He does an excellent job. I trust him completely. Typically he comes out while I'm at work, does whatever is needed and calls me for a credit card. I've done business with him for years and plan to continue.

Glenn Hardy was excellent. The bathroom had been zapped by a lightning strike and the whirlpool was completely knocked out. He rewired the whirlpool and put a new switch in. He even had to go underneath the house as part of the job. I felt that his charge was pretty reasonable for all the stuff that he did. He was very nice and prompt, and he did a good job.

I gave this provider "C's" because the service was mediocre. When I first called on the phone, he answered right away. I described my non-functional spa and let him know that I know nothing about them and that this spa had been purchase with our home a year ago. I asked if he would be able to diagnose any problems, discuss the costs of the repair, fix it and also teach me how to maintain the spa. He said he had been doing this for 20 years and he would be able to do those things. We arranged for an appointment and he arrived right on time (even a little early). I showed him the areas where O-rings needed to be replaced. He was able to determine that the pump worked, but said that he would have to order the needed O-ring due to the age and manufacturer of the spa. We agreed to a tentative appointment for the following Friday, but that he would call to confirm if the part arrived. He didn't call, but I called and we confirmed. He arrived promptly for the second appointment. Proceeded to replace the O-rings, filled the spa, and tested the heater. However, at this point, he called me out to point out another valve that was leaking and said, "I knew there was like a 90% chance that valve would leak". Then he told me that the manufacturer had its own mechanics, and that they wouldn't be willing to sell him that part, so I would have to take the thing apart, go to the store (which is not at all close to my home) and work with them to get the part. I was more than a little frustrated that he had known the type of spa I had from his previous visit, divulged to me that he thought the valve would leak, and then still left me with an inoperable spa. I also asked about how to go about getting the water treated and maintained and he suggested that I just to to a pool and spa store since the chemicals he carried would likely not be my best choice. Well, I took the valve apart, found the O-ring that needed to be replaced and was happy to find one at a home improvement store that did not leak (for $2). We set the spa on warm and it ran for 24 hrs before I went to spend $50 on chemicals. Then we treated the water, turned it up to hot and before long, the whole thing shut off. My guess is there is either a thermostat issue or an overheating issue. Regardless, I am not sure if this is something he should have tested or diagnosed, but I am again left without an operational spa after all my headache and $200. Of course, given my experience, I don't feel a call back to the Spa Mechanic to ask about the issue would yield much result. At a rate of $80/hr, I would have expected more.

They did a very good job for me. His rates were very reasonable and he finished the job quickly and knew exactly what he was doing, and made the whirpool jacuzzi more convenient for use.

We purchased the spa and Mr. Hardy came in just a few days to install our jacuzzi. Mr. Hardy was right on time and he was very quick. We like to deal with people like this. I really praise Mr. Hardy's work and reputation. I would give him an A plus!
