The tech. analyzed the problem promptly and corrected it in one visit. Recommended isolation test if problem persists, but he thinks he corrected it. He was prompt and professional.

We called in the morning and by the early afternoon the problem was fixed and we were cool again! Mike the service tech was great to work with and very knowledgeable. We will definitely use them in the future for our AC needs.

I received bids from five providers of different makes of systems, all chosen from Angie's List. I was most impressed with Dave Russell's presentation (Action Air) because of his extensive background in the repair and installation side of his business. He also provided the best organized and comprehensive written estimate. He was also very up-front that his prices were competitive but that new air conditioning systems of high quality were not cheap. The two Action Air techs that installed the system brought the same level of knowledge and attention to detail. One month after installation I had a concern that the system may have developed a problem. I got same day warranty service and all my question/concerns were resolved to my satisfaction. I intend to use Action Air for annual service of the air conditioning system.

Our air conditioner went out during the night. We called the next morning and they were able to send a technician withing 2.5 hours. The technician, Ken, was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He fixed our problem quickly and patiently answered all our questions about actions to take regarding our air conditioning unit.

The installation technicians arrived at the promised time and worked all day in pretty tough conditions. They worked hard, competently and completed the job when they expected to. I was impressed with their conscientious, careful and creative efforts. The performed beyond my expectations and help with things that were probably outside the scope of work (like moving one of my yard sprinkler heads). Needless, to say, I?m happy with the system and feel we made a good decision by going with Action Air Conditioning.

They were good and reliable. The air conditioner leaked onto our ceiling but, they took care of the painters charge. We will use them again in the future.

They came out on Saturday. Joyce the receptionist at the office was very good at keeping me informed. They did have to order a part. The part came in and the unit was fixed on the following Monday. Mike was the service man and he was very professional.

Steve Freyeisen, the tech, arrived when they said he would and was very professional and knowledgeable. He went about his business doing a thorough check and cleaning of my system. After he was done, he reviewed what he had done with me and indicated that he had not found any problems. I have been using this company for probably 10 years now without any problems.

Got estimates from a few companies. David Russell came to our home and gave us a competitive estimate. He was professional and courteous. We were not looking for the lowest bidder, we were looking for someone to do the work properly and stand by it. Action AIr came in and did the work within a few days. They were fast and efficient and professional. I would be happy to recommend David and Action Air.

We were very pleased with the overall experience. We called on Monday. The salesman was able to come out the next day and the installation was done by Friday. The crew that came in was prompt and worked neatly (it's always important to me that workers are respsectful of our property and cover their work areas and clean up after themselves!). They were expected to replace three ducts but needed to replace more and did so without charging us more! Yeah. I was also impressed with the office personnel. Very polite.

Repairman showed up promptly. Located the problem and fixed it quickly. I appreciate the fact that he told me that the system was near the end of its life (this is perfectly true) and that the next time I had a real issue, I should consider a new system because the government no longer allows the use of the cooling agent which this present system uses. I know this is true becauseI have researched it myself. Quality of the work was fine and it is still operating fine. Repairman was very knowledgable. That having been said, I really didn't like him and thought he was a bit odd. I had a small "Romney" sign (about 4x6 inches) on my front door window. He launched into a long political rant against Romney (I had never mentioned anything political) and I thought I would never get him out. It was almost comical! However, I don't think that repairmen should be making comments about, politics, lifestyle, religion or anything else...just stick to the repair issue at hand. I didn't take offense and would use the company again but I think the company owner might want to caution his employees about this as I consider it unprofessional behavior.

Wow, what an awesome experience! I called 3 places on Saturday to come and look at my central AC/Heat Unit. The 2 other high rated companies on Angie's list I called I had to leave a message even though hours of operation stated Saturday hours, and they did not call me back until Monday morning. Not this awesome place! I called Saturday at approx 1:30 give or take an hour, and they not only answered the phone, they had a tech come out and take a look at it that afternoon. The office even called me and told me when they were on the way! The person I spoke too, and I'm sorry, I can't remember the lady's name, was super nice! The tech Mike was a very friendly sort. He diagnosed the problem and was happy to explain what he was looking at and doing every step of the way. The problem ended up being a blown transformer due to a short in an outside wire from when it rained a few days back. He inspected the wire with the short, repaired it, taped up the wires and re-adjusted the wires by the outside unit to make them less susceptible to environmental conditions. He replaced the transformer and also installed a fuse since my particular model didn't already have one. He also noticed the thermostat was sending a heat signal to the heat coils in the air handler while also sending a signal to turn on the AC. I couldn't get the thermostat repaired right away, so he disconnected the wire from the thermostat that turned on the heat coils in the air handler. He said we would lose some of our heating capacity doing this, but not all, as we would still have heat from the outside unit. We would just lose our emergency/residual heating until we can get the thermostat replaced. Also, the price was very fair. I paid $237.90 all in for the repair. In addition to the repair, he also checked our Freon, which was fine. I never felt pressured to purchase anything unnecessary or to upgrade to a new unit. Mike was nice enough to tell us that in 2015, the type of Freon being used in our unit will stop being manufactured in 2015, so be sure to keep that in mind for future plans. I was very happy with the service, response time, the tech and the office staff! I am so happy, I am considering a yearly service contract with the company.

Action Air was the choice of our homebuilder and we have had them service our unit a few times over the years, once for a not insignificant warranty repair which cost us nothing. But our Trane unit with the 10 year warranty was now 12+ years old, and when the unit stopped dead the previous evening I started by checking the breaker box and sparks flew, so we called them first thing the next morning and they arrived within a few hours. The technician pronounced the AC dead, and gave us several quotes for new Trane units, the most energy efficient (a SEER 20 unit) with rebates would actually have been LESS than a SEER 18 unit. We went to their showroom which is in our neighborhood and set up 6 months same as cash financing and had the new unit installed and running the next morning. Very courteous, very professional and I certainly would use them again.

About two weeks ago my ac unit stopped working and I put a call into Action Air. It was on a week-end and the dispatcher Alyssa told me she didn't have anyone available and couldn't tell me when there would be a tech available... probably the next morning. She was very negative and I explained it was very hot and despite my service contract with Action Air I would have to call another company. That other company sent a tech out within the hour. As his truck pulled into my driveway I received a call from Action Air saying a tech was on his way. If Action Air had been more accurate about a time frame I would have waited for them as I have a service contract with them. This other company replaced the capacitor and charged me $250.00. The ac ran for 3 hours and broke down again. I called Action Air and after suffering through a hot, airless night they sent out a tech (Mike) in the morning. He replaced the motor. Two weeks later the ac stopped working again. A tech came out at night and nothing was done, not even a diagnosis. The next morning Mike, the senior tech, came back out and discovered a roofing nail in my copper piping in the attic area. I gave him my camera and he took a picture of it. When the roofing company was shown this they immediately arranged to have the ac repaired and paid the service call charge. Mike is smart and experienced. I am going to start asking for him. It is some members of the office staff that answers the phone calls that I find very negative with a "can't do" attitude.

The compressor on our 20 year old air conditioner finally went belly up and we knew it was time to bite the bullet and replace the system. As you can imagine, it being mid-June in Tampa, we were on a short time frame. We called a few companies with good ratings on Angie's List, one of them being Action Air. Dave, the owner, came out to provide an estimate the next day. In fact, we had to push his appointment back by more than an hour due to the company scheduled before him running long, and he was still able to accommodate us. Dave was very professional and knowledgeable regarding the equipment and ductwork changes he recommended and fully explained the advantages and disadvantages of the three separate equipment options he presented to us. Dave guaranteed our satisfaction, but was also clear on what he could not do, and I appreciated his not making promises he couldn't keep just to get our business. Action Air was not the lowest bid, but we chose to use them based on our impression of Dave and the fact that they are a well-established local company. They were able to schedule the installation for the following day and Dave personally stopped by to make sure the process was going well. The install was completed in less time than we expected and we were up and running again that afternoon. After a few days, our kitchen was still not staying as cool as we'd like. We called to let Dave know and he sent an installer back out to increase the size of the ductwork to the kitchen which took care of the problem. Bottom line, we were very satisfied with our Action Air experience and will use them in the future.

Lousy service from start to finish.

The unit started to make a banging sound when it first came on that day (Friday, March 16) at about 5:15 PM. The fan then stopped working and I could hear a strange noise coming from the unit. I shut down the breaker and called Action at about 5:30 PM. The lady who answered the phone was polite and friendly and put me on the repair schedule for Sat. Mike, the A/C tech came to my house about 10:30 AM Saturday morning. I let him into the yard, where the unit is located and went back into the house for a minute. By the time I got back outside, Mike had found the problem and had the new part ready to install. Mike has the A/C knowledge to find the problem quickly. Then he showed me what had happened to the bad part and showed me how the new part would work. I was very happy with his work and the company's response to my problem. Thanks Action Air

.they were very good. they were reasonable in price they did what they said they were going to do when they said they would do it.

I spent $10000 because it was a brand new system. They were good. They did an excellent job. They were in and out in one day. They were really friendly. The guys did the entire job including the cleanup. It was the best. The air conditioning dropped my bill by about $50 a month. Their price was in the mid range. I would use them again in the future because they come and check it every year.

I wouldn’t trust my air conditioner to anyone but them. We had the ac go out, they were here the next day they repaired everything. I have no complaints about their service. I have even called them back up to compliment the individual that they had sent out.

They were able to come out right away. They fixed my unit quickly, didn't charge me for the freon and it's been working fine ever since.

The technician was prompt, informative as to how the system would work, and how it would be installed. The installation time was just what he said it would be.
