prices, which were the same as what was quoted on their website, and also told me that there was a $100 installation charge for each fan since I have a tile roof. At the end of the conversation, I said we could go ahead with the install and he patched me over to their scheduling person who has something set up for me the following week. They called the day before to confirm and told us when the installer would be there. The installer was right on time. He inspected the roof and informed us of some gaps that had formed in our ridge vent and some tiles that had slid down past a vent pipe and were exposed the underlayment. He quoted $150 to repair it, which we approved and were glad he found the problems. He had both fans installed in about 2 hours. He was very courteous and professional. They offered a $30 instant rebate per fan, which was reflected on the bill and there were no surprises. Everything went off as advertised and it was a very pleasant experience. As far as the benefit, we noticed it the very next day. Even though we had insulation blown into the attic above the recommended R factor, any time the outside temperature was 80+, the inside of the house would be 78-80 and very stuffy because we turn off the A/C when we're not home. When we came home in the late afternoon after being gone all day, the outside temp was 82 and the inside temp was 74 and comfortable! The house is consistently 5-7 degrees cooler every day than it was prior to the fans being installed. We can't wait to see how low our electric bill goes this summer! Everything Daylight Concepts will tell you to expect from installing solar attic fans is true. I would highly recommend them to anyone for their honesty, professionalism, and the benefit you get from solar attic fans. There's a 30% tax credit as well! Lastly, you have to be careful of the companies you talk to. As I mentioned, the first company wanted to charge $5,000 for one 20w fan. Daylight Concepts, installed two fans & performed minor roof repairs, all for $1,400. To me it was quite a bargain and the return on investment is going to be very quick. Call them today!

I chose Daylight Concepts because of the many positive reviews I read online, and had a very good experience. The dispatcher, Chris, was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating when I changed my mind about which skylights I wanted the day before the install was scheduled. The installer, Rob, was very professional and efficient. He was also very patient and helpful in explaining all my options as I changed my mind (again) the morning of the install. As he performed the work, Rob was fast yet deliberate, and took great care to minimize the mess and noise. It started pouring rain shortly after he installed them, and has rained since, and there was no leakage. And my solar tubes are absolutely stunning. They transformed my dark rooms into beautiful light filled spaces. I've had many positive comments about my Optiview, in particular, which throws rainbows into my kitchen.

We were exploring options for getting more light into our kitchen and found Daylight Concepts on Angie's list after getting a quote from another roofing company. We received information and pricing on Solatube over the phone from Chris and also setup a visit by an installer to confirm the compatibility of using Solatube. The pricing from Daylight was excellent compared to the other company, but we decided a visit to their showroom was needed before making a commitment. At the showroom we spoke to both Chris and the owner and after seeing the Solatubes on display, we scheduled an install date. We also liked the solar attic fans and bundled 2 fans with the Solatubes, receiving a discount for the total package. Darryl installed the Solatubes and attic fans within the next week and did a great job. Light is now streaming into the kitchen (we went with 2 14" units based on the owner's recommendation) and we're glad we did. This company was professional and service oriented from start to finish and delivered what they proposed.

My husband called and got an estimate and then scheduled the work after we didn't hear from another company. They showed up early on the day of the install which was great! They got the work completed promptly with no issues.

They were very clean and very particular with the installation. What they did worked, so I am happy. The workers were very good. There were no complications. They arrived when they said they would. They were very knowledgeable, and they did a very clean job with the house. I would definitely recommend them. The scheduling was quick and very flexible. It worked well.

The person who did the work was clean, cleaned up after himself, and did a really nice job. They really know what they are doing. I was worried about damage to the ceiling/roof because they had to cut a hole. Our maintainence man went up during the work was done and stated everything looked great and it assure me that would not leak.

Home we purchased in 2004 allegedly had a solar tube in the family room. However, I wasn't real impressed since it never put out much light. When we had a handyman come out to give an estimate for some work I inquired about skylight for the family room. He informed me his neighbor just had Daylight Concept install solar tubes and he love them. I called Daylight Concepts and Daryl came out the next day and advised me what had been installed was not even a solar tube and didn't even go all the way to my roof. I proceeded to have it replaced with a real one. Daryl did the install as well. I found him to be extremely professional and knowledgeable. He was willing to work around our schedule and kept us fully advised as to his anticipated arrival time for both appointments. We plan to have second one installed in our master bath within the next week.

First of all, we LOVE these Solatube lights. Both the bathroom and living room required lights in the daytime, and now they don't. The house is lighter without any of the heat of skylights or electric lights, and so bright that we have to remind ourselves that there's no need to turn off the light when we leave the room. A great idea in lighting. We may even get more. The installer was also the one who came to the house when we were just getting ideas, and he helped us decide that we should NOT get a Solatube in the bedroom (far too bright). He didn't try to sell us additional lights for other rooms, either. Installation was fast--about 3 hours for both--and simple. My only suggestion to buyers is that you ask which kind of Solatube you're getting--the DS or the DSe. The DSe is eligible for federal tax credits for energy-saving windows/doors/skylights, and the DS isn't. I'm pretty sure we got DS (I'm going to call them tomorrow) but because of other home improvements this year, we'll probably recoup the maximum federal tax credits anyway.
