Brothers EZ Moving came out and they were wonderful. I would give them an A++ on Angie's List if that were possible. They did everything I asked of them and more. They were very nice gentlemen and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

Brothers EZ Moving did a wonderful job front start to finish with our entire move starting from booking our dates. From the office staff to the hands-on workers they did exactly as we requested without hassle or interruptions. Our move was going to an oversized 5 bedroom home to a down-sized 4 bedroom house and they were still able to move everything with ease.I can see why they are so highly rated on AngiesList and will use them again if needed.

We were scheduled for the movers to arrive at 1 p.m. They called first thing in the morning and offered an earlier time slot since they had a cancellation, but due to our work schedules, we declined and kept our scheduled time of 1 p.m. The movers, although they called and said they were running late from a previous job, didn't show up until 2+ hours later than our scheduled time. I'm understanding of delays but this cut into our time schedule, especially with respect to picking up our children. Nonetheless, when they arrived, three young men, they were cordial and receptive to our instructions. We were only moving our large furniture. We had already broken down the pieces, they just needed to be moved. We were told by the lead that everything would be wrapped. Since I was packing other items, I did not watch the movers wrap or move each piece. There were items wrapped and covered, but I can not say they all were, which is why my review comes out on the low side. After the movers unloaded all the furniture at the new house, they left. They did not offer to go over each item moved to determine if there was any damage. At the time they were leaving, I was returning from picking up my children. I should have known better than to let them leave without looking at each piece. As we were putting the furniture together at our new home, we notice multiple scratches in our furniture. And I am not talking about little scratches, some so large there were chunks of wood removed. We traveled less than a 10 mile radius, which amazes me that almost every item them moved had a scratch. Saddened and frustrated by this, I sent a text to the driver expressing my regrets. He sent a message back stating that everything was wrapped and in good condition when they delivered it. I have no problem accepting my flaws and mistakes, especially if I was the one to ruin my furniture. But I was not surprised that his response didn't even offer an apology or form of solution. In all the times I have moved, I have never had a good experience with professional movers....but in all the times I have moved myself with a rented uHaul, I haven't had the damage to my furniture and belongings as I have had with professional movers. Clearly, an indication that moving companies don't value customer service and valuing what they were moving was their own. My advice to anyone else who would use this company.......watch....direct.....check and double check. Don't make the mistake I did and allow them to leave without inspecting every item for damage. And with that being said, go over every item with them before packing to show there was or wasn't any damage to begin with.

It went okay. It wasn't perfect. We were kind of frustrated with them because we kept telling them to put the big things in first. They said, "No, no. We've done this before and we ended up not being able to get everything in the truck." They worked hard. They were on time but they didn't take their actions very well.

Brothers E-Z Moving did a great job wrapping our furniture and loading 2 semi-trailers for our move from Tampa to the Chicago area. Shea did a wonderful job in the office coordinating everything and promptly answering my emails. We were pleased when Gary came out to take a detailed inventory on what we were moving. It was important to us that they give us an accurate estimate because we did not want any negative surprises regarding the actual, final cost. The initial estimate came in very high. I was impressed by Gary, the pictures on their web site and the testimonials, so I told Gary?s that I felt it was way too many hours. He responded that he always estimates on the high end and does not try to give the best case. After I explained the prep work we would be doing, he responded that he thought his crew of 6 could get it done in four hours. Because we had contracted another company to transport our goods, we purchased 100 moving blankets on Craig?s list. (If anyone tells you, you need less than 100 blankets for a cross country move of a 2300 square foot, four bedroom home, pick another mover!) The morning of the move, we got a call from Rob, the crew chief at 8:30 asking if it was alright if they came at 8:50, ten minutes before the scheduled time. They did a quick walk around to get an overall picture of the move and then went right to work. These guys were amazing! They wrapped our furniture in the blankets and then professional grade shrink wrap. Our move was somewhat complicated because we had to segregate the load to go to two different locations. We used special colored Duck Brand Tape we bought at Home Depot to mark the items that were going to the second location. For this part of the move, I would give this crew a B- grade. There were a large number of items that should have been loaded first on the first trailer, but ended up on the second trailer for which we contracted just 9 feet. The final item that was missed off trailer #1, and loaded last on trailer #2, was an extension ladder that measured 12?. There was no way to get this on the first trailer because it was jamb packed floor to ceiling, front to back...literally all the way to the back door. Other than this minor slip up, these guys were amazing! They moved very quickly. The morning started with a light drizzle, which half way through the loading, turned into a downpour. The crew did not miss a step. They powered on and the rain did not slow them down a bit. They packed the full trailer very tightly. Due to the nature of the items that made up the remaining 9 feet on the second trailer, not as tight. There is only so much you can do to tightly pack a lawn mower, gas grill, fertilizer spreader, patio chairs and an elliptical machine. In conclusion, I highly recommend this moving company. They did a great job wrapping and protecting our furniture and packing those trucks. BTW, regarding Gary?s time estimate, they clocked in at 8:50 and clocked out at 12:52. Rob was gracious in giving us the additional 2 minutes above the four hour estimate. Oh, and the moving blankets, they used 99 of the 100. I used the last to put our plants on in the back seat.

I called around to get prices for movers and by far, Brothers EZ moving was the best price. Also, Shea who answers the phones, schedules your appointments, and works with you on the details is very nice and professional. We had an entire house of furniture to move which included 2 living rooms, a dinning room, 2 children's rooms, and our bedroom. We had a lot of pieces (as mentioned above) and it was all very heavy good quality furniture. We did not have them move any boxes, all furniture. While I was expecting the movers to be "bigger" (lol) and older, considering the amount of weight they would be lifting and the profession in general, they did a great job and worked very hard to make sure everything was wrapped and protected prior to the move. The move did take 1 hour longer than planned but that was understandable given the amount of furniture we had and it was only 2 movers. They had to move most of the heaviest pieces upstairs and they did a great job at balancing everything, and working hard to not damage our furniture or the walls or new flooring of our new house which I was also concerned about. Upon delivery, there was one accident where a couch slipped and scratched up our oak table top. The movers said they would come back the next day to fix but in the event they didn't, to call the office to report the incident and they would coordinate getting it fixed (I thought they way this was handled was quite strange and a bit unprofessional but I was not standing there at the time and my husband just said "ok" and agreed). My husband gave them both a $20 tip and thanked them for their help. No one showed up the next day to fix (as I expected) so I called the office and spoke to Shea who is always very nice and explained the incident to her and sent her pictures of the scratches. Fortunately, my husband being a wood worker and had just finished resealing this table top only a month ago would be able to fix it ourselves IF in exchange, they could move our treadmill (from the old house to the new house) and upstairs since it was overlooked during the original move at not additional cost. They agreed and the treadmill was moved and delivered at no additional cost on the date and time we had agreed upon. It all worked out perfectly and it was well worth the money we spent to have our entire house of furniture moved for us.
Description of Work: Moved our entire house furniture (excluding boxes) which included queen size bed, dresser, hutch, mirror, 2 twin beds, 2 chests, 2 couches, 2 loveseats, dinning room table, hutch, 6 chairs, 2 large flat screen TV's, entertainment center, and treadmill.

Four of their movers came as planned to start the packing for our move to MD. They were all very nice and personable, so all was going well on that end, they easily accommodated our requests and packed a couple extra items for us. Three days later, we had them scheduled to unpack our things in MD. They have one person who handles their out of state moves (Rob), he is part of the packing crew, drives the truck, and then manages the unpacking. He was very good on all accounts, and if the workers on the unloading were all like him things would have been fine. As a side note, we tipped the men who handled the packing end, and even with the horrendous unpacking experience in MD, we still tipped Rob very well since we could see he was getting very flustered, and didn't know how to go about fixing all the problems that kept arising. The issue is that they contract out other men from moving companies in the destination city. Unfortunately, this is where things fell apart. Aside from Rob, they use 3 other local men (that they found on Craigslist, Angies List, etc) to help with the unpacking. One person didn't show up until a couple hours into the move, and one person showed up drunk to a point he had trouble talking. He was stumbling everywhere, banging into walls, and tripped outside numerous times while he was carrying boxes, all of this in front of our new neighbors. He also kept complaining that his arm and leg hurt, so I'm not sure why they would even schedule this man to work a 3-4 hour move. Then somehow, this same person ended up cutting himself, and he actually bled all over our front door, the floors and carpet in our new house, our newly painted white walls and several belongings. Later we found that he helped himself to half of one of our 2 liters of soda in the fridge (we had no cups, so you can guess how that was consumed). He also fell in the mud outside of the house, and drug that in on the floors and walls. This guy should have been sent home at the start, and this may have been recoverable. Many items were left on our ground floor, although everything was clearly labeled for proper rooms. My wife was 32 weeks pregnant at the time, so this was not acceptable. One of our dressers broke, which they claimed was from the weight of the contents inside, yet later I saw the main supports were cracked in half which could only have resulted from being dropped. Later we found scratches on numerous items, broke our son's play table, scuffed our walls by stacking boxes against them like they were packing a truck, and left dirty handprints all over the walls. We've moved quite a few times (using another company that only handles local moves in FL), so we understand that scuffs and scratches happen, but this experience was unacceptable. A few days later, we contacted the owner, Gary, to try to work something out, but all he had to offer was taking off $165 off of another move that we had originally planned on using them for in FL for our vacation home. All I see this as is a guarantee to get more business from us. Aside from that, he was completely unwilling to work with us in any way. He basically said that since they did pack & unpack us on time, that's all they can guarantee. His email to me must have been copy/pasted from a template they have for any negative feedback bc it was all word for word that they sent to other unhappy customers. After sending the owner all the pictures of the scuffs, handprints, broken furniture, and blood stains, I never heard from him again after emailing him aksing for a response. Needless to say, I will not use this company in the future nor will I recommend them to anybody that I know.

John and Josh called ahead, letting me know when they'd be there. They arrived on time, covered my furniture with blankets and shrink wrap, and packed the truck they provided. Once the house was packed (in just under 1.5 hrs), they drove our belongings to the new house 1.1 miles away. Unpacking and placing everything from the truck took another 1.5 hrs. They put the beds back together and placed all the furniture exactly where we wanted it. They also had time to help us unload a POD storage unit. Josh and John were very professional and courteous. Our belongings were treated very gently and they were very diligent getting everything into the 2nd story bonus room. They cleaned up and afterwards, we never would have known they were there. We will use Brothers EZ Moving again!

The move did not meet my expectations for an Angie's list A rated company. I've used primarily Angies A list service providers for the past few years and always had a super service experience. I contacted several Angie's list moving companies for an estimate to move my house. I was moving a one bedroom house to another home in the Tampa area. I needed to move a treadmill and a hot tub, which some companies did not want to move. First the pros, I was contacted by Shea from EZ brothers who was very polite and professional. She had me walk through an inventory of my house and told me it sounded like a simple move. She said they could handle the hot tub and treadmill. She thought the angies list deal for 2 movers for 3 hours would be fine. After speaking to several other movers who recommended 3 movers to handle the hot tub, I called her back and told her I was concerned they would not be able to move everything including the hot tub within the 3 hours. She spoke with her manager and came back with a revised offer of 3 movers for 3 hours for $345. She told me not to worry everything would be fine. I agreed to schedule the move with them. She told me she thought it would go very fast and not to worry. Please note, they sent me a quote, which I accepted online. I did not review it well enough as they left the hot tub off (even thought Shea and I spoke about it twice on the phone and used Angie list messenger, where it is also mentioned). The movers showed up early. They were very polite and nice. Although they say they provide 4 dollys, my movers didn't have them. They said their manager uses them for the big moves. Thus, in my opinion, my move took longer because they move everything by hand. The movers used should shoulder straps to carry everything including the heavy items. They said the hot tub wasn't on their quote, which I reviewed and to my surprise it wasn't. They worked very hard and were very nice throughout the move. When it came to move the treadmill, one mover worked on it for a very long time. he could not figure out how to disassemble the treadmill. He said he didn't have the correct wrench for the treadmill. I had to contact my handyman and have him loan his wrench. After everything else was packed (including the hot tub, which ended up being fine), he still couldn't figure out how to get it out of the door. He asked me what he should do. I advised him that I wasn't a mechanical person (which is why I hired movers) and that he should call his boss and ask him for direction as this one thing was using up a big portion of my moving time. The three movers tried positioning the treadmill differently and then it broke. I then suggested again they call their boss. We waited while he called his boss. The message he gave back to me (from his boss Gary) was that they shouldn't have been moving a treadmill to begin with, they didn't know about the hot tub (not correct) and he should continue trying to do the same thing to move the treadmill. Obviously, the mover did not know how to move the treadmill so continuing to have him work on it was not productive. At no point in this process did his boss Gary call me. As the move was already over the three hours, I told them to just head over to my new house. The movers felt badly they broke the treadmill and apologized. The move went over an hour mainly because of the time wasted on the treadmill. My fiance spoke with Gary and told him he should pay to repair the treadmill and not charge us for the extra hour. Needless to say, we did not receive great customer service from him. Gary insisted we pay the full amount and said we could contact him afterwards for a repair. We did not feel like he was apologetic or professional. We have nothing in writing that he will pay for the repair so I'm not going to schedule it just yet. As I my things had to be out of the old house, I had to pay my handyman to move the treadmill on top of the costs I had to pay Brothers EZ moving. He figured out how to move it in 1 minute, where Gary's team could not. My issue was not with the team, it was that when they contacted him, Gary didn't provide them any guidance or assistance to help them with the issue. He certainly didn't help me and make the move smooth or "EZ." I agree with another reviewer that their big deal is not what it seems. I feel like they under quoted my job and then they charge you for extra time. My move was this past Saturday. I have not been contacted by Gary since. I would certainly advise any other Angies list customer not to use this company. My issues is not that they broke my treadmill. Unforeseen things happen on any move. It was that the owner or boss handled things so unprofessionally. If you do use this company, make sure you review your quote carefully and insist that they bring dollys and the appropriate tools. I waited until the Tuesday after our move. I was not contact by Gary, the owner. I called him and informed him of who I was and he acknowledged that he heard about the broken treadmill. He asked me what I wanted. I responded that I wanted a refund for the hour his workers spend unsuccessfully trying to take apart the treadmill and for him to pay to fix the treadmill. What followed was 10 minutes of Gary talking at me. I felt like I was being attacked by him. There was no customer service orientation and no apology for the experience was offered. I told him we should table the conversation and he could call me back when thought about what he could do to fix the situation. I've never heard back from him! I initially picked this company because they were A rated. After my experience, I looked through the reviews and there were quite a few "F"s. I see the commentary from Gary each time and he blames it on the customer. My experience was similar to the other F reviews on Angie's. Do not use this company!!!!

The company was really very good to work with. Unfortunately they had a few mechanical issues to get straight. Truck trouble, lost keys, etc. it took a few calls to get an actual date set up and actually get them on site. HOWEVER, for this type of business in particular, they tried so hard to please. That in itself was what impressed me the most. I've been to 5 star hotels that didn't go so far to help me get what I needed.

They were to pack, move and unload our belongings and were contracted for three days. Since they inefficiently loaded the furniture first and boxes last they had to put all the boxes in the garage in order to unload furniture. Before they were able to bring the boxes into the house the owner said we have to leave for another job, when i contested this he said "well I have to make money don't I". They were to come back on the third day for 5 hours of unpacking but because they left all the boxes in the garage and therefore had to bring them into the house we lost one and a half hours of unpacking time. Furthermore THEY BROKE OUR 40" HD TELEVISION. They refuse to take responsibility for it. I called several times hoping to resolve the matter of the TV but I kept getting the runaround. Finally on the forth day after our move my husband called and the owner stated there are some risks in moving and never called again. Also when we began to unpack ourselves we found that many of the boxes were mislabeled or a room was put on the box and not the contents. Which has made it that much more difficult to unpack. In summary they were inefficient, irresponsible and lacking in any sort of professionalism.

Response from Brothers EZ Moving
Hello an thank you for for taking the time to write this review.Let establish some details. #1. We were early or on time on each of these three days. How did we get a B on punctuality? #2 You did not pay $2300 you paid $2200 which by the way was predetermined so why did you give us a B on price if you knew what it was before we started? #3. This was not a flat rate. The first two days were hourly and the last day was for five hours of unpacking with two movers witch I told you would not unpack the entire house but would cover the kitchen and maybe a couple more rooms. We show up with the contract that you excepted online as a hourly job and you refused to honor it. Rather then walk away I told my movers to go ahead and do the move because this move was set up over a month ago and we couldn't fill the dates. It wasnt that big of a deal because the estimate I gave was very honest. The only reason we do not like to give flat rates is because of how differently certain customer act on a flat rate compared to an hourly rate. Example- on flat rates we will sometime move furniture four or five time an the customers request on hourly rates they are not so picky. Don't get me wrong we love the job and appreciate the business and will move your furniture as many time as you want it but there is a big difference when certain costumers that are not paying buy the hour. #4. Day one was flawless. I sent Josh and Tara to completely pack everything that was big enough for a box in a box. They completed this part of the job perfectly with no problems. I personally showed up on this day and you told me how thrilled you were on how things were going except that we kept on packing things that you didnt want use to pack even though we were there to do a pack job where everything got packed. Advice- Maybe you should have told us not to pack certain items before we packed them and had to go through halve the boxes to find them. But no big deal right because you pushed your way into a flt rate. #5 The TV that we packed did have a box that you provided but it did not have the proper foam that normally comes with it. I told you on the day I came to do you estimate that we advise that T.V.'s go in a box and you told me that you would take care of it. We blanketed and shrink wrapped the T.V put is in your box and secured it in the truck. We move t.v's everyday even across the country thousands of miles and this is the first the anyone has ever told me that one was damaged. We did not drop it. We packed the best we could with the materials that you provided. #6. On the day we moved you we were right on time again We have four movers and myself there to load everything into our truck. Loading went fine we had everything loaded quickly and efficiently. When we got to the new house and you were completely stressed out and yelling about everything. We moved you couch and coffee table about six different time with out hesitating. We did put your boxes in the garage so they would be easy to go through and they wouldn't be in the way of us putting your furniture in place. they were well organized and all label facing out so your could see them. You specifically told us you did not want to do any unpacking this day and I told you that it was ok with me because we had another job after this one. That infuriated you. That when you really started to talk down to use and even call one of my movers stupid. I really cant believe the way you talk to your husband who tried to defend us.. my heart goes out to his having to hear that everyday. After the truck was emptied I sent three of my movers to the new job and me and my other mover finish about ten minutes of what was left. #7. When my movers returned on time on day three you had them start in the closets put things away. My foreman called me to tell me that you were making them move the same things over and over. I told him to remind you that you were only getting five hours of unpacking and you quickly let them get to work. Just a note- You give 66% of the company's a F grade when you use them according to your Angie's list reviews. I feel bad that your outlook on life and the people that you come into contact with fail you so much. I cant imagine how that must feel. I apologize for your dissatisfaction with my company.
