Brothers EZ Moving

We went with Brothers as they had a reasonable hourly rate & had mostly good reviews on Angie's List. They were very friendly & easy to work with upfront. The crew themselves were very polite, friendly, and careful with our furniture. They were 3 young guys and very willing to work and help out any way they could. Unfortunately, they took entirely too long to load our modestly sized household goods (7+ hours!) and did not even get everything on the truck (causing us to make several additional trips ourselves). We observed the following issues with Brothers. 1. The truck itself is not comparable to a U-Haul 26 ft truck and thats if you buy that it is a 26' ft truck. I have my doubts but did not bother to unpack my tools to get the measuring tape out to prove it. The inside of the truck is more narrow & lower than a Penske truck if you are familiar with the different rental truck companies so loading this truck is no simple task if you are likely to fill it. 2. The crew was not very experienced with loading a truck when its likely to be at full capacity. This is partially the problem with item 1 above since it is always easier & quicker to load a truck thats slightly larger than needed. 3. The crew also did not make use of a hand truck causing repeated 1 box trips back & forth. This likely made no difference in the end as the loading/stacking of the truck was the long pole in the tent. 4. I'm not sure why they didn't make more use of the wider & easier to navigate front door in both locations. They seemed to prefer the garage entry regardless of whether the boxes & furniture fit very well thru it. All in all, I have to say it was an extremely disappointing experience. We talked with Gary who agreed to cap us at 8 hours of time (plus the extra travel hour) but honestly this should have been a 5 hour job for 3 men, no problem. I'm not sure what kind of excuse they feel is reasonable for the longer than anticipated load time for such a (relatively) small house but we are pretty experienced movers ourselves & knew what a moving crew would & would not be able to handle reasonably (i.e. so we made sure everything was packed in boxes with the only loose items being garage items like bicycles...which didnt make it on the truck anyway). This company is probably very good at small apartment, small office, or condo moves but not single family homes larger than 1500 sq ft in my opinion. As I noted earlier, they were very polite & not a question of reasonable effort. But in the end, we would have been better off getting 4-6 guys off Craigslist & renting our own truck for all the hassle this was to deal with. And the overall price of 3 guys for 8 hours (billed, they actually took 10) was not a reasonable showing for this standard, run of the mill, SF move. UPDATE: To be clear....7 to 9 hours for 2 men was the original estimate and this was consistent with other company quotes as well. We went with 3 men so that the job would be completed sooner...not in 10 hours. It is not your customer's fault that you do not update your timelines when loading additional men to the job. As noted previously....good company for small jobs. Not an adequate setup for medium to large SF home moves.

On time and was able to take all of the items. Be sure to read the fine print about $40 charge for disposal.

Great job. Though they arrived a little late, they worked through the whole day and made sure everything was carefully unloaded. They had a positive attitude and were polite and service-minded. I would definitely use them again.

They showed up and got everything done well. They took their time to make sure everything was wrapped up and secured appropriately. They are doing a great job and are delivering Sunday.

the actual guys that moved me were AWESOME!! nice, professional, good sense of humor!! they were a great team and I would recommend them to anyone. the entire time we were together was 11 hours!! long, hot, sweaty, yet they maintained their optimism even when I wanted to it all to end:) i hope not to have to move again in the very near future, but they bouyed me up and did such an excellent job of wrapping all of the big furniture and there were no snafus or damages!!

It worked out good. They are great. They are on time and everything is good. They just showed up and then they hauled it out and I had paid them and they left. I would use them again.

The services provided to me by Brothers EZ Moving were all right. They were fine. I have no complaints about them. It was a little difficult to get in touch with them, because the owner was on vacation, their voice mailbox was full and there was no alternate means for me to get into contact with them. Eventually, one of the employees called back, a day or two later.

The move went fine. But the Angie's List Big Deals are a big ripoff. There are SO many catches and fine print, I'll never use another one. This should have cost $199 but it cost more than twice that and the original quote was for 3 times that price!!! It was disappointing to say the least.

As expected - need a rolling dolly!

Tyrell and Jeremie arrived on time and worked hard during the entire move. I'm not sure if they ever even took a break other than to drink some water. None of my furniture or electronics were damaged. They also rearranged furniture when my wife and I didn't like the initial layout. Additionally they disassembled our beds at the start and assembled them once at the new house. They were very professional and friendly. I called around to various moving companies and Brothers EZ Moving had the lowest hourly rates and great reviews on the BBB and Angie's List.

Picked up old trash cans, broken steamer, broken fan and some odds and end stuff.

It went ok. When they came for the job and realized more help would be needed, none was available. Ultimately the job was done about 60 percent of what I wanted done.

Very professional, on time, and even volunteered to tear down items we were getting rid of. The owner (Gary) called me the next day to make sure I was satisfied with their service, this is not very common anymore but just goes to show you that they believe in customer service. This is the second time I have used them and will definitely use their services again.

My in-laws packed up all of their belongings and moved to the Seffner area. They had planned to unpack slowly with our help, but we both work full-time and have three young kids. The trailer from ABF would be picked up in 3 days. I was worried, so I called Gary's team and at the last minute he found a three-person crew for us (the fourth was not available). We paid by the hour - I believe it took about 5 hours. They did report some broken items, but there's bound to some causalities. This team of guys worked hard. I'm thankful to Gary for helping us out and help make my in-laws transition a smooth one!

They were to arrive but called to let us know the truck had mechanical problems and they would get it fixed and be out later. Then they called to let us know they would be here about 5 hrs. late. During all this they let us know what was going on at all times. Things like this can happen to anyone but it was nice they kept calling to let us know how everything was standing. They ended up using a different type of truck and took everything we had. They loaded it and got it gone very quickly and were very nice. The next day they called to ask if we were happy with the service. They follow up was nice. People don't do that any more. The cost included the dump fee and a fee for taking the paint cans (a lot of paint cans).

Not good. Was told that they don't like to come so far from home base, but thought they had other work in the area soon and would get back in touch within the week. They never called.

We hired Brothers EZ Moving to move all our stuff from our old house to our new one, a distance of about 5 miles. Our old house was approximately 2,000 square feet, and I would describe the size of the load as medium. They offered a discount to Angie's List members, and the rate they originally quoted ($729) seemed reasonable. Two young men arrived late and told us that they were not able to get the truck they had planned and had to bring a smaller truck. This would cause the job to take longer and raise the price to $1,170. They also did not bring the large hand truck they promised (because that was with the other truck), so they had to lift and carry some of our larger pieces by hand. In the process, they banged things into walls and door frames and put several large scratches in the top of our wooden kitchen table. The whole event required several trips. Well after dark, they had not returned from one trip, and we had to go out to get dinner, forcing us to leave the house unlocked for them. They did not finish until late at night, which meant we had to get up early the next morning to perform the cleanup of the old house that we had intended to do the night before. They did give us some quilts to use with the things we had to move ourselves, but the whole experience was a true nightmare.

We could not have been more pleased with our move. One of the reasons we choice Brothers movers was that we were assured that the same people who loaded our furniture would be the same people unloading. We did know that the packers would be a separate crew then the loaders. Even so, it was apparent they all worked well together and the packers were well aware of what the movers would need the next day. Everyone employed by Brothers EZ Movers was courteous, polite, friendly and professional. It was apparent they enjoyed their job and even though they were working hard, they still managed to have fun. They were aware of our children, engaging them in appropriate conversation, which helped make the days to be exciting rather then stressful for the children. Day one: Packing our house. Everything was packed well and efficiently. Every piece of furniture was blanked and wrapped. The crew knew that storage would be tight and made sure they did everything to condense our belongs. Anything that could be taken apart was, with every screw and nut put back in its place. We had quite a few antiques, which were handled with care, as well as a piano and a few tricky pieces. The basketball hoop gave them a run for the money, but eventually they had it disassembled and ready to load. Day 2: The trucks were loaded. Again, everyone made the day progress smoothly and efficiently. Gary; the company owner, Paul, Brian, Danny, and Rob loaded our trucks and made the trip North to unpack. It was apparent the relationship between Gary and his workers was easygoing while respectful. We were also impressed with the professional packing ability which enabled them to fit all our belongings into the 2 trucks. In the 24 hour drive North, nothing shifted out of place. Unloading in MA was quick and efficient. Watching them fit a truck full of belongs into a storage unit was impressive. Furniture was moved into the house and boxes placed in the right rooms. Anything that needed to be assembled was taken care of; any boxes we unpacked during the day were cleared and brought to the recycling bin. They even went through each room at the end of the day to make sure everything was placed where we wanted it. Moving a family can be quite a stressful event, Brothers EZ Moving took our worries and stress away. Our only complaint is, we were so impressed with them that we will probably have to fly the crew back up to MA to help us move to our permanent housing.

While they were able to squeeze me in on short notice on a holiday weekend, it was a disaster. They gave me a window of 12:00 to 2:00 PM for the movers to show up. They showed up at 5:30 PM and it was two exhausted young men moving slower than molasses in January. I did not have have them move anything that was not on the list I provided when I was quoted 3 hours of packing and 3 hours of moving. I was not in my new house until 2:30 in the morning. The movers broke an expensive floor lamp and scratched the floors to the point my soon to be ex husband is demanding the I pay to replace the floor at my old house. They also broke the top off my desk and the bottom drawer of my lateral file cabinet. The bill was $230 more than I was quoted. When I expressed my discontent, Josh at Brother EZ Moving said he would refund the difference. He never did.

It took them about 10 hours to complete the work. The three young men didn't come prepared and didn't bring the right tools (i.e. no dolly, belts, or buckles to keep things in place on the truck).I felt they didn't know what they were doing and I had to tell them everything. They didn't line the furniture with enough blankets like I asked to keep from damaging the furniture due to shifting. My husband and I couldn't speak with someone of authority. Finally around 5 PM another person showed up and moved the stuff into the truck. Half of the stuff was left off the truck because they didn't know how to load it.

They were great. It was an extra $100, but they had quoted that before they did it. I would use them again.

Brother's Moving was fantastic. Let's be honest moving company experiences are rather sketchy and depend a lot on who they send out. Alex, Juan, and Tyrell were fantastic. Not only did they do a great job (strong, fast, punctual, and hard working), they were just plain pleasant to be around. They were all smiles as they worked and it made the whole experience fantastic. I would have been ok with spending a premium for the kind of service they provided, but on top of everything they were very inexpensive $299 (26' Penske truck, 3 guys, and 3 hours of work - they didn't include drive time to location and from location). No surprise fee's either just $299. I will be personally moving homes later this year and I will be requesting Alex, Juan and Tyrell and using Brother's Moving. Thanks guys!

All was done in a cheerful, timely, courteous, careful manner. They expertly handled our things as if they were their own. Very pleased with the service before, during, and after. Would definitely hire Brothers EZ Movers in the future. I am fairly new to Angie's List. I purchased a coupon for this service and saved about $250 overall. Thank you.

Reasonably priced, two guys came out and hit it all day, and they both were excellent.

The crew of 3 started off strong and were friendly. However later in the day they started shortcutting; boxing my household stuff, wrapping my furniture, and did not seem to appreciate how pack the PODS to minimize damage to the contents. When I unpacked my PODs many of the cardboard boxes had been crushed and the contents damaged, my dining room chairs were deeply scratched from being thrown in the PODs haphazardly. They were courteous and friendly however the real test of how well they packed my household goods was how well they made the move.
