Peacelady Painting

This is the second time I've had Victoria do some painting for me. She comes on time, keeps in touch if there is any delay and does a totally awesome job. She is fun to be around and extremely neat - never leaves a mess and actually did some touch up on last year's job cause "she couldn't stand it" that my son had scuffed the base boards a little when he refinished the floors last fall! My kitchen came out just the way I wanted it and her choice of colors was (as usual) much better than what I had thought might work! She's exceptional!

Came when promised. Did a thoroughly professional job with no fuss, no muss. Kept us posted on her progress. Generous with her advice and good humor. Will definitely use her again when needed

I got Victoria's name from Angie's list, and couldn't have asked for a more qualified and professional person for the job. We got several estimates , and hers was right on target, and included extras that the others did not. She was prompt, quiet, considerate, and managed to paint with my three crazy dogs around. It was a pleasure to have her here and she did a super job, even helping me with color decisions, and her clean-up was perfect.

My house is on the market and many of the comments were about the dark walls in the LR and DR. I finally agreed that they needed to be painted. Now how to find a painter. I signed up with Angie's List and began the search. I decided to go the Peacelady Painter. She was A's across the board. So I called and she answered the phone, I didn't have to leave a message. We agreed on a time for her to come and give me a quote and she. I was pleased with the price and set a date to have the rooms painted. She arrived when she said she would and completed the job in the ammount of time set. Everything was covered for protection. The work was perfect. She is a perfectionist with a personality! She came prepared with drop cloths, lights and everything. I felt very comfortable leaving the house while she was there. I was so hesitant about changing the color and what a pleasant result. The rooms look great! My only question, Angie is , " Why isn't she listed as your #1 painter?" I am beyond pleased. Cindy

She was extremely neat and was very quick in getting the estimate. She stayed right on target with the estimate. She was very professional. She came recommended by some people. She is very good.

I really wanted to work with her but had met with another painting person earlier and had made a verbal committment although at the time I met with Victoria I hadn't received an estimate yet and wasn't sure if it was going to work out. It turned out there was an email address confusion issue so I fetl obliged to keep my verbal committment. I do hope to work with Victoria some time in the future. Also I was pretty desperate to get the work done asap and Victoria was available for a few weeks.

Overall? It went amazingly well from start to finish. I called on a Friday and by Tuesday evening the room was finished. That does not necessarily mean Victoria has a lot of openings. This seemed to fit in due to the fact that it was a small job and she had a cancellation. I lucked out. I do not/did not know Victoria but relied on the reviews I found on Angie's List and was very pleased with how the entire project unfolded. My plan was to paint it myself or have my husband do it so we emptied the room completely and bought the paint and the tools needed to complete the job. We kept putting it off. I went looking and found Victoria. From the minute I spoke to her I had an instinct that we had done the right thing. She is trusting and trustworthy. We made plans on the phone - 1 call; lasted about 1/2 an hour. She instinctively knew what I wanted and decided not to travel all the way to look at the room. It was clear to her that it was "just a room that needed painting." No drama, no bells & whistles. She arrived on time, we chatted, she went straight to work, I left her there so I could go to work, and when I came home it was done and all cleaned up. I've asked her to provide an estimate for another room. It is exciting to have an outside contractor do work without a lot of nonsense attached to the negotiation. I only hesitate to recommend her because I want her to be available when I want her. She is experienced and a hard worker with great character and ethics. She is a one-woman "team" and appears to be capable of doing all the heavy lifting if it becomes necessary.

Victoria received a deposit to secure the requested date in advance. She secured the date, despite multiple other opportunities to accept work. Showed up on the determined date and began what she estimated to be a 3 1/2 week job. The project was very large, considering the need to tape out full rooms of natural wood ceiling beams, window framing and chair wall rails. In addition, she was working on various surfaces, including previously painted walls in fairly vibrant colors, wood, brick and cabinetry. Ultimately the job required 3, rather than 2 coats and 5 full weeks to complete. Victoria was very fair with us and only asked that the additional paint for the 3rd coat be covered and not the additional 1 1/2 weeks of labor. Her work was neat, clean and detailed. She sent us pictures, as the work progressed and even added a few extra items of finishing to make the job complete and professional. When the job extended beyond her estimated time allotment, she had to turn down other project offers, in order to meet her committment to us. Which she did, and then some. Victoria is hard-working, fair and very trustworthy. We gave her full access to our home and she was very careful to safeguard it during her time there. I would be happy to recommend her and hope to have the opportunity to hire her again for the exterior of our home, when the time comes.

Victoria was conscientious about her start date - she kept us aware of all changes and arrived promptly on the date promised.She was professional, punctual, and meticulous about the work that she did. She took time to use popcorn ceiling patch and blended it in with the original. She repaired bathroom ceilings where tape had come away from the ceiling. She cleaned the recess lighting in the kitchen ceiling. She prepped the areas well, and the only place where there was paint was on the ceiling. She left her materials neatly out of the way when she left the house. There was nothing left to clean up. We are very pleased with the job that she did and recommend her highly.

Overall? it was excellent - Victoria always showed up when she said she would and always worked steadily the entire time she was here. I found her very professional and easy to get along with and she had good suggestions of ways to handle any problems. Also some good design contributions. she was willing to add some work to the original estimate for very reasonable prices. She was extremely careful not to get paint spills or drips on anything and left everything clean every night! I totally love the way the rooms came out looking and couldn't be happier w/the work or the pricing - I feel I got very good value for the money. Frankly I was more comfortable having a woman do the work and it turned out to be a great decision. She was willing to travel down from Maine to the NH seacoast both for the estimate and to do the work - and her time estimate was spot on! She finished in exactly the time she said she would. I can't say enough about her - would recommend her to anyone needing this type of work done!

Please see above! I highly, highly recommend Victoria Symonds of Peace Lady Painting for all of your painting jobs! Bar none, she is the best! And... she even took care of minor repairs while she was here. She fixed a broken stair tread for me when I couldn't find anyone to come out for such a small job. She did it perfectly and professionally. You can also see some of what she painted for us out on her FB page. We just purchased a tear-down property that we need to live in while we figure out our build process, and Victoria came in to paint the place to make it liveable for us - she did a fantastic job, working in sub-optimal situation and really helped us make the place feel like home. She cleaned things that I didn't expect her to touch, and left the place - beyond just the painting - in a much improved state. Her work was true to her estimate and completed on time and looks really great. She's got great attention to detail, thinks things through well, and was exceptionally organized from start to finish. We'd come back to her again in a heartbeat.

She had done it originally a couple years earlier and it just started to fad. So we had her come back and put another coat of stain on it. She is very thorough. She does almost all of it by hand and she is very reasonable in price.

Vic, gave 110% on every possible aspect of this job, She had the best price, her workmanship is excellent, clean up, and had helpful suggestions, She is so professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, caring, and supremely capable of a finished product that surpassed high standards.

I called, received a prompt reply, she came to my house, gave me a very reasonable estimate, then performed the repair promptly and actually charged less than the estimate. Great job, very prompt, and cleaned everything up.

Peacelady Painting is wonderful! I have worked with her twice in the past few years and am completely satisfied with her work. She was able to fit us in this time because we were on a time crunch despite the fact that she isbooked for the next few months. Not only is she a talented painter, but she also has an eye for what will look good in your house and she offers suggestions. She is meticulous in her work and is also very personable and kind. She goes above and beyond, which for us included letting our dogs out during the day because one was sick, and cleaning up after it! This was going WAY above and beyond and we so appreciated it! Additionally, when she finished painting our bathroom, she reinstalled towel rods, lighting fixturings and even put the towels back on the rods! I came home to a perfectly complete bathroom! I would 100% recommend Peacelady Painting to anyone who is looking for someone that does an amazing job and is a joy to work with.

She is prompt, professional, has a great sense of humor, is quiet (I work from home and this was never an intrusion!); she is immaculate, and her prep work includes lots of caulking and sanding - so she is not just coming in and priming and painting. she takes great care to make it look as great as possible. What I really appreciated, in contrast to a couple other estimates I got, was that she gave an itemized estimate for each of the areas I was considering painting. So not only was she the best and most detailed estimate, she was $600 less than the other person I was considering, who was someone who had painted a room for us before and whose work we were pleased with. I think the reason I chose Vic was because of her reviews on Angie's list and because I work from home and was more comfortable having a woman in my house with me. It was a great decision.

She primarily worked on the decks. She provided me with an estimate before doing the job. I had two or three quotes and hers was in touch with reality. She was on time; she worked hard and was pleasant to work with. I will use her services in the future.

Victoria's work on our townhouse was well done. She saved us money by advising against repainting ceilings and instead just touched up the few spots that needed attention. We had the walls professionally prepared before hand by another contractor so I can't speak to her ability to prep rough areas.

She is always very responsive. She gave us an estimate right away and showed up on time. We have a lot of construction going on and she actually cleaned up not only her work but everything around her. It was almost as if she was hired to paint AND clean and it wasn't even her responsibility.

She did a beautiful job. She put 2 coats on each room. She told us when she would be here and she was here. She told us how long it would take her and she completed it in 3 days. She is a very nice lady.
