Now that Bolt has put a whole house surge protector on my electrical panel, we are now protected against any kind of surge headache. They were prompt, did the job as advertised, and informed me to call if there were any problem with the install at a future date.

Description of Work: First of all the special for the entire house surge protector was fabulous. The owner of Bolt electric showed up to do my installation. The day prior I had just had an annual electrical inspection thru a company "service plan" that was part of purchasing my home. The guys before had looked at my electrical panel and told me that one breaker was a 30 amp and should be a 40 and next told me that my house needed a grounding system. Anyway, as the owner of Bolt went about installing the surge protector he knocked on my garage door and asked if he could show me something. He pointed to the same 30 amp breaker and said I want you to be aware that this type of breaker should not be used in this type of electrical panel. You really should not use your dryer until you get this replaced. He said this is really a hazard and then he pulled the breaker to look inside the panel and the back of the breaker was melted and fortunately it had not cause any other issues. I asked him if he could just fix it and he said he didn't have the part because he was in his personal truck helphing out his guys today because they were so busy with fulfilling the deals for the surge protector installation but then he said you know there is a store not too far from here where i can get you this part. Let me run and get it and I'll fix it for you now. Anyway, he fixed it right up and then for the heck of it I asked him to look out where the other electrician was looking when he said I need an entire grounding system. He said that I didn't need any such thing. I intend on calling Bolt back for other needs I have.

Description of Work: They were punctual, super quick (took 10 minutes) and answered all my questions. Very professional. The only thing I wish they had done is include in the offer information about A/C not being included in the surge protection, but it is still a good deal.

While doing the installation, they noticed a couple of issues with our breaker box and provided estimates to address them. We chose not to do so at the time, but plan to look into the issues down the road.

Description of Work: Whole house surge protector was installed as offered however I was somewhat disappointed that there was no documentation, product information or specifications left behind. It would be nice to know or see exactly what it was that was installed and helpful to know it really is what is was advertised to be. Not complaining just sharing my thoughts for future promotions.

Description of Work: Bolt Electric advertised on Angies list a whole house surge protector for $69 - which I signed up for. I sent Bolt an email asking if they would also put one on my pool equipment circuit breaker box while they were here. Bolt's electricians arrived on time, were well dressed with Bolt Electic shirts, were friendly and progessional. They explained what they were doing and how the surge protector worked, and qickly installed both surge protectors. I will definitely call Bolt Electic for future electrician needs.

Description of Work: I feel it appropriate to rate Patrick and Bolt at this point even though the work I want done is not as of yet completed. I have several lights I woant switched out and don't feel comfortable caulking/sealing the fixtures in place so I went looking for the professional. The price for the work I believe is outstanding since you will get quality work at a nominal charge above a service fee. That to me is where customer service earns your business. 2 days after I purchased this Big Deal, Patrick called me and congratulated me on my purchase and asked if he could schedule a time at "my" convenience. Unfortunately, I have 2 of my 3 fixtures on order and will not be able to have him do the work until early December. However, again, it was nice to get a professional and quick personal phone call regarding my work. After the work is done I will rate Patrick and Bolt on the actual work performed. If the work being done (and I expect it will be) is anything like the customer service, Bolt will receive nothing but an Outstanding.
