Called Olson Appliance at approximately 12:45 on Thursday. By 1:45 the repair man was here. He knew what was wrong ( a thermostat issue) and fixed it very promptly in about 45 minutes. Since he was so fast, I asked him to look at our other refrigerator which will only give us crushed ice from the door. He gave a diagnosis and we will discuss whether we can live without cubed ice or not. I also had him look at a burned out element on our smooth top cook top. He said that he doesn't have a lot of experience with those and we didn't take it much further other than he said it might not be the burner at all, but perhaps the control element. All in all the service was fast, reliable and friendly. Would recommend Olson Appliance to others in the neighborhood as well as use them again ourselves.

I called on a Monday and got an appointment for Wednesday. The repairman was kind of vague on when he'd be there, which I can understand when you are not exactly sure what the morning repairs will bring. He said after noon, and was there by 1:30. He looked clean and respectable and got the job done fairly quickly. He had the spare part in his van so he didn't have to leave and reschedule.

Outstanding experience from start to finish. I explained the symptom to Ken when I placed the call and he knew immediately what the problem was. When he arrived on the service call, he confirmed the problem and removed the defective solenoid. He had to order the part and called the next day to schedule the installation. Provided prompt, knowledgeable, and efficient service with a fair price. Olson will be my first call when I need appliance service in the future.

Overall, very satisfied. I trust the guy.

Tom was prompt, friendly, and helpful. It took two trips and extra effort on his part, but only charged me the $49 service fee.

Above what he charged for circuit board, he only asked $45 for service call and $24 for labor. Considering all he did I thought it was quite reasonable. Nice fellow too.

He did a very thorough job and he was very easy to work with. I was pleased with the bill, because he could have charged me a whole bunch more. He spent a long time working on the dryer and trying to find the parts to repair it, however in the end he determined that it would be more cost effective for me to purchase a new dryer.

My 7 year dishwasher quit working. I decided to call Olson Appliances because of its good ratings on Angie's list. Ken came out twice, once to investigate the problem and provide an estimate for fixing, second to do the repair two days later. In both cases he was very prompt, courteous, and informative. He discovered deficiencies in how the dishwasher had been installed in the first place, and fixed those in addition to the primary problem of a burnt out motor that needed to be replaced.

My freezer kept thawing out and re-freezing. I called Olson and they came out the next day. Tom looked at my freezer and immediately found the problem which was a bad relay switch. He did not have the part with him, but put a temporary switch on until he could get a new one ordered. He called me later that day and said the new part would be in the next day and he would be out to put it in, which he did. My freezer has been working well ever since.

This service cycle was as they all should go. I called late afternoon and was met by pleasant, knowledgeable people. They agreed to service me the next day and that they would call around 8:30A once they had their schedule planned. They called at 8:30A the next day and asked if being here at 10:30A was OK. At 10:30A, Mr Olson arrived and appeared to be the consummate appliance repair person. He looked at the machine, asked a few questions, and quickly located the problem being a broken part. He said he likely had it on his truck and in 30 minutes total visit, he took apart the washer, replaced the part with new, bolted it up and was finished. He was pleasant, experienced and did a thorough job. Central Casting could not have produced a more perfect person whose business is exactly what I very much needed. The washing machine is working perfectly and I am proud to have his company's foil sticker on my machine should I or an acquaintance need his number quickly. I highly recommend everyone to use Olson Appliance. I originally chose this company based on the positive results on Angie's List. The service, price and satisfaction even exceeded my expectations.

He took the time to call around and check to see if he could find the part that I needed before letting me know that I should just get it replaced. He also did this without coming out so that I wouldn't be charged a service call. If you're ever in the market, dont' buy a combination microwave!

Great! He got here a little early and figured out the problem quickly. He defrosted the freezer and replaced the broken switch. We were afraid we would be shopping for a new refrigerator as this one is 9 years old. We've used Sears in the past, but have never gotten same day service from them, ever. This was a wonderful surprise to have such good service, on the same day as we called with our problem, and at a very reasonable cost.

He didn't have the part with him when he came out on Friday (same day that I called him). Ordered the part which came in late on Monday afternoon. Came out at a time convenient for me on Tuesday and quickly replaced the part. He was on time or early each time and fixed the problem. He also showed me how to make some adjustments on the ice maker if I thought it was necessary and told me the best ways to clean the coils on the bottom of the fridge. His service call charge was $39 and half-hourly rate of $30 (he only charged a single 1/2 hour for the whole job) were reasonable. The part was $90 (the cheapest I could find online, not including taxes and shipping was $50). I understand they don't give it to us at cost and need to make a bit of profit on it. I think it was also reasonable, but a bit more than I would prefer. Ken was professional and honest. I would use him again if I am not able to do the work myself.

Troubleshot problem quickly. Returned 2 days later to replace switch. Cleaned up after himself.
