 + -1 moreI emailed Brian's Septic via their email server and received no response, however, on my second followup email, they responded immediately and apologized that their server was down. I believe them, my website was attacked and down for 5 days in that same week. We subsequently made an appointment of between 9 and 10 am the following Thursday. Despite living in the woods on a lake and sometimes hard to find, D.J and Paul arrived 10 minutes earlier, at 8.50am. They had no problem locating the septic tank and were all done, dusted and out our driveway 30 minutes later. I admire and respect their professionalism. D.J's a star!

 + -1 moreThey had to bring a tractor to my back yard and he had to take the fence down and didn't put it back up. The guy doing the work didn't have very good communication, although the owner did. They also bust up part of the concrete in my driveway. They left parts in my yard. But overall, I was satisfied with them.

 + 1 moreWhen I called, I spoke to the owner, Brian, who was friendly and helpful. He asked if it was an emergency and we determined that it was not. In two days, as discussed, a crew of two employees arrived on time with an immaculate pumping truck. They called prior to coming to confirm. Absolutely professional crew. Two completely well dressed guys in work outfits, very professional, respectful and cheerful came and located the septic tank and quickly dug in the ground and found the lid. They pumped the tank out with no fuss or mess. They located a separate tank and determined it did not need pumping and carefully covered the places they dug up. I asked if they would fill in a problem area and the younger guy obliged, happily. Gave good advice, have referred me back to the owner, Brian, for remediation of the leach field. Very pleased with their professionalism and friendliness. There was no nonsense. Just straight-forward good service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!

 + 1 moreOur toilets were not flushing well and would bubble up whenever we used the washing machine. We thought we might need a new drain field and were dreading the expense. Our call to Brian's was returned immediately and the serviceman came out the next day. He was very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. It turned out we had a clogged filter. He told us the drain field was in good shape, cleaned the filter, and pumped out the septic tank. He also gave us advice on how to keep the system working well. We were very satisfied with all aspects of doing business with them.

We ended up going with an entirely new system, as our existing tank was far away from the house, with a long sewer line. Brian and his crew did an excellent job. They were courteous, got the job done quickly, and left our yard clean, and in great shape. I thought the price was very reasonable for the amount of work that was involved. I would have expected a complete system (particularly a system with a pump) to be quite a bit more. I would definitely recommend Brian's Septic service, and will use them in the future.

 + 1 moreI called and explained that I had had a major back-up problem the night before caused by a clogged pipe. I explained that it was recommended by the company that diagnosed and fixed the immediate problem to have my septic tank pumped (which I had known prior to the recommendation was a strong possibility). I asked that I please be given an appointment as soon as possible and they sent someone out within two hours. Jerrod was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. He performed the job quickly, was careful not to damage my yard, and answered all my questions. He also provided very useful information about preventing the type problems that caused my initial back-up issue. This company was recommended to me and lived up to the good recommendation. I will definitely use them again in the future if needed.

 + -1 moreBrian and crew arrived early. He had explained all to expect. In our case, the driveway had to be removed, and of course, the sod, and quite a few plants in landscape. The crew did their best to save our landscaping. It was of course, our expense to replace sod, plants, and cement driveway. I would highly recommend Brian's Septic. We had several quotes but none were as professional as Brian. He took the time to figure out our best solution, and explained thoroughly what to expect.

 + -1 moreOverall, we are truly appalled at the dishonestly displayed by this company. It has actually made me loose faith in people and made me doubt seriously what I can trust on Angie's list. This was a company with all good ratings. Given our experience I do not believe there were so many satisfied customers' before us.
Description of Work: We hired them just to empty our septic tank. We hadn't had it pumped out since we moved in and thought it was time. They charged us extra to bring in a tractor because they claimed the tank was under some bushes-it wasn't. They used the tractor to dig down to the tank and, in doing so, broke the lid. At first all they said was would need a new lid, a few minutes later it became a new tank and then, finally it became an entire new septic system which included digging out a new drain field (i.e., digging up 500 sq ft of our back yard). Between the permit charges, water testing charges, digging out the tank and pumping it they left us a bill for the first day of $925. Then came the estimate for the rest of the job at a whopping $4,700. We got a 2nd opinion and was told by that company that our system was absolutely fine and didn't need to be replaced. The 2nd company fixed the mess Brian's had made and even suggested that we may want to call the health department because Brian's had left the tank open and exposed in an unhealthy way. After we told Brian we were getting a second opinion, we never heard from them again. Even he must have know that their story that we needed an entirely new system was fantasy. I was truly shocked by their dishonesty. I hope they at least return the money for the permits, since we certainly won't be needing those.

Description of Work: Brian is excellent. He did exactly what was expected and more. In fact, several weeks after the new drainfield was installed I noticed that there was standing water and mud about halfway down one of the drain lines. I called and reported the problem and he came out the next morning with his small excavator and dug up the distribution "T" to ensure it was level. It was. Turns out, my next door neighbor's in-ground sprinkler system was spewing water, pre-dawn, on the area. He covered everything up. I gave him some money for his trouble even though he didn't ask for it. I also gave him some sausage and bacon (I own the Register Sausage Company). Today in engaged him to put in a new drainfield at my mom's house.

Had trouble finding the inlet to the tank so spent a lot more time & did a lot more digging than usual. He was very nice, patient & professional, taking the time to explain what he was doing & provide suggestions for avoiding problems with the system. The cost included $150 (12 monthly applications worth) of enzyme, which I do not know if it is really needed or helpful.
