We where moving out of a storage unit as they where moving someone in. They took all the carts that are there for customer use. My elderly mother in law asked for one and was told to "chill out" and that they where laying their guys $200 an hour so we had to wait. They took the carts and unloaded them one box from each cart at a time as to intentionally keep them from freeing up. The man in charge proceeded to refer to my MIL AS some ***** on the phone to whoever he had time to talk to at $200 per hour. Then when we called to talk to their company we got an attitude of, so what??? Well, we are actually looking for a mover in the very near future, so I know who NOT to use is what. Also, no one I know will use them either. Rude people.
Description of Work: Would never hire them as they treated us horribly when working in our storage facility.

The guys were very attentive to the time factor and were able to meet the time limit so I didn't have to pay an overage. I am very grateful for that! I am hiring them again for my state to state move. They were kind and personable and made me feel very comfortable.

Please read the bad reviews written about Brothers EZ Moving before you proceed. Try Yelp, the bad reviews all have the same story. Different people with the same story. They advertise that they have professional movers, they are licensed and "fully insured" yet when damage occurs, they do nothing to make it right. Here is my story: I used this company for a small move about 1 year ago. They just moved an armoire to another room. They came on time, they were quick and polite. They offered me a discount if I gave them a good review. That is why they have so many good reviews. When we decided to move to a new house we were confident about moving with them. I made sure to tell everyone who I spoke with at Brothers that we were moving with our high-end kitchen appliances. I was told by Darryl and their salesperson Linda that they move appliances "all the time" and it wouldn't be a problem unless there was some weird hook-up. Linda came to our house to take inventory, I brought the appliances up again and also my concern for my husband's over-sized executive desk. Again I was told that the movers are professional and none of these items should be a problem for them. I asked about their insurance. They advertise that they are fully insured. I asked directly that if my property were damaged would their insurance cover the repairs? Linda said "yes". I was told that the move would cost about $1,500 to $1,700 and take 5 to 7 hours. Well, it took them 10 1/2 hours and we were left without our fridge and dishwasher. The move cost us $2,100.00.... plus...read on... On the day of the move I was asked by the team leader Mike, what was going from the items downstairs. I told him that everything was going, including the appliances. He and another guy looked at each other. The look said "Oh crap". No one told them about moving the appliances, but they said they could do it. No one knew how to disconnect the dishwasher. When a spring flew across the kitchen, and one of the guys wanted to look it up on YouTube, I told them to just leave it and move on to the rest of the stuff. After spending an hour trying to get the doors off of the fridge, they said they did not know how to do that and left it in the middle of the kitchen. They did move the stove to our new house. The day after the move I had to research and find another mover for the dishwasher and fridge($350.00) . My refrigerator cost $3,900.00 and is 5 months old. One of the doors has scratches and dents and needs to be replaced. My husband's desk is scraped up too and the staircase has gouges and scuff marks along the walls. We moved 15 days ago and so far, no one has returned a phone call ( I left 4 requests to speak with someone). I have sent 5 emails, none of them have been answered. When I call, no one who can help me is ever there. So far, this $1,500.00 move has cost us $2,550 to pay for their time and bring other movers in, repairs haven't begun yet. Again read other bad reviews. Add to list Edit

Jaclyn in the office was pleasant, informative, and responsive. Rob and Kaleb called the day before to give us a timeframe to expect them. They called the day of the move to confirm and were right on time. The move went quicker than the estimate and they set everything up. I would highly recommend Brothers EZ Moving for any local move.

Company failed to bring proper equipment to move my safe despite being reminded at confirmation call of the weight. Missed the follow up appointment to move it and are expecting me to pay to have it moved. Scheduler and representative lied and said that I listed a "medium safe" when I said "seven-hundred-pound gun safe." Now my safe is blocking passage in a rental with a lease ending.

The move was fine, but they pestered me to death afterwards. They did the job just fine. What it was, was my husband’s mother died. She was in an assisted living facility and we had to vacate her apartment rather quickly, of course. We hired them to take some of the pieces to Salvation Army and some just to bring them to our house. They did everything perfectly and efficiently. What kind of drove me nuts was that after the job I was getting phone calls every day, “Did you review? Did you review?” We were in the middle of a funeral and he knew that and that kind of drove me crazy, but the work was fine. For overall experience - I give them a “B” because of that little harassment. For the price I give them an “A” because it was an Angie’s List deal. He just didn’t understand, it was just a lack of sensitivity, and that has nothing to do with the job they did.

A few other companies that I spoke to wanted to charge me for the minimum 2 hours (>$250). Brothers EZ Moving was able to fit me in first thing in the morning and only charged me for an hour. Tyler and Troy arrived on time, wrapped the dresser with moving cloths and got the dresser up the stairs and into my bedroom within 20 minutes (it was a tight squeeze). Very good experience.
Description of Work: Brothers EZ Moving was able to help me with a small job for a fair price. I needed a rather larger dresser moved up my narrow and curved stairway.

This is a hard review to write, because at the end of the move - I felt like the guys that were working for this company did a great job with what they were given. They were friendly, prompt, and treated my home with care and respect. This is the only move where no scratches were put on the floor, and no dents in the wall... However, the company itself did these gentleman a great disservice. We were sold a great package from this company.... flat rate estimate for two trucks + supplies. The company is highly rated on social media. The woman that came out to give us an estimate was friendly, respectful, and answered all our questions. We would have two trucks, they would assemble, disassemble, we would have the same crew loading as unloading, etc. On the day of the move a crew of 5 (or 6? I can't remember now!) showed up with their two trucks and got to work. However, it was two BUDGET RENTAL trucks. The guys were a pleasure to work with. Towards the end of the move it became apparent that they were running low on supplies. They ran out of shrink wrap, and pads. We were told that the supplies they were using were provided by Budget Rental (including the dollies, and toolkits) and they weren't the best quality or quantity. They ended up using my own towels to wrap the last pieces, including my dining room table which was severely damaged during the move. (See pictures). Again, I can't hold blame on the crew... they were fantastic! But the company did not provide them with the adequate tools to do their job well. They left our home in Florida around 3 pm and managed to deliver about the same time the next day in NC. Only two guys (the drivers) arrived to unload in NC. The other crew stayed behind in FL. We were told this was because they were returning the trucks and supplies to the budget rental here in town and getting a flight home. So not only were these guys totally screwed with the equipment, they were also screwed with the unloading. These two guys had to work their tail off, all to drive two hours south again in the middle of the night, and catch an early morning flight home on a budget air carrier. I was simply aghast at how these guys were treated and expected to do their jobs. I would be very wary at hiring this company for anything more than a short distance move. We had several things break in the move, and they were all the things that were loaded last with improper padding and wrap due to inadequate supplies. We did not report any of these damages to the moving company, which is probably a mistake. Some of the damage wasn't really apparent until after the move was complete - and according to the agreement we signed, all damages had to be reported to the foreman at the end of the move. There was definitely damage to report (my dining room table is a total loss, sigh), but we didn't (I can't stress how badly we felt for this crew who worked so hard) - so I can't attest to how this company would handle a damage incident report.

Brothers EZ Moving has been so amazing! I have used them twice this past year to move to a new apartment and I will definitely use them again in the future. Overall, I had a really great experience and would recommend the company to anyone looking for high quality, afforadable movers!

Donte and Chris were very professional and hard working! It was Donte's birthday and I give him lots of credit for working **** ** his special day! They were on time (in fact, early, but didn't charge us for the extra time!) Very much appreciate of their time and help! Darryl was a pleasure to work with over the phone in scheduling. The only thing I would have wanted differently is to have set the time-frame for the arrival in advance. I asked for an early appointment (and to their credit - they gave me the first window which was b/w 7am-8am!) However, we couldn't pick up the Uhaul until 8am - so we really needed the arrival more like 8:30am....we worked around it the day-of and as I mentioned above, we were not charged for the extra time. Thanks!

Brandon was phenomenal. Despite the small hiccup of a new hire quitting, Brandon still persevered and completed a two-man job on his own. Eric, Donte, Darnell & Rashawn were an AMAZING crew. They showed up on time. Very professional in their appearance & demeanor. Eric, the crew leader, asked questions & we did a walk thru before they guys started loading stuff up. I got 1 quote that was a bit less in price than Brothers EZ Moving, but I went with Brothers because I liked that I could hire a 4 man crew. I also liked that they sent out a rep, Lynda K., to see what furniture I had & give me an estimate in person. I also chose them because my cousin referred Brothers to me as she had used them for her move. Positive personal experience from a family member was the final, deciding factor for me. I was more than pleased with Brothers! I was very well prepared for the move so we got in done in about an 1-1.5 hrs less than the originally quoted time. But I can't say enough about the guys. They all had a GREAT attitude. We were all joking around. They communicated very well amongst themselves & with my husband & I. None of the items moved were damaged or broken in transit. Eric summed it up best when he said: "Your move is my move, so we want it done right!" I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for moving services!

This was by far my best experience with a moving company. Darryl was extremely helpful during the initial call. He reassure me that their would be no additional fees besides the rates we discussed, as I've been burnt in the past. Michael, Troy, Matthew, and Devin arrived excited to get started even though I had a later move, and they had a more difficult than expected move before me. They hustled as if they were just as concerned about the hourly rate as I was and they finished an hour and a half sooner than I expected. They were extremely careful with my belongings and my freshly painted walls at my new house. I would highly recommend them to anyone!!!

I wish I can go back and never have spoken to this awful company. Any of you that have scheduled with them, cancel and save your money. Go with some other moving companies. They are very good at taking your money but extremely poor when there are issues. They don't want to deal with you or give a **** about you.
Description of Work: My move was scheduled for May 25, 2017 and there were 4 moving men. I was quoted $970.50 but I end up paying $1318. I did pay but found out they had damaged my wall, staircase and door. This is a brand new unit. In addition to that, two of the queen beds were not installed properly. Found loose screws underneath the bed. My daughter couldn't sleep on her bed since the frame is not installed properly and loose side panels as well. I called and sent 3 email with pictures from the move, but no response from them. Left voice mail as well, still no response. Got a response from the claim office on May 29 (4 days later) because I told them I had canceled the check. He was rude , called me a name and hang up on me. He even told me he will sue me, I told him to go ahead. The worst customer service I ever experience in my life and I just moved from Dubai 2 yrs ago and it was wonderful from an International moving company. Coming back to the US, i expected a better customer service but was disappointed that things have not changed that much for 7 yrs. Things still the same, customer service still suck here. Or is it just this moving company who has no idea what the true meaning of customer service. Let me tell you something, you are not the only moving company in Florida. There are dozen of you here. For sure I will never use you or recommend you in any ways or forms. I don't even want to see any of you in my home, but I don't mind meeting you in court.

Summary: If you look at reviews for this company, they are excellent. In order to protect your wallet, please be cautious. The movers who completed the job were great to work with, aside from dropping my mother-in-law’s piano down a set of stairs (truly hope the mover is okay). The front desk, however, quoted me a fixed hourly rate with no service fee. When it came time to pay, they slipped on a $100 service fee. When I questioned this, I was treated terribly by two different individuals in their office. If you go with this company, PLEASE print a copy of your quote when you receive it. They update their quotes in real-time, as they are a link to a cloud-based server. If you don’t print your quote, you will have no proof that you have been scammed. I sincerely hope they enjoy the additional $100 they swindled from my 77 year-old mother-in-law. The only reason I am giving a D rating overall is because of the customer service provided by the actual movers. The Movers: The movers were very professional and courteous. They started at 9 AM and finished around 11 AM for a job that the office thought would take 1.5 hours. I understand that it can be difficult to estimate without an actual inventory, especially in the hot Florida sun. The only issue we had with the movers themselves was that they dropped my mother-in-law’s piano down a flight of stairs. This unfortunately resulted in an ugly break to the toe of one of the mover’s. We were actually more concerned about him than the piano, and are unsure at this point if there was any damage to the piano. We are hoping not. They got a replacement mover in place within approximately 30 minutes (much appreciated), but they did not feel comfortable attempting to move the piano up the stairs again. At that point, my husband offered to just move it into the garage of our own home to save anyone else from injury. Had we known they would not be able to move the piano, we would have gone with a different company. Now, we will have to pay a separate company to complete that portion of the move. The Office: When I initially talked to the gentleman at Brothers, I explained that we were moving my mother-in-law from a one-bedroom apartment to a two-bedroom within the same complex. I shared that the move would include an upright piano up one flight of stairs, which he said would be no problem. He was very friendly and professional, and stated that we could pay a flat rate of $125/hour for 2 movers, and $33 per additional 15-minute increment. I asked if they charge a service fee, as a competitor had just quoted the same amount, but with an additional $80 for use of their truck. The gentleman said that, no, they did not charge any additional amount beyond the hourly rate. He promised to e-mail me a quote, which he did. I opened the quote and looked for the correct date, address, and that the items I mentioned (especially the piano) were listed. My husband is certain that the $100 service fee was not on the quote at that time. Not only did I recap my conversation about the phone estimate with my hubby, he also reviewed the e-mailed quote, which I forwarded to him that same day. On the moving day, after the piano was dropped, we were told that $62.50 would be deducted from the bill to account for the 30-minute pause. Since the move lasted 2.5 hours, this would total $312.50 ($125 x 3 hours = $375 - $62.50 for 30 minutes). Once they were done, the movers presented us with a bill for $475!! Come to find out, they did not deduct the $62.50, AND they tacked on a $100 service fee. After talking to the front office, the movers got the $62.50 deducted, and stated that the office would be calling about the $100 service fee. I received a call within a few minutes from the same gentleman who provided the quote. He said very sternly, “I know I told you about the fee”, and “I’m sorry you forgot”. He would not listen to me, and was incredibly rude. He stated that it was in the estimate, that I opened it shortly after he sent it, and accepted it. I opened up the e-mailed estimate with him on the phone, but it was now a bill with the final amount – no longer the original estimate!! When I continued to question the situation, he had their office manager call me. She said rather sternly that she heard I refused to pay the bill. This was NOT the case, I just wanted to pay what we were quoted. She became aggressive, was talking loudly over me (practically yelling), and condescending to me about the math. She said that if we did not pay soon, the clock would continue and we would be charged more since the movers were waiting for payment!! This has to be about the worst customer experience I’ve ever had. I was polite up to this point, and then said a few choice words to the woman and hung up. I felt disrespected, and reacted accordingly. I cannot see why they couldn’t talk through things professionally, as I had up to that point. They completely scammed us, and are getting away with an additional $100. We did not even get an apology from the office about the piano being dropped, and not moved into the apartment. The movers should be running the office, as they were amazingly professional and kind from start to finish. I just hope the workers are treated better than the customers.
Description of Work: We needed my mother-in-law moved from a 1-bedroom first floor apartment to a 2-bedroom second floor apartment within the same complex. The move included an upright piano, a bed, 2 dressers, a sleeper sofa, several smaller pieces of furniture, and boxes.
