We had a problem with a Cam light which did not turn on. They quoted based on the prediction that the work hours will be about three hours. I turned out it was only a 30 minute simple work They charged $580 for a 30 minute job!!!! What a rip off!!! I would find a different company next time.

It went fine. He sold me a whole house surge protector and then it was offered by Angie's List a week later for $120. It cost me $500. I thought that was a rip off. The work was good. I could use them again.

They reviewed some electrical issues I had. Turned out it was all simple GFI issues so the solution was simple but they were very professional and courteous in their approach.

The advertisement says that the parts and labor are covered - But they say only parts The advertisement says that it covers the TV and Computers - But the product says they do not cover. Their business model isn't great. Will never be buying their service. Requesting a full refund of the service immediately.

Outstanding service. Scheduling the appointment was quick and easy. They called 30 minutes before arrival and the electrician was punctual and professional. The electrician installed the lights quickly. The lights look and work great.

Think twice. They never contacted me to schedule after I paid for their services.

They were very expensive. He educated me about the cost about outdoor lighting.

I had been haivng troulbe with a few outlets over the past year and since I'm selling my house, I wanted to get things in order. The problem seemed to be one loose wire in one outlet, but he checked all the ones in question to make sure.

The technician figured out a way to do it that did not require crawling through the attic. That would have been very difficult. He did a nice job with a very clean installation.

It went well. Technician was very professional and answered all my questions re: what needed to be done. He also gave me a price quote to install 4 ceiling fans. Only gave a B for price because I don't know enough about electrical work to know if this was a good price.

It didn't go well at all. What happened was that I had delayed having them come out for a couple of months because I just wasn't ready. When they did come out, they said that the electrical panel box that I had was not one they would work with. They didn't have any disclaimers or anything like that. They just said, "No. This is not one we work with." I checked it out online. It's an older electrical box that people are going back and forth about whether it should be replaced or not. But, at any rate, they refused to do the work. Then, they told me to get in touch with Angie's List and get a refund. But, when I tried that, I got an e-mail back that said that it was out of the 30-day window. So, they couldn't refund my money. I wasn't clear what Angie's List could do at that point, if anything, and so, I just haven't followed up. The guy said he couldn't work on it but he misidentified it. He didn't even identify the breaker box correctly. I had to go online and figure that one out. He was just like, "Oh, don't tell me you have this kind of box. No, I can't do any work on that." It would have been helpful if he would have said, "Here are some other alternatives," or anything like that. But, he didn't.

No problem! Professional, neat, qualified!

It didn't go well, I had already called the service provider to let them know what all I needed to have done. They told me once they arrived they weren't able to do the services, they were only there to give me a quote.

It was OK. They came out within a few weeks. We haven't had any surges. The main reason I called them was, they advertised an exhaust fan in the bathroom, and said that it was quiet. Ours was loud, they replaced it, and it is just as loud as ours was. It's updated and nice, but it is loud. The surge protector was nice and I would recommend the exhaust fan, but they need to quit saying that it is quiet. It's definitely more attractive. It was just the issue with the fan.

The appointment was quick with no issues. Unit is functioning well one year later.

The service man was polite, however, I had to ask him to wipe his feet as he was walking in the yard after it rained and wanted to come through my office with a wool rug. He also did not want to go through the attic in the garage and I asked him to wash his hands before he started touching the ceiling since i just had everything painted. He ended up leaving hand prints on the ceiling in my sewing studio. Overall, the price seemed exceptionally high for the amount of work.

It went well and would recommend Bolt Electric. The date of service is approximate date, because I don't remember, but I was defiantly please with their service.

Cost was more than I anticipated. Would shop around next time before committing

I purchased Bolt's service discount, $39 for $109 of work. They could not schedule me for two weeks. The date they were supposed to come they missed the 1-5 PM window, without a visit or a call, whereupon I called at 5:45 PM to tell them that it was too late in the day to come. They could not re-schedule me until yet another two weeks. I got a local electrican to come within two days and complete the work.

Everything went great Clayton explain everything and my three options gave me the price and did the work.

immediately identified root cause. problem was solved within 15 minutes. awesome!

It went well. I'd taken down the old light. There was a hole in the ceiling where the wires had come through and when the new light was put on, you could still see the hole against the back of the new light. The price was reasonable. One thing I noticed when they came out is that the service man made a point of giving me quotations for doing various other electrical upgrades that were not really necessary.

This was a $59 big deal purchase. It went okay. My issue still remains. They said it had something to do with some other item in my house in my kitchen. There was nothing negative. It took a little bit of time to schedule.

Quick and efficient. Installed in under an hour. Tech was friendly and knowledgeable. Agent came on time.

The team that did the work - two young gentlemen - were very professional, careful, and polite. They did excellent work and were quick as well. They offered to clean up after the installation as well. They rate an "A" for their skill and care. We did find this company a bit of a pain in the backside to get the work scheduled. They will not use the Angie's List scheduler or email for scheduling - only phone. When we first scheduled the work, having explained what needed to be done, we thought they would do the work that day. They did not, saying it had been a busy day and they would have to return to actually do the work. They scheduled for a day the following week, then cancelled the appointment. So it went yet another week. We also would caution that the coupon available through Angie's Deals ($39 for $109 of electrical service) does not cover much at all. It is basically a way for the company to get a foot in the door, then quote a price less the $109. For a simple job like ours, we really thought the deal from Angie's List would cover the cost. With those caveats, we would call Bolt again for service in the future - as the quality of their work outweighs the hassles involved in scheduling, and the cost which we now understand that good electrical work is more expensive than we would have guessed.
