The cement work he did was fine. The deck work he did was not. You are supposed to use a certain type of paint and it isn't supposed to be slippery. The first time he did the job it was slippery, he came to redo it (after arguing with him to get him back out) and it wasn't slippery after that. Now it peels. It now peels just from walking on it. It is twice as bad after the second time he came out.

Paul Turcotte and his assistant Joe did an outstanding job correcting the horrible pool deck work of another contractor who will remain nameless. BACKGROUND: The work Paul corrected was one of the biggest rip-offs I have been had in my life. The interior of my pool looked nothing like we'd agreed to (the water was never balanced) and and the pool deck had several low spots. Worse yet, the surface was slippery when wet and inconsistent in color. Paul Turcotte was recommended after a screen repair professional noticed our horrible pool deck. I asked for help and he recommended CAT Resurfacing and that's how I met Paul. He arrived for the estimate on time and did not mince words describing how I had gotten ripped off. He recommended a pool expert for correcting my crappy pool interior (whom I called, followed his directions over a 4-week period, and the interior is nearly perfect now). Paul explained in detail the work he would do to correct the pool deck surface -- eliminating standing water and providing a surface fit for a pool area ? non-skid and beautiful. He gave me a written estimate and eventually set a date for the work. RESULT: Paul is a breath of fresh air. He tells you the details you need, provides a fair estimate, arrives on time, cleans up after his work each day, and completes the job as advertised. The first rain after his work I was honestly expecting some standing water (the deck he started with was just that bad). There was no standing water. The deck is beautiful. Another thing I liked about Paul was his attention to detail. There were a couple cracked slits in our drainage strip (between the pool deck and the adjacent cement floor. No big deal; those things happen over time. But Paul took the time to fix those areas and one could not tell there were ever missing slits. That kind of attention is something I would do (if I had the skills) but is rare these days in the construction business. BOTTOM LINE: CAT (Paul and Joe) exceeded my expectations in every way.

The process went very smooth. The team showed up promptly as scheduled and immediately got to work prepping the surface and grinding the old surface to achieve a smooth bond. They then poured out an under slurry mix and leveled it out. They let it dry then laid out a tape grid, and then sprayed out the acrylic surface and smoothed it out to make it appear as a knockdown surface. The next day they put down the finish top coat of stain and sealed it with an anti-skid coating. Left me with touch up stain for future scuff marks as well as helped me move the refrigerator back onto the porch. Highly recommend them on process, quality, and price.

Great! Paul came out and gave us a free estimate on grinding our 25 x 9 Florida room's cement floor. He was very honest, professional and caring. He explained that grinding the floor would not give us the finish we desired. He admitted that we had already completed 90% of the expense of the job by removing the carpet and adhesive ourselves and then explained in detail the steps we would need to do to compete the job and save the money. I was extremely impressed and would definitely hire him for future projects. He shared that he has his painting license in addition to his experience in concrete work. I feel blessed to have met him.

He did an outstanding job. They pressure cleaned everything. Poured the cool deck and painted it with the acrylic finish. First class job.

They were extremely professional and very nice to have around. I hated to see them leave. They were really nice people especially Paul Turcotte, the owner. They did an excellent job. There were people who didn’t want to do it, but Paul stepped up and did it. They were excellent. I would definitely use them again.
