Pay Per Load Movers

The two fellows that unloaded my PODS and set up my furniture did a fantastic job despite the overwhelming heat of the day.They were prompt, took no breaks, were professional and courteous. The job went flawlessly. I would recommend them without reservation. A great price for the work performed.

Everything went great. These guys did a much better job then the last company we used. I originally scheduled them for 2 hours just to move some of the heavier items. Once they got there, my wife was so happy with how they were doing, she asked if they could stay longer and do all the smaller boxes and other various moving of items. They even disassembled and reassembled some furniture. They ended up staying for 5.5 hours. This was a very tough move, lots of heavy stuff and some of it had to go up a narrow stair case. Not to mention it was raining on and off all day. These guys did it all happily. They also too great care moving everything. There wasn't one thing that got damaged. Another thing to note is they have a nice set up for moving. A very large truck, power lift gate, a bunch of dollies straps etc.... The last company I hired pulled up in a Penske rental truck. That's never a good sign. I probably could have saved a few bucks if I went with an Angie Deal and another mover, but I'm glad I didn't. This was the first time I've used Angies list for anything. I hope I get this lucky with my next hires.

Derek, the owner, arrived on time at 9 am with two assistants which he introduced. Everyone was very pleasant and ready to go to work. Derek and I walked the house, he was deciding as to how best to load the truck to maximize the use of its' capacity. The team got to work right away, wrapping everything in moving blankets and shrink wrap. I was pleasantly surprised of the respect they showed in the way my furniture was treated. They worked steadily without a break. I had to tell them ( Derek worked as hard as the others) to take a break. You pay by the hour so they are conscientious about the time and want to provide you with great service. With the truck finally loaded, Derek said they'd stop lunch ( on their time) on the way to the other house. Everything was unloaded and unwrapped in a timely matter. It was a big job and everything arrived without incident. No breakage. No scratches. They took special care of the two flat panel TV's they moved. I felt the price charged was well worth the care and time they spent. I've used other movers in the past, but not had the great experience I had with Pay For Load. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. If you want to have a stress free move, put your mind at ease and hire this Company.

Derek and his 3 movers were by far the most accommodating and professional movers I have ever had!!! Derek was especially accommodating when I had to change my move date. They made moving stress free. I honestly can't say enough about the company. I will ALWAYS use them in the future!!!

I was so impressed with the service and the care the young men extended. I recommend them without any hesitation whatsoever and will definitely use this vendor again next year. Hopefully, I can get the same crew - they were outstanding! Courteous, professional, respectful, industrious, hard working - everything you could ask for and then some.

The guys were very professional, friendly, and got the job done without a hitch. They charge by the hour, so it was nice to see them working hard and moving fast the entire time. They packed the day before. It took about 3-4 hours for a 4 bedroom house. They then moved us over 8 hours on a Saturday. It only took that long because we essentially asked them to move our stuff to two locations (a condo at the beach and a place in Tampa). I highly recommend Derek and the team!!

This was our second move with Pay Per Load. Derek and his crew are outstanding. They arrived on time, worked efficiently and showed patience as we directed furniture placement. As with our first move, furniture was carefully wrapped and everything arrived at our new home as scheduled without any damage.

Derek and his two colleagues came to my home on time. When they arrived, they quickly took an assessment of what needed to be done and then jumped right in. They formed a plan to load my storage container, and began cafrefully filling it accordingly. We joked that they had to be good "Tetris" game players in order to fit everything in the container. They must have played a lot, because my container arrived in the Chicago area with the contents inside intact. Derek and his crew were friendly, hard-working guys who did a great job for me. Derek's pricing structure was very fair, especially when you consider the physical difficulties of moving in the Florida heat and humidity on a daily basis. I appreciated their efforts, and I certainly recommend them for your moving needs.

Let me start by saying I should own a moving company because we have moved 6 times in the last 7 years, mainly because I was transferred for my job. I say this because we have experience with 6 different moving companies from the high priced all inclusive Mayflower down to a couple guys and a truck for a local move similar to this one. Hands down Derek and his crew Brain and Jared were the BEST movers of all the movers we have had. We didn't get out of the move totally unscathed but you couldn't move your own house perfectly if you wanted to, we had one minor hiccup with our couch underlining getting a small cut. Derek offered to get it fixed of course. I only say this because I want to be totally forthcoming and as I said no move is 100% perfect when moving as much as we have. I also say this to further note that this small accident would and does not deter me from recommending Pay Per Load or from using them again. I would absolutely and will do both with out hesitation!!! One more detail that really stood out is Derek's attention to what I asked. We ask them to take special consideration to a couple of pieces and of course everyone does this and of course the movers should be careful with it all but when we asked without hesitation Derek told his guys, made sure the pieces where wrapped, basically all three of them took the pieces out watching doors, lifting, and wrapping them. It was all hands on deck if we asked for special care of something. Most of the time the movers will acknowledge your request and one of them may take an extra minute but nothing overboard like these guys. Finally, moving is hard work which is why we all hire someone. These guys were polite, efficient and really worked 100% the whole day. I truly cannot say enough. If you ask me for a recommendation I would say don't hesitate to call Derek and get your move done. You will not find any mover that is better than these guys.

Movers were very pleasant, helpful, efficient, and obviously very experienced. Company owner was on scene several times to assess special needs and/or progress of the two movers.

The movers, Derek & two helpers arrived on time and started work immediately. They were very fast & efficient movers. We were very impressed with the care they took with our furniture and used plenty of padding, etc. They disassembled beds and a heavy leather sofa to get through the doors and did an excellent job with all items they moved. They were very professional and Derek & his crew were very pleasant to work with. We were pleased with the cost and the final price came in a bit below the estimate. We would gladly hire them again and recommend them to others.

This was a local move within Sarasota, FL. The move was accomplished within the day with efficient time use. The two movers were courteous and hard working. They listened to and followed instructions. They took reasonable care of the items. Also the office was professional and courteous. They took a lot of the worries out of the move and did a good job. Recommended.

Locations were approx. 25 miles apart. Very friendly, punctual, careful, and quick.

During our move into a multistory condo, the mover?s actions caused the elevator to become inoperable. Please know that the moving team did hustle to move the remainder of our furniture up two flights of stairs. This, however, resulted in actual charges well in excess of the estimated amount. a few weeks after moving in, the condo association presented us with a $700 elevator service bill. We saw the stuck elevator similar to a piece of dropped furniture. Movers never intentionally damage furniture in a move, but clients are compensated for the cost of the damage. The moving team did not intentionally cause a malfunctioning elevator, but cause it they did. We were more than fair and offered to split the cost of the service call with the mover -- even though the stuck elevator was entirely a result of the mover?s actions. The mover disputed the bill and we paid the entire balance. We are disappointed in the mover?s response and will take future business elsewhere.

They had a lot of deliveries but my furniture was delivered and set up in my living room by 8:00PM. I wasmore than satisfied with how everything worked out.

I called around to movers on Angie's List and of those who responded, Derek had the best price. Derek and his assistant met me promptly at the agreed-upon time at the first of three pick-up locations scattered from north Sarasota to south Venice. Overhanging branches prevented Derek from bringing the big truck into the driveway, forcing him to leave it in front on the one-way street. To let people by, Derek shut the truck, started it up, pulled forward, and then backed up again. Derek betrayed no trace of annoyance -- he handled the situation better than I would have, had I been in his shoes. At the second location, they handled some very awkward furniture and narrow doorways with ease. After the third pickup, we finally made it to my new home in Osprey. Unloading required a long walk down a narrow path, then through narrow hallways. Everything went perfectly, but for one tiny nick on a door frame, for which Derek fairly compensated me. There was one brief awkward moment in which Derek claimed to be giving me a deal by not charging me for the time spent refolding his blankets at the end of the move -- certainly not something I would expect to be charged for when paying by the hour. But the bottom line is that Derek and his assistant did the job right for an excellent price and with friendly attitudes to boot. It's my pleasure to give this local entrepreneur a solid A rating.

Ben and Jared were extremely efficient, helpful, and patient. They were very careful with all our things and had to do some creative stacking to get everything into the storage unit. This was an unusually stressful move, but their can-do attitude and obvious experience REALLY helped!

My spouse and I were greatly impressed and pleased with the fantastic customer service we enjoyed in our arrangement with Pay Per Load Movers. We schedule a move on short notice, with severely limited budget. They were flexible, prompt, courteous and very efficient. They called ahead, arrived on time, introduced themselves and got right to work. These guys were sociable, hard working and highly professional. The job was completed in less than five hours. They were more than willing to go the "extra mile" and make the moving process easy on us. Excellent communication, written invoice, final cost was less than initial estimate. We couldn't have chosen a better company to help us move. These guys exceeded all our expectations (and my expectations are rather high). Highly recommended.

One of the worst moves I have had. Very disappointed in Angie's list and the reviews on this company. The owner did very little work himself, just wanted to direct the others what to do. The damaged or broke several things and never said anything until I pointed it out. I have done numerous moves in the past and this guys are at the bottom of the list. Would not use them again or recommend them. I feel compelled to respond to Derek's post on my review. I wanted to wait until I had moved my goods out of storage into my house to be sure I did not over react to Derek's job. I can honestly say that I UNDER REACTED to Derek's move. The other company I used made Pay for Load look like kids. I am a very experienced mover. I have moved over 40 times in the past 50 years. I have done moves myself, I have used local movers like Pay for Load, I have used national movers. I addition I have moved overseas twice. So I think I am in a very good position to judge the quality of a move and the mover. First the lamp that was broken i doubt Derek ever looked at. He estimated it to cost $25. In reality it is a special lamp my wife uses for knitting and cost $150 originally. I bought a new one yesterday for $180. Is Derek still going to offer to reimburse the cost? In addition they broke a support leg on my entertainment unit. While Derek offered to fix it on the spot, by that time i had had enough and was unwilling to have him do anything else. I fixed it myself yesterday and it too 45 minutes. All of the screws had been ripped out and I had to use filler and some other tricks to make it right. In addition they managed to knick the inside of the entertainment unit and to damage on of the leafs for my dining room table. I have also discovered that they lost 4 of the bolts for the dining room table, so now I am on a search to find them, I am sure the cost will not be much, but it will take time to locate the right ones. I have no doubt I will continue to uncover additional things as I move forward, with the unpacking. I wii not be surprised to find additional things that were not handled properly One of the other irritations was that we and agreed to 3 men and a truck From my experience that was about the right size crew if everyone's knowledgable and works hard. I estimated ti should take 2/12 hours to load the truck and about 3 1/2 house to unload since it had to be packed into the storage unit total time should have been about six hours. Derek and crew took 8 Plus. I attribute this to two factors. One of the people suppose to be working was Derek who as acting move like a director than a worker, occasionally he would pick up a piece, but that was rare. he focussed on 2 thing, maintaining his Angie;s List rating,and not loosing his tools, he watched them like a hawk. So I paid for 3 mean and a truck and got 2 men and a truck plus Derek. I spent more time managing the movers on this move than on any prior moves. Derek told me later that he was there to be sure Ben and the other guy could do it along and that they were now out on a truck alone. You do not charge you customers extra for training you people and you should be honest up front that that his what is happening, The only person of the 3 that had any ability or aptitude in moving was Ben. Ben did the work of almost 2 people because of Dereks. lack of involvement and the other guy not feeling well. I did give a tip, but that was for Ben which was the only reason the job ever came to an end. He deserved something more for just having to put up with Derek. From my side I feel that Derek owes me about $500, for the broken lamp, damaged furniture, lost bolts and agreeing to a price for 3 men and only having 2 1/4 men working. Again I have a ton of experience so put a lot more weight on my comment than on other reviews. Also be aware that there a lot of local movers out there, your best source is a good local storage unit. This is the first time i have used Angie's list and I will be very reluctant to use to use it again. BE FOREWARNED USE PAY FO LOAD MOVERS AT YOUR OWN RISK. If you set your standards low enough you may not be too disappointed I hope you had better luck that I did. I could provide more detail but it would not change the conclusion, only reenforce what I have already detailed here. Pay for Load Movers should be renamed Pay for Grief Movers, because Grief is what you are likely to get. The second group I used were every think that Pay for Load was not..3 guys all knew what they were doing and who had all worked together before came in and completed the job in little over half the time that Derek took and nothing was broken or damaged.
