Prior to making my final committment, I researched the Miami-Dade County Building Code Compliance Office to verify the manufacturer Regency Plus Inc. met the requirements for the Florida and Miami-Dade County, Large and Small Missile Impact Protocol. This information was also avaliable at the Regency web site www.regencypluswindows.com where you could download the Notice of Product Certification issued by the Natiojnal Certified Testing Laboroties provided to Regency Plus, Inc. and incorporated into the Miami-Dade County Notice Of Acceptance ( NOA ) insuring it's High Velocity Hurricane Zone application. Reviewing the various guarantees and pledges made by Regency Plus Inc. in support of the Conservation Windows about to be purchased ; Lifetime Transferable Non-Prorated Warranty, Lifetime Glass Breakage Non-Prorated Transferable Limited Warranty,Energy Pledge and the Free Lifetime Service Pledge. In all cases not including Acts of God. I believed this was an excellant product. The remaining issue, installation. Fortunationaly, my neighbor across the street had installed the Regency Plus windows a couple of years ago by the same company that I was working with; Reece Builders/Windows, Inc. I looked over the installation carefully and the product, it looked fine to me. My neighbor was very happy with the product and the installation. The windows we're of exceptional quality and professionally installed. At that point, I was ready to sign up. Within four weeks of the order ( July 2nd ) , the windows arrived and installed on July 29th, 2010. The seventeen windows we're of exceptional quality and professionally installed. Inspected by the City of Largo on August 12th, 2010. Unsolicited, the Inspector stated that this was an excellant installation. Also stating that he never had a questionable evaluation of any window installation by Reece Builders of St, Petersburg. Upon completion the following documentation was provided; 1. Manufactures Certificate statment complying to the " American Reinvestment & Recovery Act of 2009. ( Income Tax Credit ) 2. Lifetime Glass Breakage Non-Prorated Transferable Limited Warranty. 3. Lifetime Transferable Non-Prorated Warranty to New Owners. 4. Lifetime Guarantee of Free Service including labor, workmanship and materials. 5. Energy Savings Pledge. Pledges a savings of at least 40. % of energy consumption satisfying the Energy Savings Requirements. Everyone I worked with; Chris Garner ( General Manager ), Shannon, Henry, Charlie, Howard and Jason we're very cooperative and up front. I believe I made a good purchase. Additionally, increasing the value of my home.

Not enough space to go into detail. We arrogantly signed the loan papers with a verbal promise that the known defects would be taken care of within the week. It was our understanding the "bank" would call to ensure our satisfaction and they would call before processing the loan. Another lie. It's been an ongoing nightmare ever since 11/14/07. Two screens with holes, (fixed). Crooked storm track (fixed.) Large smear inside of patio slider window, fixed, but employee (Charles) destroyed locking mechanism while putting in whole new panel, not just the glass as was told to us by Henry. Door now does not line up with lock. Still waiting for repair. Defective 3 slider window finally replaced. Albeit, UPSIDE DOWN, among other deficiencies. Locks do not line up anymore there either although they are at least able to be locked. Jason called on 1/04/08 to say parts to fix slider lock will be on "the next truck". Window parts would be a week or so. Today, 2/5/08, we are still waiting.

Everybody that we worked with was great, from their salesman to the receptionist when we called to the installers. They guarantee that the windows save 40% on your electric bill or they pay the difference! AND they come with double lifetime warranty. The windows are beautiful and they will more than pay for themselves within the next couple of years. They installed in one day! There is no fine print on the contract like the other contractors. I am so happy with this company. We have people knocking on our door asking for the company's name and phone number.
