The service tech was punctual and did the work but the price was double of their competitors. I won't use them again.

We located Action Air through Angie's List along with 2 other companies. All three companies lived up to their A rating. We selected Action Air, because we had multiple questions when we were comparing all the bids regarding why one company was using this model vs another model, etc. Jeff at Action Air took the time to explain the differences in the various models and why one model would be preferable over another. They did the best job explaining our options. Bidwise, they were right in the middle - not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. We needed the AC unit installed on short notice as we wanted to make the deadline for the $1500 tax credit. They scheduled the work right away, showed up promptly and were polite and professional. They carefully put down canvas to protect my flooring when they replaced the inside air handler unit and left my home cleaner than it was when they came. They made sure the unit was working correctly and clearly and throughly explained all the functions to me prior to leaving. Installation passed county inspection with flying colors. I will definitely continue to use their company for any of my A/C maintenance needs and recommend them highly.

Action air continues to be wonderful. The price was a little more than expected this time, but they haven?t done anything in the past that would make me think they were overcharging us.

My air conditioning stopped working last night, and I knew that it was because of a blockage in the pipe because there was water leaking from the unit. I used Angie's List to find Action Air Conditioning and called them at 7:30 a.m. They had an opening for the first service call of the day, and promised to have someone there within the hour. The technician, (Rick?) arrived right at 8:30 a.m., quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it. He did a good job of explaining the problem and what work had to be performed. He also encouraged me to get annual maintenance for my system but didn't engage in any kind of hard sell, which means I will definitely call them again. Overall, a superior experience.

Everything went very well from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this company for a/c work. The initial consultation with John was very pleasant and professional. He demonstrated a proficient depth of knowledge and gave me confidence that I had made the right choice. There was no hard sell or act now pressure. The workers and office staff were very service oriented and easy to work with. We are enjoying our new a/c and haven't had any obvious issues to date.

They came right out and fixed the problem. They were really good, and they responded right away. He was able to diagnose the problem right away and fix it. They are actually coming back in two weeks also for a tune up.

Action provided the best quotes for good, better, best options as compared to other companies contacted. Answered questions very honestly. Installation crew was punctual and friendly. They took measures to ensure a clean removal of old equipment and installation of new equipment. Crew also eliminated a constricted area of return duct ahead of air handler that was noted during the first estimate visit. This will result in more efficient operation and less noise. Completed work in 7 hours. County inspector indicated work looked very good. Final price included Action Air discount, power company rebate, and manufacturers discount.

I found a new company to buy my new AC system.

Steve arrived on time. He is very pleasant, knowledgeable and explained everything he was going to do inside and outside the house. He was very thorough and did an excellent job. We appreciated that he was very considerate of our home and wore booties over his shoes when working inside the house. We are more than pleased with the work and highly recommend Action Air.

Everything went well. They put some freon in it. They said I had an old unit and that I probably needed a new one, which I do. They came on time and they did what they were supposed to do.

As has happened a couple of times in the past, the technician from Action Air quickly diagnosed a problem and gave me an honest answer about what it was. My Internet research of my problem (the heat was coming on when I wanted AC, and vice-versa) led me to believe that I would need a new heat pump reversing valve, an expensive proposition. I mentioned this to the technician, but he quickly figured out that the issue was simply that I had bought the wrong kind of themostat at Home Depot, a much, much cheaper solution. He could have easily lied to me and performed unneeded work that would have cost over a thousand dollars. Instead, he explained why I needed a different thermostat, rewired the one I had so it would work for AC (just wouldn't be able to switch from AC to heat and back), and even drew me a little diagram of how to hook up the wires to the new thermostat when I got one. I've had similar experiences in the past in which Action Air could have easily taken advantage of me in my ignorance, but instead told the truth and charged me only for what was needed. Because of this, of course, I've continued to call them whenever I've had problems, and used them to replace my units when they really did need replacing. I've been using their services for about ten years and have always had the same courteous, efficient--and, above all, honest--service.

I used this company many years ago when I had the replaced system installed and was happy with their work. I was very impressed to see they have kept up the great work as evidenced by their high Angie's List ratings. I received several quotes and decided to use Action Air again. They were able to replace the entire system the day after placing the order. The sales rep was extremely knowledgeable and the technicians did a great job (and cleaned up well after themselves). I highly recommend this company.

We had the mold and the mildew in our system a few months ago. We have a contract with them to have them come and check it once a year. It was in real bad condition when they came out. They were here over a half day. They cleaned it and put in some hardware so that it wouldn't come back. They are very careful in sending out their people to our house and I think it's very important. They were on time and they cleaned up after themselves.

They were professional, quick, and clean. I am using them as my air conditioning maintenance people. I have no problems with them.

We have been using Action Air since we moved to Tampa three years ago to perform the annual maintenance and occasional repair on our two air conditioning units. The Action Air technicians have previously told us our back unit was not in particularly good shape, it was 12-years old and at the end of its life span. We had trouble before the routine servicing was due this year and had to have additional Freon put in the unit. When it was due for the annual servicing we had it tested instead and was told there was a leak which would require replacement of the air handler, an approximately $1,500 job. We decided that it would make more sense to replace the entire system, due to its age. Action Air gave us a quote on three Trane systems, ranging from $6,193 to $9,595 before rebates and tax credit. Jeff, the salesman, was not able to leave us any brochures on the products, but referred us to the Trane web site. We had some difficulty finding the exact models and getting the information there. In general we have been satisfied with Action Air, but after doing some research and comparing all the bids, we decided that a Carrier system would be a better value and went with one of the other bidders.

other than being more costly than i anticipated, all other aspects were excellent from sales to installiation.

The fan motor in the air conditioning unit had broken. We called them day before yesterday and they responded immediately; almost within an hour. It was covered under the warranty but I had to pay for the expense of the visit over the weekend. They replaced the fan motor. The quality of work was good. They worked very fast and they knew what to do. They are pretty famous.

My son?s air conditioning unit was not working properly. I called them because they were close by. They came when they said they would come. The person who came was knowledgeable and friendly. They fixed it while they were there and charged a reasonable price. They changed some parts in the condenser of the air conditioning unit. They were terrific. I would use them again.

I called them for an estimate and they gave me a very detailed written estimate with all of the specifications and the exact price and time frame. They were a little more expensive than the other companies but it was worth it. They sent a salesman over to begin with, and he was the most knowledgable air conditioning salesmen I've ever worked with. He was from Trane Air Conditioning, which is the make of the unit, and he gave me all the details. They came over when they said they would to install the unit and did the whole thing in one day. One of the things that impressed me was that when the salesman was over here and climbing up into the attic to look at where the air conditioning unit was, he even offered to help us replace the attic pull-down stairs that were worn out. I bought the stairs and they installed them for free, which was very nice.

They were not available to come out for about a month, however when we called them with an air conditioning issue they were able to send someone right out. Everyone who I have spoken with have been very courteous and professional. They made sure to call me before they came out to do the servicing. They came out promptly and went right to work when he arrived. He left no mess in my home, which I appreciated. He did not have the part that was necessary, however he left and ordered it and when it came in later that day another technician came right out in install it. I think that they were reasonably priced for the servicing. My units are working even better than they were before.

They were very punctual, cleaned up well, and the job was done to our satisfaction. They made an effort to complete the job in a single day, and were successful in doing so.
