Action Lock & Safe

They were good. He was a guy and concerned about my safety. He gave me a few tips on things that I should pay attention to and that was good. He did what he was supposed to do. I had him check all the doors and make sure that my key worked. He made sure that everything was okay before he left. He didn't leave until I was satisfied. The price was more than I expected but I did not do a price check and don't know how to compare it. I will do some price checking if I need such a service again.

It was fine. They did a very good job. He did an extra work. One of the locks could not be replaced so he put different door in it. I would use them in the future.

Our experience with them was fine and I would use them again in the future. Their price was reasonable. They were very good. They were very clean, professional and well informed. They even adjusted a door for me on their own initiative because they did not like icky doors.

I cannot remember what we paid, but I would definitely use this company. It is family owned and I knew them through our sons playing hockey together.

We moved into a new home so I wanted to have the locks re-keyed and add some new hardware. including a keyless entry system. When I called Action, they were able to give me an appointment for the very next day. Phil arrived at the appointed time and set right to work. Not only was all the new hardware installed perfectly, Phil even fixed a french door that was very difficult to open and close. He also rekeyed some existing locks so I only have to carry one key. He brought his own vacuum and cleaned up the work areas. Given the time spent (3+ hours), I feel the service charge was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to call Action Lock again.

Scheduled time window (9/28->9/30) = NO SHOW, NO PHONE CALL. I was available any of those (except Tues am and Thur am which I informed them of). I had my cell with me the entire time, and they had my number. Not recommended. Seemed reputable/reliable when I spoke with them on the phone.

Excellent service. I called on a Monday and they scheduled the service for the following morning. Joe arrived right on time and did a great job. The only dilemna was that I was quoted one price when I scheduled the appointment and then another higher price after the job was completed. After a quick call to the office they honored their original quote. They provided two free keys and a 10% discount for being an Angie's List customer. Overall I was very pleased with their services and I will definitly use them again.

Pleasantly surprised. When the lock broke on our front door, I called the locksmith after checking Angie's List . I was worried because not only couldn't I lock the door, I couldn't close the door. Phil was able to come out the same day that I called. The new knob and lock that he installed work so much better than our old one. We will definitely call Action Lock and Safe any time we need a locksmith in the future.

Contacted Action Lock and safe in the morning, and was able to schedule to have the work done the next day. Had one lock replaced to match the rest, had 7 other door locks rekeyed and 3 new keys for the locks produced. Work was completed in about 3 hours. Priority was to get home secured by new owner. Next time would do a more thorough price comparison with local competitors.

We first hired this company last summer, after we purchased our home. We wanted to re-key all the locks, and had called several places to get information. Action Lock and Safe offered the most competitive prices, and seemed the most intelligent and knowledgeable. They were also able to come out within a day of our phone call. During the course of remodeling, we had given a house key to a contractor who later just up and quit the job, leaving our front door unlocked and wide open. We had also discovered that the contractor had given our key to several of his "subs", rather than keeping it only in his possession. Action Lock and Safe to the rescue! They came the same day we called, and again re-keyed the locks. And knowing that we would also be changing the lock sets during remodeling, they worked to figure out the least expensive way to re-key the existing, and try to work with the upcoming changes. Our new contractor (This Home Handyman--an Angie's List Superstar!!), has now installed new lock sets, and we once again called Action Lock and Safe. And once again, as we've come to expect, they came out immediately and performed an excellent job! Hopefully, we'll never again need to change or re-key locks, but if we do, we'll certainly call them for the job. They are trustworthy, reliable, and reasonably priced.

They did a good job and charged a reasonable fee. The finished the job in less than an hour. We though that they would have to replace the entire lock mechanism, but they just found out the part that was bent and fixed it very cheaply. They could have replaced the whole thing and charged us a lot more. They are punctual and professional too.

They came when they said they would come; the installers were great! They cut the baseboard to fit the safe properly. We appreciated that they were most careful of the woodwork and our home.

They were honest to explain that they couldn't provide services for us. We would try them again in the future.

The installer professionally installed the lock and made sure the door was aligned correctly. This was difficult to do since the builder did not do it correctly.

Phil called ahead and arrived as scheduled. He recognized a worn part and although it was no longer made, he was able to replace it with an old part that he keeps from previous jobs. He adjusted and lubed the mechanism and all worked fine. I happened to mention that we were having a problem opening one of our sliding glass doors and he even fixed that for us. He was a very nice guy.

They went above and beyond their duty. They were very late in sending an invoice, but I didn't mind.

They were prompt, and got the work done quickly. I would use them again.

I believe the unfortunate thing for the customer is that the company does not phone you when it appears they ''might'' not get to your house as you will then obviously call someone else.

HE WAS ON TIME, NICE GUY, I HAVE NO IDEA IF HE WAS REASONABLY PRICED. HE LOOKED AT AND BRIEFLY TINKERED WITH A DOOR CLOSER ON MY PATIO. IT CAME TO NOTHING AND HE DIDN'T CHARGE ME.
