Bolt Electric

Jeremy was nice and informative & punctuality was an issue but the weather was bad. Not really his fault.

I OWE BOLT ELECTRIC AN APOLOGY. I had a previous review removed where I had given Bolt Electric of Sarasota, FL an “F” rating because I thought they had misled me. Instead, it was my home warranty company, American Home Shield, that sent out an incompetent electrician that misled me. Bolt Electric has gone above and beyond in an effort to protect my home from a potential electrical fire. Initially, Bolt Electric identified serious electrical problems with my main electrical panel. I informed them I had a home warranty and needed to contact my warranty company in order to get the work done. My warranty company sent an electrician out who informed me that there was nothing wrong with my electrical panel and informed the home warranty company of the same. I was very upset and felt I had been misled—and scared—unnecessarily by Bolt. After seeing my negative review, Patrick, the owner of Bolt, personally called me and even sent out Dean, a Senior Field Supervisor to conduct an analysis on my electrical panel at no charge. Patrick then sent me written documentation of the problems, citing the specific code violations and included close up photos of the damage. He even offered to speak with American Home Shield on my behalf regarding the concerns (they declined). Both Dean and Patrick thoroughly explained—and showed me—the problems so I could go back to my warranty company. Bolt also provide me with a written estimate to do the work, which they said included a 10-year warranty. I reported the facts to American Home Shield requesting they allow Bolt to perform the necessary work. My warranty company said they needed to send a senior person from their electrical contractor to evaluate my electrical panel. I requested they send a competent electrician this time. The second electrician from the warranty company concurred with the issues identified by Bolt and apologized for their previous electrician’s response. They also provided a written estimate for doing the work, which included a 2-year warranty. At this point, I am fighting with my warranty company to cover the cost for the necessary electrical work, which I would prefer Bolt perform. The bottom line is that Bolt Electric demonstrated real concern for my welfare and my property. Sure, they would like to get the work, but they expended extra time and effort in order to help me at their own expense. This demonstrated to me that they really do care about both their customers and maintaining the good reputation they have earned.

Some wires came loose at a switch plate. They had to reconnect.

Outstanding service, will definitely call them again for electrical work. Jeremy showed up and asked some clarifying questions to determine where to start. Gave me an initial quote on the potential work and explained the options. He confirmed the problem with deliberate and progressive troubleshooting and repaired the fault. He was professional throughout, explaining what he was doing, why he was doing it, and what it meant to the overall repair. More importantly, the end price was the same as the quote, no BS about additional stuff.

Jerry called Ahead and arrived when he said he would. He analyzed the issue and made good recommendations on how to proceed.

I thought I just needed a bathroom light replaced but the real problem is my electrical panel which I have scheduled to have a new one installed.

Jeremy arrived in the designated time window and was personable & professional. Surge protector if installed.

Once upon a time there was a knock on the door.Technician grabbed a bag or tools & proceeded to knock stuff down replaced stuff & went with a big check.

Was executed with no problems/approx 30 minutes.

Dean & Nicholas on time (actually early) professional and very good.

It went well. At was a troubleshooting issue he figured it out and fixed it.

Good – on time informative, polite.

Electric on performed took friendly, knowledgeable and well trained I certified in his area of expertise.

My electrician was Jeremy and he was very good and personable. If I have future work I would want him to come back to my house. I'm not sure about the price because I have nothing to compare it to since they were the first electricians to come out but the quotes seemed fairly reasonable. Overall I was pleased with the entire process.

Dean detected cause of failure in communication system and recommended necessary repairs which were made as scheduled.

Inspected electrical panel’s recommendations, provided estimates: than installed external outlet quickly. Very reasonable, very professional. Great job!

Our appointment was for 2:00 PM, he arrived on time , was very pleasant. Told him what we needed he opened the box and moved some wires. The job took all of 15 minutes. Will not hesitate to have Bolt Electric do another job.
