First off, the person who came was an estimator and not the owner or anyone who actually would do any work or supervising at the job. He proceeded to walk through the house at a very hasty speed. He was not much on conversation or questions. I asked to make sure that all window sills will be lightly sanded and repainted as they have large paint brush marks on them. He replied that what I was asking for was something special and not something they usually do and that I was being way too picky and perhaps they where not the guys for my job, that I needed a custom painting company. I told him that I have interviews a number of company's and no one seemed to have a problem with that, that is was a normal request for them, and asked him to finish the estimate. He then proceeded to the rooms with wallpaper, the wallpaper was barley holding on. He told me that wallpaper removal is a per hour work. I asked him for a fixed price as I cannot control how hard the workers will work on the wallpaper removal and considering this was a small part of the large job it should not be a big deal as everyone else I interview up till then had no issue with this. He told me no, that the owner will never agree to this and if I am not ok with this that then there is no reason for him to continue with the estimate. Frankly that was really rood, in the current market to turn away work of this size seemed unusual, but then again he was just an estimator and not management or owner. Yet again I asked him to proceed with the estimate as I would sill like to see what it would be. He continued, it took him half the time then everyone else who has been in my house to do the estimate, and he left. After all this, I never received an estimate from Certa Pro.

They did an excellent job and I was very pleased the work.

On the positive side, the estimator was punctual, thorough and professional. Also the painting team arrived on time each of the three days they were there. Unfortunately, their work quality did not meet expectations. They frequently had to be advised of areas which were missed and walls which required a second coat. In addition, there was some degree of carelessness in their work. My wife and I are still cleaning up paint spills in the bathrooms and other areas of the house. It seemed like the painting team was under time pressures to complete the job and needed to cut corners to meet their self imposed deadlines.

The painters showed up on time as expected. The work was completed in the time frame I was told. They were neat and clean. Cleaned up after themselves. The painting was done very well. The only issue I had was that they unplugged my router and knocked me off line without telling me. I was working from home and lost my connection, otherwise all was well.

They had to come back out in January because the paint was peeling and it took a while, but they did fix it. It was cold and wet, so I think it was the conditions in which it was originally painted. I would tell others that they should not hesitate to call them back if there are any issues. The owner of the branch that I used was very helpful. He had a team of people that he had to oversee and had to keep on top of them.

Hired through Costco. The work was done quickly and fairly well. They do not use any painters tape - most edges were quite well done, considering, except in the bathroom where the edges of wall bottoms and next to windows were not the best. All the trim work and the front doors were originally oil paint which they did not use but assured us that their paint would be OK - so far so good, ten months later. They used our new hose in the front to clean brushes and left the new sprayer a mess with residual paint left on gravel areas. Our bottom line is that we would use them again but next time I will keep a closer watch on the progress.

Being new to Florida, I tend to rely heavily on Angie's List. I grew quickly tired of the mauve and plum walls in my new home that were enjoyed by the previous owner. I wanted to make the home my own, and knew that the paint job was way to big for me as a Mom with a newborn and first grader. I called Certa Pro after reading some ratings on Angie's list. I called to make an appointment for an estimate on Friday and Terry came out the following Monday, which was perfect. Terry is very courteous and professional and was a true no-pressure salesperson (which i appreciate). He assisted me with understanding color sheens (flat,satin, etc.) and left me a color palate to pick out the perfect colors. I found his estimate to be very reasonable, so I went ahead and offered approval to do the work within 2 days. I advised him that I would email him my color selction. That night, I emailed him the color selctions, so I thought I was set. At 4am on Wednesday (the day I was supposed to have the work done), I woke up to feed the baby and decided to check my email. I saw a "failure notice" that my email did not go through. I re-emailed Terry the colors, frantic that the work could possibly be held up as he wouldnt have the paint in time for the job, which was to begin in 4 hours. Not sure what happened here, but I blame technology and not Certa Pro at all! At 7:30am, I called Terry's cell phone to ensure the email went through. He said it did and his guys would be on their way after they stop at the paint strore to pick up my colors. What a relief it was to know the work would get done that day! I was also happy that they were able to use low-VOC paint! Manuel and his crew arrived around 10am. They assured me the work would be done same day. They were all very willing to stay late to ensure I was happy. The work crew was pleasant, considerate and extremely polite. They had made sure everything was done to my specifications. One of the crew members even came and got me when he heard my Baby crying in my room (I was at the front of the house talking to a Boy Scout who came to my door selling fundraising stuff ). That was awesome. Overall, Im very pleased with the quality of work, the professionalism of the crew and the overall experience. I will be calling them again when I decide to paint the exterior.

Overall the job went well. I told Terry (franchise owner) that I was particular and knew enough to be a pain if things weren't done right. I had seen some spotty reports on Angie's list so I told him that he would save us both a lot of trouble if he put his best crew on my job. Fair warning. I was concerned about the hairline cracks in the stucco following the mortar joints of the block behind. I did not want them to come through the new finish. I had researched about elastomeric coatings, a sort of thick rubbery paint that will stretch a bit without cracking. While it is no guarantee that cracks will never come through it should help a lot. Terry said not many people go to that length but that it would certainly be one of the best solutions. The crew showed up right on time but it only took the guy about an hour to pressure wash the entire house. Granted the house didn't have a lot of mildew on it but that is pretty fast. I called Terry and he said not to worry, I would be pleased with the result. I decided to work from home during the job so I could keep an eye on things. I watched them spraying on the coating and backrolling with a roller. When they had gone all the way around I went and inspected the job. To my eye and touch the elastomeric coating did not seem any different than a coat of paint. I asked the painter about it and he said he just puts what come out of the sprayer. When I had discussed the issue with Terry he said coverage for elastomeric coatings was very low because it was so thick, about 60 sq ft per gallon which is why the price was so high. I asked the painter how many gallons it took to do the house and he said about 8. Well 8 times 60 is only 480 sq ft and my exterior is a LOT more than that. The painter saw where I was going and said he would call Terry and have him call me. Terry did call and we discussed the situation. To his credit he told his crew to put on another coat of the elastomeric coating. I could definitely tell the difference when the second coat was applied. The next day they put on the topcoat and did the trimming. When I went on my final inspection there wasn't a thing I found that was worth mentioning, it was a very good looking job. Certa Pro's price was considerably less than some of the other bids I had for the job, they use Sherwin-Williams products so they should last and if you are clear with your expectations and willing to pay attention to what they are doing you can get a good job at a reasonable price. I bumped them down a notch in professionalism because I had to monitor the job to make sure they did it the way I wanted. An "A" rated company wouldn't need me to watch them.

Certapro was very prompt in returning calls and was able to come out to our house and provide an estimate for work shortly after my initial call. Work was scheduled within a few days of the estimate. The painters arrived on time and were prepared to provide all requested services. Everyone was very pleasant, and they all worked efficiently. I appreciate the promptness and reliability. Great work, good price and great overall experience.

The job was completed very quickly and professionally. There was no mess and the work was top notch. The only concern with the job required that some screen panels on the pool cage be cut in order to for the ladder to reach the back portion of the home. I was told that they would need to cut two panels and was provided a contact for me to have the panels replaced in order to save in income tax on the replacement panels. During the work, the painter cut four panels which doubled the cost of replacing the panels and thus increased the total cost of the job.

I probably wouldn?t use them again. They are here right now. They have come back to do some repairs. They are competitively priced when compared with others. They sub-contract their work. They were late on most occasions to get started. They even painted in the rain which they shouldn?t have. There was a lot of paint that ran off which they repaired. We had to take off for a day to make sure that they did everything right. Then they painted our front door and told my wife that we could close the door after a couple of hours. She did just that and then they tried to put the blame on her when it messed up the paint. She had only done exactly what they had asked her to do. They are now repairing it. They had painted over tubs and so forth. They didn?t do a very good job in preparation either. I think they were very rushed. It wasn?t a very bad job either. They were responsive, but not timely. There was one person among them who was really professional.

This is the second time we've had them out to paint the exterior of my home. They're quick, clean up well after themselves, and use good, quality paints. I couldn't be happier with the work!

I interviewed 4 different companies to handle this job. Certa Pro wasn't the cheapest, nor the highest bid. I was impressed with Terry Beamer who gave me the estimate and I felt confident that they would do a good job. Let me state here that I am colorblind, so color selection was something that I needed assistance with. After some discussion, Terry came up with the colors that I really wanted. The job was done beautifully. The painters were combatting the afternoon rains, so it took a couple of days. Jose on the crew has called back to touch up some of the deck paint that was damaged with rain. All issues are resolved and I am just thrilled with the results. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a superior job.

EVERYONE IN THE COMPANY WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL-ESTIMATOR, CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, AND PAINTERS. PAINTERS EVEN CAME BACK ON A SATURDAY TO FINISH THE JOB. VERY GOOD WORK-EVEN DID A TOUCH UP ON OUR DOOR (WHEN WE BUMPED THE WET PAINT).

IN THE BEGINNING THERE WERE TWO PAINTERS, BUT SOON THERE WAS ONLY ONE. THEY/HE DID ALL THE PREP WORK AND PAINTING OF TWO BEDROOMS, THE KITCHEN, DEN AND MASTER BATH. ONCE THE WORK WAS DONE, WE DID AN INSPECTION. THERE WERE NUMEROUS PROBLEMS THAT REQUIRED ATTENTION. THERE WAS A PATCH OF WALLPAPER IN ONE ROOM THAT I FORGOT TO REMOVE. WHEN THE PAINTER GOT TO IT, HE JUST PAINTED OVER IT AND LEFT IT. THERE WERE ALSO NUMEROUS AREAS THAT NEEDED TOUCHUP WORK. I WAS ALSO TOLD I'D GET TWO COATS OF PAINT IN ANY AREA THAT REQUIRED IT, YET ONE BEDROOM OBVIOUSLY NEEDED A SECOND COAT AND IT WASN'T DONE. AFTER MY INSPECTION, I POINTED OUT TO THE ONLY PAINTER LEFT THE PROBLEMS I SAW. HE GRACIOUSLY DID WHATEVER WAS ASKED OF HIM TO CORRECT THE PROBLEMS. BUT THERE WAS ANOTHER MAJOR PROBLEM WE ALL HAD. THE PAINTERS ONLY SPOKE SPANISH AND I ONLY SPEAK ENGLISH. SO IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT FOR US TO COMMUNICATE. SOMETIMES I HAD TO CALL THE OFFICE AND HAVE THEM CONVEY MY COMPLAINT(S) TO THE PAINTERS.

THIS COMPANY SENT OUT ONE MAN TO DO THE EXTERIOR HOUSE. I PERSONALLY FELT TWO WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER, AS MY HOUSE IS QUITE LARGE. HE CLEANED AND PREPARED THE EXTERIOR FOR PAINTING. AFTER I DID MY INSPECTION, THERE WERE A FEW AREAS THAT REQUIRED TOUCHUP. THE PAINTER GRACIOUSLY DID WHAT WAS ASKED OF HIM WITH NO COMPLAINTS. HOWEVER, THERE WAS ONE PROBLEM WE BOTH HAD. HE ONLY SPOKE SPANISH AND I ONLY SPEAK ENGLISH. THIS PROVED TO BE DIFFICULT AT TIMES. ON A COUPLE OCCASIONS I HAD TO CALL THE OFFICE TO HAVE THEM RELATE SOMETHING TO HIM THAT I COULDN'T. THE PAINTER WAS A VERY PLEASANT MAN AND HE DID A GOOD JOB.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB. I WAS OUT OF TOWN WHEN THEY DID THE WORK AND IT WAS WONDERFUL.

I CALLED PINELLAS PHONE# AND LEFT A MESSAGE FOR AN ESTIMATE. I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A RETURN CALL. APPARENTLY, THIS COMPANY IS TOO UNORGANIZED TO RETURN PHONE MESSAGES.
