VSL Computer services

The IT man arrived promptly at our house. Ben was polite in answering our questions and careful in handling the equipment. After analyzing the problem, he called his office to find out what a new motherboard would cost and the approximate time for the repair and return of the computer. We gave him the approval to repair the machine. The first motherboard sent to VSL was the wrong size and had to be reordered. The same IT man, Ben, brought our repaired computer back, set it up and realized a part to connect with our printer was missing. Ben left and brought back the part later the same day. Our computer is now working well. While there was a delay in returning the repaired computer, we still would do future business with VSL.

Very professional and prompt. The company informed me about the progress of the work and explained exactly what was done. I have already used them for a second computer.

Everyone connected with the business is very helpful. They appreciate the necessity of getting our computers, printer, etc. back into service ASAP. When the computers are down, my husbands business essentially stops. Sheldon and company have gone out of their way to be responsive to our business needs. We will continue to use their excellent service.

I had gotten the "sometimes fatal blue screen" on my computer. Sheldon came to my house. He was punctual, professional and knowledgeable about his work. He diagnosed my problem and fixed it. He explained to me what he was doing as he went along. He also made a suggestion for a back up process in the future so I can take the fear out of the experience should anything like that happen again.

Very well. They picked up my computer, fixed it, and returned it to me on a Sunday! I left it with them while I was out of town, and they graciously returned it over the weekend, so I could catch up on my work before Monday morning. They went out of their way to make me happy.

The repairman that came to pick up the computer said they would install the card for just the cost of the card and no labor. I also purchased additional memory. When the repairman returned my computer he didn't properly attach the monitor to the computer. He just placed the plug over the socket, he didn't bother to screw the plug into the computer. This caused constant problems, I kept losing my monitor and having to reboot. I thought the programs weren't working properly. Every time I called VSL the offered to send a repairman the next day. I work from home and can not afford to be without a computer. I finally called the company from which I purchased the monitor and they helped me attach the monitor to the computer.

He was very knowledgeable, personable, prompt, and the price was right for the time he spent here. We were very pleased.

He was great. He responded in the same day and his performance was outstanding.

The price reflects 3 visits - The first 2 visits involved the lemon (computer) I bought and returned to the company. The 3rd visit we had the wireless working, but inadvertently having several firewalls was blocking the networking and he straightened it out for us. I only wish we'd known we needed to return the unit before we hired him, but that wasn't Sheldon's fault.

They took my computer and let me use his laptop until my computer was fixed. They had to order a part from Dell and I had my computer back in four days. They were knowledgeable and efficient. They gave me unbelievable service! They didn't even charge to replace the circuit board.

He came out and looked at the computer and found that is was a hardware issue and so he was unable to fix it. I thought it was really nice that he didn't charge me. He said "I don't charge if I can't fix".

I will never use anyone else for my computer services! Other computer techs could not fix my problem but Shelton at VSL did. He arrived on time, answered my questions and fixed my problem. There was even a mistake on my part where he billed us and I paid him twice and he called to make me aware of the issue- very honest and ethical.

Awesome! Sheldon put us at ease from the minute he started working on our laptops. Again, very professional and personable.

We have used this company in the past and were pleased on both occasions was here quite a while. The technician came on time and worked and worked really hard. We would use them again.

I thought I had a computer virus. The technician told me, and showed me, that when I had downloaded an annual update to my Norton Security it had been installed as a new program instead of an upgrade and the different Norton programs were preventing me from accessing the internet. He also solved two problems I had with my printer/scanner with a few minutes.

I definitely would use VSL again and have already recommended the computer services to others. I keep his cards at the computer and on the refrigerator for any future problems.

Never showed up for appointment - did not call.

Sheldon is very professional and always returns phone calls in a reasonable time frame. I thought my computer had "died" but Sheldon was able to return my computer to me with my hard drive back working and no data was lost! I was so happy to feel I could trust someone with my pertinent data.

Once I made contact with Sheldon, I was impressed with his promptness and responsiveness. He communicated everything necessary very clearly with no surprises. He was professional and punctual. I was very happy to have my computer back with no loss of data.

The above is in comparison to having another company out, and they made an appt. for 6 days from the day I called. When the other company came out for 1 hour, said he couldn't find anything wrong and to call him if it happened again. I did and waited another 6 days for him to come out, he brought a new power pack with him, but it did not fit, and he was saying "I don't know what else to do." I had been without my computer for 2 weeks, so I told him that I would take another avenue to fix my problem, and AM I GLAD THAT I DID.

I would definitely use him again for any new problems.

It works like a dream now. He did wonderfully well. Everything could not have been better. He was very careful. He gave me the Angie's List discount and I hadn't even asked for it. I highly recommend him to anybody with computer problems.
