They have always done excellent work. I have been using them for a number of years with excellent results.

Fixed the problem the same day that I called.

Plumber did not replace the water valve when he came to house. Instead he invoiced us a service call fee of $127.50 and said for an additional $350.00 he would fix the problem. We told them not to come back. We had the valve replaced for $120.00 total by a different plumber. It would have cost us $477.50 if we had not checked into this plumbing problem on our own. Do not trust Smith Plumbing to give honest pricing.

Smith Plumbing was fantastic. They made sure the job was done right and I would definitely hire them again if I had a plumbing issue. They replaced my main water line, the damage to my lawn was minimal and the job was done quickly.

They do a good job and I like their prices.

We are preparing to put our home on the market, and my husband accidentally nailed into a water pipe in our bathroom while fixing some trim. We could hear the water spraying out of the pipe within the wall. We immediately came to Angie's List in search for an emergency plumber to come and fix the pipe. Within a few hours, a technician arrived and the pipe was fixed within an hour. It ended up costing a lot less than we thought it would, and we were pleased with the responsiveness and service.

Everything went well. I was in a pinch because my neighbor had turned the water valve to the house off to stop the leak. Because I didn't have water, Mr. Smith rearranged his mens' schedule and made my house Chris's first job. Chris got right to work and quickly identified the problem for me.

Upon calling the company I got a quick response in a return call from the owner to set up a day and time to fix the problems in the hous. Chris arrived on time and went straigt to work after I explained the problem. It took about 2-3 hours and I am happy to be back in my bathroom again. We have more minor plumbling problems and I will certainly call upon them again later.Talle

I retrieved the information for my mother from Angie's List and from what my mother told me she was very pleased with the service. She said that Chris responded quickly to her initial phone call and was able to come the same day she called. Chris also kept her apprised of his arrival time. When Chris looked at the garbage disposal it was determined that it had rusted due to non-use and needed to be replaced. He gave my mother two options and she chose to have a new garbage disposal put in. My mother stated that she would highly recommend Smith's Plumbing to her friends and would definitely use them again if the need arises.

Excellent experience all around. They did everything they needed to do--and said they'd do--in a timely manner. I was up against a time deadline for a utility-provided rebate and they made sure that all necessary work and all necessary paperwork was done and filed on time. As a result, I received my rebate and the new water heater works great and has lowered my natural gas bill. Thank you, Smith Plumbing!

I picked Kenny Smith Plumbing from Angie,s because of prior reviews. We have lived at this address for 34 years and have used other plumbing companies during this time. Kenny Smith Plumbing was head and shoulders above the rest. If you live in Tallahassee do yourself a favor and call them for your plumbing needs. No, I am not family nor do I even know Kenny Smith.

Chris showed up on time, looked over the job and immediately went to work. He did a good job and kept me informed of his progress. When he finished he came in and started the bill. I told him I wanted the 10% senior discount they advertize on Angies List. He went outside to make a phone call, came back in and told me they weren't going to honor the senior discount because I already had the best price. Note added after Smith's response. OK: I accept that answer.

The Company called the day prior to confirm the appointment, and then called the morning of the appointment to notify me that the plumbing technician was on his way. When he arrived, he was clean, presentable and proficient. He installed the hot water heater in a very short time, and even though I offered to help him remove the old unit (which was half full of calcium and mineral deposits), he declined my offer and moved it with ease.

I had been noticing a bad smell in my half bath. I thought it was a bad toilet seal even though another company had replaced the seal not long before. I called that other company and was told my choice was to have the line from the street cleaned out which would have cost over $400. So I called Smith Plumbing instead. Their response was prompt. Chris Blackwood came out the same day. He decided to check under the house for evidence of a leaky seal before pulling the toilet. He came back out with the news that an animal had died under there and the seal was fine. There was time left on the hourly rate and Chris asked if there was anything else that needed done. He fixed a couple of leaky faucets. Chris was smart, cheerful, polite and efficient. I will call him again for my next plumbing need. My husband removed the poor dead possum and the smell went away.

The electrician explained to the plumber how to cut the power on for the heater, however, the plumber failed to do so, thus the water heater apparently didn't work. That was the sole reason for the markdown from an "A" rating. No doubt with pure plumbing he'd rate an "A". The electrician was called back, flipped the switches and there has been hot water, on demand, ever since. Since it's not really a plumbing function it's hard to find fault, at the same time, it wasn't that difficult. Our plumber was pleasant, prompt, did his work and left.

Smith's was VERY responsive when I called and sent a plumber over quickly to help me. Chris did a great job! He was quick, professional and explained everything. I would recommend this company and will call them again if I need plumbing help in the future.

Kenny Smith was the plumber and also partly the contractor for our bathroom renovation. He and his crew were very conscientous and efficient to do a perfect job. He was always pleasant and available. He and his team never cut corners, they were easy to talk to and listened to our wants and needs for the bathroom. The above cost includes parts, labor, and all fixtures. The job included removing an old (1989) deteriorated shower, removing an outdated garden tub from a different location in the bathroom and installing a new shower properly in it's place, with double showers, extending the plumbing for a dual vanity with new plumbing facilities, a new toilet with new facilities, and even repairing an outside spicket. We didn't have to cut cost on the fixtures because he was nice enough to give us his contractors discount when we were buying the items from Fergusons. Everyone that he contracted had the same work ethics..to please us, the customer, to do a complete and excellent job, and to communicate well. The tile layers, the painters, and the drywall workers all did a great job and I would hire them (and Kenny Smith) again with no hesitation. I'll be submitting a review for them soon.

I was given a prompt estimate by Kenny and they started the work quickly. As with any renovation you uncover hidden treasures. When they pulled the old tiles in the bathrooms the subfloors were rotten and needed replacing. Kenny promptly got his floor man who came in quickly and it never slowed down the job. I was doing other renovations at the time and Kenny was completely flexible and worked around the painters, kitchen floor tilers etc. This was a one stop project, they did it all. He ordered all toilets, tub, tile, plumbing fixtures etc. and as mentioned earlier he worked around our schedule. I highly recommend Smith Plumbing. Came out exactly on the estimate.(didn't know about subfloors until they got into. His floor guy was very reasonable).
