Description of Work: called chets office in the morning around 7:30, for a termite inspection, i was able to get an appointment at noon that day, the tech arrived on time and did an inspection all over the house, and said i was clear of termites, and i did not know the inspection was free, i would have paid i found chets on angies list and recommend them for pest service

Description of Work: We had termite swarms and thought it might be time to tent our house again. It's a two-story house, so tenting is expensive (and of course it's a huge nuisance to bag up the food and move out). We heard about a termite service that does NOT require tenting or moving out. Two guys from Chet's met with us to describe the procedure and the prices. They were helpful, well-trained, and courteous. We signed the contract and were ready to go. The service was performed later that week. It was on-schedule and on-budget. The termite swarms stopped immediately and did not come back during the summer. There is a money back guarantee but I don't expect we will need to use it.

Description of Work: I did not get past the first phone call with this provider. The person on the phone kept insisting that it would be "impossible" for me to get even a range of what services cost. She insisted that someone had to first come to the house, and then I could get an idea of what their services would cost. I am a busy person and I do not have time to meet someone at my house before I could even know if their services are affordable. I was not asking for a specific price quote, just a range of what their different services cost. Their unwillingness to answer these basic questions made me not wantt o do business with them.

Thanks for the post Member. We don't recall ever getting a "D" review so, it's a learning lesson for us. We do stand behind what you encountered on the phone for the following reasons: 1. The reason we ask to set up an appointment at the Clients convenience to perform a “FREE Pest Analysis” to determine what you're dealing with and how we can help. 2. After doing a thorough investigation of what type of pests are infesting the structure, then and only then do we prescribe an action plan to take care of the issues. 3. We get calls ALL the time where a client believes they have a termite issue, but it turns out it was only ants or vice versa. If we gave prices over the phone there would be too many times the client misdiagnosed the proper insect and the treatment necessary to eliminate them. It would be like a doctor prescribing medicine or surgery over the phone without doing a medical test or examination. That would be malpractice, now wouldn’t it? Giving prices over the phone could way over-price or under-price the work that needs to be done. And that's not a good situation either way, don't you think? At any rate, we wish you all the best and hope you can find a company that can help you solve your issues. Carol
