Description of Work: From the in-home sales rep (Gail) to the Installer (Charles), Reece Windows/Builders, Inc. impressed me every step of the way. We are having all of our windows replaced with vertical sliding panel double pane argon gas windows and steel alloy hurricane shutters. Every expectation was exceeded in the installation. We are installing in steps, and Reece is working with us to facilitate our financial situation. A concern for us was my Mother-In-Law not wanting to lose her awnings to make room for the hurricane shutters. Charles did a pre-installation inspection the Friday prior to installation and was able to find a way to both install the shutters and keep the awnings. As I write this, there is a severe thunder storm in our neighborhood. We decided to install the windows in the Sun Room/Florida Room first because that's where Mom spends most of her time. I can't get the difference in noise level between inside with the windows closed, and sliding one open to listen. The room is brighter yet the temperature more consistent in this room, and more than half the outside noise from this storm is muted. The windows themselves are double interlock design with two clicking locks on each, and can be opened with a single finger. I especially like the security features in the design. Nothing short of a canonball is getting through these windows, and their design allows each side to be partially opened for fresh air flow, yet in such a way that an intruder can't reach inside and force the window the rest of the way open. Reece is a well respected contractor with good community reputation, professional employees offering a high quality product. The windows are pricey, but I believe we are getting our money's worth. I am happy to recommend them to anyone in need of replacement windows. UPDATE: Our sales rep recommended that we also get our new front door from them. Door and installation from Home Depot was around $800, but from Reese the cost was $2350. The first door they delivered was the wroing door, the interior frame molding doesn't match the rest of the house, ther second door is better, but after telling me they could match the door from Home Depot, they they said they can't get it. Sales rep then quipped "Well, windows are really our business . That's whqat we're best at. Doors are really a sideline. Threshold is a tripping hazard, and they still haven't finished caulking the inside top of the door frame. It took me four called to get a callback on the caulking. As good as their window servicw is, the door service is bad. 5 stars for the windows. NO stars for the door.
