A DiChristopher Appliance Service

Just excellent. Was a little concerned because the repairman seemed so young, but he was prompt and knew exactly what part was needed. Ordered it, picked it up, and was back in 15 minutes. Whole repair took less time than I expected.

Very prompt, honest, professional service.

A technician (Anthony) was dispatched to my rental unit on the same day my call was made. He called me from the premises to advise that the transformer in the washing machine needed to be replaced. Anthony said he could repair the unit but it would be labor intensive and expensive. The repair would cost almost as much as a new unit. I appreciated the promptness in responding to my call and the honesty of the estimate. This is a very professional, well run company and I will not hesitate to use DiChristopher Appliance again.

The cleaning issue was a simple fix, the parts were reasonably priced and now I have a dishwasher that is as good as new. DiChristopher saved me hundreds of dollars.

My call brought Mr. D. to my door within the hour. Comforting to me, since I imagined that I'd be shopping for a new fridge that Friday afternoon. He explained the procedure and cost, then quickly replaced the sensor. Then he offered suggestions about what to expect, what sounds to listen for, how to monitor the thermometer and set cooling regulator. He also assured me that the temperature was still within normal limits and food was still safe. And, how to clean under fridge safely. He checked over electrical functioning of the unit, as well.(These things just happen on weekends. An example of how helpful the staff wants to be - Mr. D. kept the new kitten from escaping as they entered. They care.) Fine service from fine people!

The service was very good. He came that afternoon and did the work. When I called the company, the woman I spoke to was able to get someone out to my house right away. They basically were able to schedule me in right away.

Extremely pleased with the entire experience. When I called after 5 pm, Monday I expected to get no answer or an answering machine instead got a real live person who was more than willing to take my call. I was told to expect a call between 7:30 and 8am the next day advising me when to expect the serviceman. At 7:40am I received the call and was told someone would be at the house between 9:30 and noon. Serviceman showed up before 11am and was courteous, professional and efficient. Entire job was completed in short order Definitely will call in the future and recommend this company to any who need appliance service.

Great! Arrived on time, very courteous; didn't try to sell a lot of extra stuff; gave excellent advice on maintaining appliances. Very tidy and clean. Seemed very trustworthy, and would use again in a heartbeat.

This was a model service call. I spoke on the phone with Don DiChristopher, who had fixed a previous washing machine and kitchen range for me about ten years ago. We set up an appointment for his son Anthony, who now works in this family business, to look at my washer and address my concerns about the difficulty of cleaning the dryer vent. Don and Anthony confirmed the appointment by phone, and Anthony even arrived a little early. He knew right away why the washer wouldn't spin, explained that the switch probably got broken because the washer lid closed or fell too hard too often, and replaced the switch. He recommended the metal hose as safer (and I was happy to make that change), and while cleaning the vent, he showed me how I could do it more easily. I am delighted with the service provided. (The boxes on the report form don't have room for me to explain that though I chose the company based on my good past experience, I checked Angie's List website before calling to get current information since my experience was ten years or so old).

Had front loading washer for 9 years. Never had a problem with washer until now. The door to the washer would not lock so I could not run the washer since it was a front loader. I was concerned that I would have to send several hundred dollars but was very pleased that the problem was minor and so was the cost. Very pleased.

He was early for the appointment, immediately diagnosed the problem, fixed it in record time. While he was there, he gave me advice on cleaning my dryer vents and cleaning my dishwasher to remove spots off china and glasses. He was professional and polite, did the job quickly but thoroughly, did not chatter and stop for conversation. I was thoroughly impressed.

Excellent. Arrived on time. Diagnosed problem quickly. Located the repair part and had the job done in less than an hour. Which is remarkable because 10 days earlier, I had called a company I had previously used for 10-15 years. Their repairman was late, estimated the cost would be twice as much, then they lost the part order, the followup repairman was also late, and I ended up canceling them and calling Di Christopher who repaired the dryer in less than a day from start to finish (which the other company hadn't done it in 11 days). Anthony, the technician, was clean, courteous, and knew what he was doing.

The refrigerator was at the right temperature when Don arrived, but he noticed that a fan was not rotating as fast as it should. After a little troubleshooting he determined that a computer board had gone bad in the refrigerator. Luckily, he had the part with him and he was able to change the board on this visit. He did an excellent job at assessing the problem and determining what was wrong, not to mention fixing the problem as well. Don was excellent and was extremely pleasant. He called ahead of time, told me when he would arrive, and was very nice. He explained the problem with the refrigerator and why it wasn't working. I appreciated how he took the time to go through the details of what wasn't working right and why. This company has all that we consumers look for in a service company: professionalism, excellent quality, punctuality, and a price in line with other companies.

They were just fine. They reminded me how to maintain my system. They gave me advice on how to fix another problem myself. They are good people, I will continue to use them.

Don came out at our scheduled appointment time. I told him what was happening and he went right to work. He explained what he was looking for and what he was doing. He told me that I needed a new ...I don't remember what the part name was....fan???. He had them in the truck. He told me exactly what it would cost to replace and did it. The whole problem was solved in half an hour. He also told me the coils were clean and he checked out other things as well. Don is incredibly nice and doesn't try to sell you something you don't need. I was really ill that day and it was so nice to have everything explained to you instead of having to know what questions to ask. Also checked my dryer on the way out. Nice guy.

Called first thing on a Monday. They were here by noon. Refrigerator was not working properly. Technician told me what he thought the problem was (needed new motherboard and flap-door inside refrigerator). Showed me what was not happening that I should expect to see happening after he completed the work. After completing the work, showed me that the non-functioning elements were now working. Work was done inside of an hour. Even made a suggestion for me to eventually change the water line to the unit from plastic to copper and taped up the water line to lessen the chance of it cracking by being rolled over by the unit. Seemed very honest and straightforward.

I called and left message. They returned call within an hour and said they would come repair my refrigerator the next day and that I would get a call between 7:45 and 8:00 am to let me know what time to expect the repairman. He called at exactly 7:50am and arrived at the time promised. Repair was completed in less than an hour.

THE FIRST GUY THAT CAME OUT DID NOT DO THE JOB CORRECTLY, SO THE OWNER CAME OUT THE NEXT DAY TO FIX THE PART. HE WAS VERY PROMPT, CLEAN CUT, AND VERY POLITE.

I read a report on Angie's List that was negative and after my experience I found that it was false. I would definitely use them again. I will refer him.

Not well. As soon as I provided an address, I was declined business. There was no explanation given other than, "we have had problems in that area." Well, sometimes I have problems on the road or with my computer but it does not mean I stop driving or using the computer. This company is discriminating and unfair to the working public that live in our historic district. Do not waste your time if you live anywhere other than West Chase or some all-white neighborhood, I am sure of it.

The part that had to be ordered came back in 3 days. Dirty clothes didn't pile up in laundry room. I expected a 2 week wait. The worker was mindful of the 3 cats roaming around and closed and opened doors so cats couldn't slip out. Prompt, good manners, fair price, didn't "dally" around. Keep doing a good job.

He is very honest and will tell you if it is less expensive to replace, rather than repair. He is very friendly and efficient. He does great work and I will use him, again when needed.

The serviceman was prompt and professional. He quickly analyzed the problem and serviced the appliance, explained all the related issues and responding to all questions. He also gave advice on continuing maintenance. He made sure all was cleaned after completing the work.

I called he ordered a part set up a time to come and install. Showed up on time did the job. Smooth as silk.

Alison called in the morning of the appointment to let me know to expect Anthony at 10:00. He called ahead to let me know he was coming and arrived a few minutes early. He was courteous and professional. After examining the dryer, he gave a detailed explanation of the problem, the solution, and the cost. He also gave some additional advice to prevent future problems and recommended a service to clean the exhaust vent. I join the other List members in highly recommending this company. I will definitely call them again if I need additional work.
