WHITT'S SEPTIC TANK SERVICE

Made an appointment for 3pm on Tuesday for pump out. They showed up earlier after checking by telephone first. They dug up & found the inspection plate before I arrived. They informed me that field drains and over all condition of septic tank was satisfactory,& recommended pumping out every3 to 4 years. They placed the dirt on plastic and replaced It neatly back over the inspection plate. The yard was left relatively in good condition. I would use them again.

It went very well, they did good work and I was happy with the service.

Fantastic, well mannered young man did an excellent job. He answered all our questions. He has a customer for life. Thank you again for a great job. I very highly recommend this company and will tell all my friends, neighbors, and family to use them.

Seemed great at the time, but not knowing enough about septics, I had to have ti pumped again in 1 year where I am told it should be 5 yrs before service is needed again ...

It was a good service. They were great, awesome and they did a good job. They were timely, courteous and clean.

We had been experiencing problems with back up into toilets. We called Whitt's, and Gary came out to investigate. He dug out around the end of the tank and discovered that the pipe had become dislodged. He then continued on to dig into one of the septic lines to verify that the field was draining properly. It was not; in fact, it had collapsed. He then removed the old drain field and installed a new one better suited to the sandy soil in our yard. He was professional, polite and careful to explain to us what he was doing and why at every step of the process.

Technicians were on time and very knowledgeable. I am a Realtor and they taught me so much about a Septic System. I would Highly Recommend Whitt's and its a wise Idea to get a Pre-purchase Inspection to protect you or your Buyers Investment.

Never having lived in a home with a septic system before, we had no idea what was wrong with ours. From the first contact by phone, Whitt's did a great job. They were prompt (early!), got the work done in good time and were very clear in their explanations of the work needed. They even raked the dirt around our pump after the job was done! You never know what you're going to get when look for someone to fix something you know nothing about! Whitt's gets an A++ Thanks!

It was a pleasure to work with Whitts. They scheduled a time to pump our system promptly (2 days from our call). They came on-time and found the "dig-out" to access the septic tank. They noted that the prior company we used (no longer n business) had not correctly pumped the system previously. They fixed this - no extra charge. Also, they moved a small bush that had been planted over the tank entry (accidently) - again no extra charge. Their attitude was pleasant and professional. This is an excellent organization that gives first-class service!

We are first time septic system owners, with a unique property that often has a leery of new service contractors coming out to either do work or give estimates, mostly because we have had bad experiences with those who would simply take advantage or quote the work based on what they see on our property. From making the appointment, addressing our concerns and needs, to finishing the service, everything went smooth and the staff was professional and efficient. The technicians that came to our property were knowledgeable and helpful. The guys were understanding of our concerns, and addressed everything from making suggestions on how to make the bi-annual services easier and less intrusive to our landscaping, to monthly upkeep we could perform to keep our system running smooth without issues. Extremely satisfied and would definitely use again and recommend to anyone needing this type of service.

Went with another company due to price and ability to start immediately. Whitt's was very professional, friendly and I'm certain they would have done an excellent job.

It went OK. I was surprised that he was so amazed that the recently fixed (by his company) high effluent alarm had not gone off. He knew something but wasn't telling. When this company pumps out your tank, the liquid level is left in tact, so a customer cannot see if they really get all of the solid waste pile resting on the bottom of the tank. Other companies literally empty your tank and you can see that there is not even one gallon in there when they are done. See my other reviews.

A call was made and the owner of the business came out with a man who was being trained. They located the lift tank and excavated down about 16 inches to open up the hatch of the lift tank. There were moss like tree roots which they fished out with a shovel. Then they grabbed a hold of the alarm float switch that would sense a too high effluent level and activate the alarm. That switch seemed to work fine and so the theory was that the roots were holding that alarm float switch up, even though with electricity turned on, the pump had just recently turned on lowering the effluent level to the low mark. They let the float switch dangle by its cord into the tank and called the repair good without testing. Testing would have involved letting water from a nearby garden hose fill the lift tank to its high mark and verify that the alarm float switch was even higher than this. If they would have done that test, they would have seen that it was necessary to tie-wrap the cord of the alarm float switch to a higher level. They didn't test. They just let the alarm float switch hang down into the tank. They put the hatch cover back in place and filled with dirt. I paid them and they left. I agreed to make a follow up appointment where the company would pump out the septic tank. I did and when that man came out five days later, he was surprised that my alarm had not gone off. If the house would have been occupied with more water consumption it would have. But since the house was vacant it took more than a week for enough water to be used to raise the level to the high mark and set the un-fixed alarm off. From the man's reaction about the alarm having not gone off, I can infer that they suspected that the system was not repaired properly, talked about it, and yet they did not call me to give me a warning. I resent that they did not appreciate my business enough to be straight with me and call me to warn me that there was a good chance that the alarm would go off again and how that should be handled. More service dollars or free warranty service? So I had my maintenance man open it up and test the high and low points using water from the hose and then tie wrap the alarm float switch so that it was well above the high point. Moral of the story: Always demand that any new installation or repair (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) be tested before they leave and don't use any company that will not test their work. Report companies that don't test here so we can avoid them.

Manuel and Brandon called in advance to let us know they were on their way. They came directly to the house and started working. No upselling ; just good'ol conversation... Both were extremely polite and did a wonderful and thorough job. The areas was cleaned up upon completion of the task ... they advised me that they will call in about 3 years to let me know it is time again to have the septic pumped... Hard to find goo honest labor like these kids demonstrated... kudos!!!

Hired this company to pump out and inspect my septic tank. The tank was within inches of overflowing and it took them 5 days to get someone out but they did show up at 8 AM on saturday as promised. They sent a sub-contractor, not the company I had hired. When I asked about the condition of my septic field the technician replied with "I don't know, it's hard to tell. Just wait about a month for the tank to fill again and if it overflows or backs up into the house I guess it's not working right!". I had noticed a small leak where the drain pipe from the house entered the tank and when I asked about that, he told me to seal it up with some hydraulic cement. No offer or quote to perform the work for me. Not being experienced in this type of repair, I tried to seal it myself but it is still leaking. Until the leak is sealed I doubt it will overflow or back up into the house just continue to seep into the yard. I guess I will have to hire a different contractor and pay for another pump-out.

They showed up on time and even called me when they were on their way. I was very pleased with their service. They were great to deal with and they provided me with additional information regarding the septic tank. I found them to be very helpful.

Early that morning we had the alarm go off on our lift station pump. I called Whitts Septic and was amazed that Gary was at my door within two hours. He assessed our complicated system of two pumps, two float switches and one alarm and quickly diagnosed the problem. It did not need any repair, just getting it all plugged in correctly--my fault. At that point Gary was very professional as he thoroughly explained how the system works along with each component part. He told me how to determine which element could be going out in the future and how to rule out the working systems when that day comes. He answered my many questions and seemed to enjoy my interest in understanding. To my surprise he would not take any money when we were done. He had driven quite a distance, but refused my insistence that I at least pay him for his service call. I will definitely call this professional if I ever need any septic type of work in the future! This guy was a delight as he put the customer above himself. Amazing.

Had a problem with the septic tank pump, which pumps waste water into the drain field. We noticed it because of the odor and overflow from the tank cover in the yard. I called two other companies who couldn't get to us and was referred to this company. The crew was able to get to me on the same day and diagnosed the problem within minutes. They didn't have the part immediately available (a pump float switch and 20-foot cable) and said they had to order it. They willingly instructed me on how to manually start the pump and how long to keep it running, said they would order the part and return when they had it. The same guys showed up three days later, installed the part and were finished within an hour. The cost was reasonable, given the fact that they got to me on the same day I called.

I wanted to pick a contractor from Angie's List this time for the septic tank clean out so I contacted Whitt's. They gave me an appointment for the same day!! The owner's son, Brandon, came out with a helper. Very nice young men. Brandon even educated me on the septic tank system. They were very, very quick and the price was even cheaper than the clean out from another company a few years ago!!I will use this company again!!

Called for septic tank clean out and received prompt appointment. In spite of the inclement weather, the team arrived and completed the work quickly and efficiently. They checked to make sure we were satisfied. I would definitely use their services again.

It went very well and I was impressed by the customer service they provided. They answered all of my questions and did an excellent job explaining things to me. I will definitely use them again in the future.
