Description of Work: Gulf Coast Roofing, gave me an estimate for both, fixing three spots as well as replacing the whole roof. I was quoted $ 1600 for repairs for three spots and $ 6000 for complete re-roof.

Description of Work: I really appreciated the company calling us to set up an appointment immediately after I purchased the deal. They were prompt, scheduled our service within one week, and did a great job. We hired them to fix our kitchen sink and cabinet after we had a water leak. They replaced our sink, faucet, and the wood in the bottom of the cabninet. Since they sent two workers, one worked on the sink and the other re-caulked a bathtub.

Description of Work: I called for estimate, set the time and they were on time. The entire contact was explained line by line to me. Wxplained the roofing product and how they would complete the small flatter roof on the back porch.. Had a little communication issuess in the begining but all went smoothly after that.

Description of Work: They inspected the existing roof to determine remediation needed They determined a new roof was needed They put a temporary cover on the roof They installed a new low slope flat carlise 45 mil TPO roof, which is expected to last 30 years. Specifically, it is an ASTM 2" polyisocyanurate roof insulation ISO) with building code fasteners and plates to the existing deck. All seams were heat welded. Also installed new termination bars, inner and outer corner flashings and other flashings as needed.

Description of Work: Galen was at first quite responsive and I had a good feeling about working with this company. But the process/finished product was a huge disappointment.. FIrst, the final price was twice the amount quoted - so many "add-opns" once the work started! Getting the notice of commencement signed was a struggle - I had to ask for it several times and they kept sending me different paperwork, so the start was delayed by several weeks. There was no notice that a tractor trailer driven by a rude, impatient man would be delivering the tiles the next morning. My house is in a historic area; narrow brick street and hex block sidewalks. This guy (ABC Supply) shows up one morning around 8:00 yelling at me and my neighbors to move our cars. When our response was not fast enough, he backed over the curb and sidewalk, crumbling a portion of it. Getting it fixed involved 13 weeks of drama between Gulf Coast Roofing, the supplier, the CIty of St. Petersburg and me. I finally hired someone to fix it myself. Prior to my new roof, the roof on my home never leaked. Galen's crew had torn off most of the material over the main house when we all noticed a storm approaching. They took off without covering the roof and now I have large stains on the ceiling in my living room, dining room and kitchen. When I showed th stains to the team leader the next day, his response was "Yep, that happens." No offer to repair. Another incidenet was when the AC (new 2012) suddenly stopped working. It was discovered that "the line" was too close to the roof. The roofers had cut through it by mistake. So I paid my AC service $700 to repair, but they said Gulf Coast Roofing should have identified the line and steered clear of it.

Description of Work: Mr Lohmyer's company repaired several areas of our roof that needed repair. Roofing is one of the repair services that very few of us know about or understand and it is necessary to completely trust the repairman. Mr Lohmyer checked the work in progress and subsequently checked the repairs when completed. He observed another area that he felt required repair and sent his repairmen back at no additional charge. We had an additional repair done in September of 2011 that was once more accomplished in a highly satisfactory manner...I can't emphasize enough that I believe Mr Lohmeyer is an honorable, trustworthy business man and I recommend him without qualification.

Description of Work: I have to say that I was a bit disappointed. We contacted them in response to an Angie's List big deal. The ad was for a full new roof at a discounted price. I forget the actual numbers but it was something like a full roof for a 2000sq ft house for $6999. Well, our house is 2500 sq ft so we assumed that the same discount formula would apply. We knew we would not get a full roof for that price but again, figured the same discount formula would be applied to the actual cost for our specific job. Our quote was over 15K. We have received other full price quotes for about the same so we don't think the quote was completely unreasonable for our roof... BUT, where is the discount offered? We called them because of a special offer and then were given a quote equal to others we have received with no discount. When I shared the other quotes, they ultimately offered to match the price but I did not feel that the ad or offer was genuine in the fist place. The gentleman on the phone (owner I think) was very nice and to be fair, they did finally offer to negotiate. I just didn't like the ad tactic. I have become a bit skeptical of the Angie's List "deals" as this is not the first time this has happened so I don't put all the blame on the company, Under other circumstances, we might have chosen them.

Description of Work: On July 31, 2012 we had Gulf Coast Roofing come out and fix a leak we had in our roof. When I called to make an estimate appointment they were very prompt and accommodating. We had had a lot of rain in days prior and were expecting some more. That made our situation a bit more urgent. Even though I had called numerous roofing companies, none were able to meet with us right away. However, Gulf Coast Roofing made time for us. Met with Tim Rice. I felt very comfortable with him and his knowledge of what needed to be done. He even took the time to explain in detail what was needed and why. Their price was also very reasonable. It took them about 2 1/2 hours to fix the problem. I was very pleased with the outcome. I was more pleased after the fact, given that, the day after they fixed the roof it rained ALL day. Tim saved us!!

Description of Work: There was a leak in the roof that had gotten very bad. It leaked into a hall closet, across the celing of the hall, and into a bedroom. It had caused major mold damage on some of the roof wood so this wood had to be replaced. It was in a very difficult area to reach. I asked Gulf Coast Roofing to fix everything.

Description of Work: Gulf Coast Roofing replaced the existing tile roof with new, architectural shingles. Their workmanship is high quality and the final product looks great. The pricing was competitive. We are very happy with our purchase.
