Tim Zeigler and his crew corrected a previous contractors bad work. Tim worked with us diligently to correct all these problems and had excellent suggestions. His pricing was fair and he was a pleasure to do business with. I consider him to be honorable and a very knowledgeable contractor. His crew and everyone who came to the job were courteous, professional and respectful of our property. The foreman, G****, was responsive and helpful and assured us about every question. The workman were true craftsman. Everything turned out exactly as we envisioned. I would highly recommend this contractor.

Tim Ziegler and his team at Coastal Living Re-modelers did a wonderful job on my bathroom remodel. Every aspect of the project was treated with great attention to detail and professionalism. All of the work that was done was of high caliber and was done neatly. What I really appreciated was that Tim responded to every email and phone call within 24 hours. I plan to use Coastal Living Re-modelers when I remodel my other bathroom and my kitchen. I give Tim Ziegler and his company my highest recommendation.

We wanted to replace an old deck so we met with Tim and shared our ideas of what we were looking for. Within a couple of weeks, we had the design and signed the contract. The work progressed smoothly and Tim kept in touch each step of the way. We had a great carpenter and crew who took the time to explain anything we wanted to know. If we had questions or wanted a change made, it was never an issue. There wasn't anything Coastal Living wouldn't do to make it the perfect deck, and it is the perfect deck. We will use Coastal Living in the future for more remodeling projects. Our experience was excellent. We hope you'll give them a try!

Unfortunately we have gotten a little carried away with all the things we wanted to do and it has become a bigger project than we had first planned, and the cost is going to be too great. So we are taking a breath to reconsider what we will and won't do.
Description of Work: Tim was extremely professional. Arrived promptly, helped us with advice about different parts of our project, and returned with different members of his team to scope out the separate elements. He recommended good places to go to look at the equipment and fixtures we would be needing. He provided a very detailed scope of work and spent time to go through all the elements with us.

We decided to wait until after the holidays to make a final decision. This is such a big project and investment and we want to make sure we are ready for this. I would highly recommend Tim based on my current interactions with him and I believe he would provide a beautiful kitchen for us.
Description of Work: Tim provided a quote for our kitchen/family room remodel. He was responsive and easy to work with. We met several times to discuss the details and each time he was professional, agreeable, and answered all of our questions. I viewed a project that he was currently working on and believe he provides quality work. The quote was higher than I expected but I realize I have a large project and perhaps I was not aware of what everything actually costs.
The project went extremely smoothly and was on time. I am very happy with the results. Everything looks great!
Description of Work: I hired Coastal Living Remodelers to do a variety home improvements to my home in Venice. This included: 1) removal of existing tile and carpet and replacing it with new tile flooring, 2) Demo of old hot tub on lanai and replace with new concrete flooring, 3) Removal of wallpaper/prep walls and paint whole interior, 4) Shower tile replacement, 5) Replacement of kitchen dome ceiling florescent lighting with recessed lights.....and much more.

I had a nightmare of an experience from a previous contractor who tried to keep getting more and more "add-ons" and finally he walked off the job when I did not pay. I was without ANY bathroom for several months and Coastal Re-modelers came in, fixed a lot of errors the other contractor made, moved forward and finished my bathrooms in a timely and professional manner. Tim and the guys at Coastal living re-modelers were fantastic to work with and helped to get just the look I wanted. I would recommend them to anyone who is doing a bathroom remodel. My remodel is in my dream home and it included two dream bathrooms , I had very high end steam units with aromatherapy, chrome therapy, additional tankless (as well as a tank) water heater lots of shower heads and the high end tub I chose had two 240 motors etc. A lot of things that needed to be coordinated and detailed attention paid. And they did. They are very capable and just a great bunch to work with.

This was a very delicate situation, due to no fault of the Member. The situation the previous contractor put her in was horrible. Our hats are off to (Member name removed) for weathering through. Our ultimate goal was to help her out and give her her home back, as soon as possible, which we successfully accomplished. In the end, she ended up with a master suite with a spa-like bath that any woman would die for!

Great member! We worked very well together... This was a VERY complex project with as many as 6 different trades involved. A special roof deck system was specified by our company that required serious attention to detail, in which we maintained over the course of the project. Not very many companies would have tackled this particular project, due to its difficulty. Our goal was to solve the members problems & challenges with a relatively inexpensive option, while providing a superior warranty- and in the end, we were able to accomplish this. Albeit, not at a super low cost, but a value added investment in the home, that will endure the harsh Florida Coastal climate for many, many years to come.

I got him on Angie?s List. He is very nice and gets back to me right away. I am going to meet with him again in July when I go back to Florida. He has been very responsive to e-mails and so forth. So far I like what I see. I had interviewed two other people and I liked him the best. I changed what I wanted so he is going to get back to me with a new quote. I met him at my condo and he seemed quite nice. He listened to what I wanted and took notes. He got back to me promptly and he seemed to me like somebody that I could work with. So far I think he has been very good and his price is reasonable for the job that needs to be done. Judging by what the other people quoted me, he was neither the highest nor the lowest. I have not signed anything yet but he is the one I think I am going to use. I will not be having the work until September.
Description of Work: I got a quote from Coastal Living Remodelers for a partial bathroom remodel.
We began by searching Angie's List for the contractor. The remodel work was done in a location away from where we live, so it was important that Tim was always available via email and phone. We found him easy to work with as he keep in touch with us the entire process. All of the workers that were sent to our home were professional, neat, clean and efficient. All of the work was done as requested and the finished product is just beautiful. I would not hesitate to hire Coastal Living Remodelers again, and would definitely recommend them to my friends and neighbors. SRM
Description of Work: Kitchen remodel - new granite counter tops, with matching kitchen window sill, tile back splash, updated electrical wiring, installed halogen lighting in bathroom & kitchen. Installation of marble window sill in bedroom. Commercial cleaning of entire unit's tile floor. Installed new kitchen faucet and relocated dishwasher.
I will say at the outset that Coastal Living Re-modelers is the best experience you will find for quality, efficiency and timely completion. Tim's interest in getting each portion of the project just right for the customer is unequaled. We speak from experience as my wife and I have been in and out of 13 homes in the past 30 years in six different states and remodeled most of them. We had a tricky Laundry Center to create as the town home provided for only common area laundry facilities. Tim's ideas for location and layout were spot on, saving us both valuable space and building costs. We also had very little space to work with in both bath areas and again Tim and his crew worked magic. The finished product not only looks fabulous but is super functional. The same sentiments could be echoed for the rest of the project from painting, to tile work, to electrical, to plumbing to finish work. His craftsmen were all very good at their craft and easy to work with. They also were very polite and courteous to the complex residents while the work was being completed. While I did not see Tim everyday as the entire length of the job was eight weeks, he e-mailed and called on a regular basis and he loops back around constantly checking up for adjustments and follow up. I could go on but suffice to say my wife and I are very happy with the end result and experience. A+ all around.
Description of Work: My wife and I recently purchased an older town home very close to the beach. The property is to be used as a rental unit and part time family residence. With that in mind we wanted to make the necessary upgrades as economically as possible but also with a mind toward re-sale and family use. The town home is part of a twelve unit complex with mostly full time residents. The unit was in good condition but very dated. The overall project had a number of moving parts but could be segmented into four areas; two bath remodels, laundry center addition, lanai enclosure and general upgrades such as painting, floor refinishing, fixture swap outs etc...At the outset I obtained a few separate bids from different contractors for each specific portion. I soon realized that to get this coordinated and executed properly I needed a really good general contractor to pull this all together. I did some research and found the Coastal Living Re-modelers reviews on Angie's List most closely resembled the type of person and company I was searching for. In particular the member comments on owner Tim Ziegler's innovative thinking and attention to detail regardless of the size of the job hit home. I contacted Tim, we met at the site and walked through the projects. My comfort level with Tim's approach was immediate. Within four days, bids were submitted, a contract executed and temporary permits obtained by Tim so he could start the demolition without delay.
Overall, we are very satisfied and made the right choice. A contract was drawn up with all work specified (detailed as provided above) and timing to complete. The payment schedules were staged based on work completed with final payment due upon satisfactory inspection of work. A lien release was executed upon full payment. Coastal communicated with us every step of the way via email and telephone providing us updates and pictures. Decisions were quick and work performed as contracted. If we were not satisfied with the way something turned out due to workmanship, it was corrected immediately to our satisfaction (no haggling or additional fees). When we made changes or decisions that were not part of the original contract, we were quickly informed of options and the additional cost, knowing that the decision is ours to proceed if we want. We never felt pressured to go a ceratin way. Coastal worked with us in recommending where to make our purchases. We would provide our choices & model numbers to Coastal and they would take care of it. We have a 1 year warranty for the work performed. We called Coastal back for a very minor correction (electrical outlet not working). They were prompt and corrected the situation. Coastal wants us to be truly satisfied with the work and service experience they provided. Coastal has been great and we definitely recommend them. Currently, we are enjoying our renovated home. Its a great feeling walking into a place knowing everything was done properly and Coastal is there to back up their work.
Description of Work: The town home was purchased in a desirable neighborhood of Venice. The age of the property is approx 4 yrs old. The purpose of the property is a vacation residence. The previous owner did not upkeep the property at all and cosmetically it was a sorry sight. It was dirty, not cleaned, there were holes in the wall throughout the residence, some molding was chewed by a dog, ceramic floor tiles were dirty, kitchen wall color did not match the rest of the white walls (it was painted deep blue), bedroom door was missing, closet doors were unhung, window had a screen missing, A/C unit hadn't been serviced, appliances were grimy, smoke detectors not working/broken, bathrooms were dirty, loft handrail was missing, etc. It was unfortunate to see the property in this condition. No structural damage. Looking beyond the filth, grime and cosmetic damage, this property had the potential of providing us what we wanted as a vacation residence. We received two bids for the renovation and upgrade work we wanted and decided to award the contract to Coastal Living Remodelers. Coastal's bid was slightly higher but we felt their experience, professionalism and experience in working with out of state owners (like us) was warranted. We were not let down. The services performed were as follows: Staging, protection, and jobsite conditions: o Prior to start of project all new products will be identified and ordered- minor selections can be determined as project proceeds as long as ample time is available o Upon start of project contractor shall issue a job lockbox for customer key to remain at property at all times o Floor protection will be provided upon tile installation o Contractor shall protect adjacent surfaces and protect as needed o Upon completion jobsite will be left in broom swept condition and all manufacturers’ paperwork will be delivered to the owner • Price included all material and labor (which includes the kitchen, breakfast bar w/overhang) excluding material allowances listed below: o Carpeting o Ceiling fans (4) o Kitchen sink, faucet and garbage disposal unit o 2nd floor bath – REAR: tiles and tub, vanity with associated plumbing, vanity wall repair and tile labor KITCHEN Pull stove & fridge and save for customer Remove sink and faucet Remove old counter tops and dispose Install new granite countertops with sink cut out and standard edge Install new granite breakfast bar with overhang Set new stainless sink and install new disposal unit with push button switch Install new kitchen faucet with sprayer Install strainer basket Re-install fridge and stove - clean appliances inside & out Install crown molding to cabinets Install wire closet shelf in pantry and repair loose brackets on other shelves Repair crack in grout in kitchen floor Test for leaks Provide final Clean Up LIVING ROOM Install ceiling fan rated box and ceiling fan provided by owner Remove old window hardware Repair top lock mechanism on sliding door Indoor Patio Area Clean and paint (existing color) FIRST FLOOR BATH Pull toilet Repair damaged floor tile (match as close as practical) Install new wax seal replace existing toilet Replace damaged section of door casing LOFT AREA Install new 8’ wood handrail with newel post, center post and half post at wall Install top and bottom rail Install pickets to code Prime and leave ready for paint Repair piece of outside corner molding on top of wall Repair holes in drywall (3) Install fan rated box Install customer supplied ceiling fan SECOND FLOOR BATH (REAR) Remove accessories and patch holes Repair damaged drywall Remove vanity top, faucet, sink, tub and wall surround Set new tub with pop up drain Install new tile backer board Install new wall tile selected by owner Grout tile and clean surfaces Install new vanity Reuse faucets and pop-up drains Provide final clean up SECOND FLOOR REAR BEDROOM Repair two bi-fold doors Patch holes in drywall (3) & large hole in closet by floor Fabricate and install new window screen for rear window Install fan rated box Install customer supplied ceiling fan SECOND FLOOR HALL BATH (FRONT) Repair closet door Repair damaged drywall in closet Reuse faucets and pop-up drains SECOND FLOOR BEDROOM-FRONT Install a new fan rated box Install new customer supplied ceiling fan Remove wall shelf in main room and patch drywall Install new 30” right hand door slab to match existing and hardware INTERIOR PAINTING- Protect adjacent surfaces Prep walls and ceilings for professional paint job Fill nail holes in drywall Spot prime drywall repairs Apply one coat of premium quality paint to ceilings Apply one coat of premium quality paint to walls Apply one coat of premium quality paint to trim Provide final clean up Misc. Owner Tim Ziegler had many great ideas with design and was very knowledgeable with the mechanical functions. I really liked him because he was interested in what you wanted and needed. He actually LISTENED! He even called me a week after the job was completed to be sure everything was working to my satisfaction,Tim was very patient yet stayed on top by following up from the beginning to the end so the job ran very smoothly. His crew was very experienced and darn good! There was plenty of communication along the way. They were respectful, came when they said they would and always answered questions with a smile. Yes, a few challenges to be expected in a a 40 year old condo building. They took care of them with ease and moved forward. In the past before I retired, I have been a general contractor for 2 newly constructed homes, remodeled investment properties, owned a HVAC Co and even sold some Real Estate so I certainly seen and worked with some of the worst and the best. Everyday I can say...I truly love my kitchen. It's beautiful and functional. I tell everyone how pleased and lucky I am that I used Coastal Living Re-modelers. Thank you to Tim Ziegler and to your excellent team!
Description of Work: My new beautiful kitchen not only consisted of a complete removal of the entire kitchen, but a relocation of appliances, plumbing & electrical rerouted, so the condo ceiling could be raised, including moving the heating and dryer vent ducts. A laundry closet was removed and 2 walls opened up. Recessed lighting, glass cabinet doors, granite counter tops, under mount stainless sink, ceramic floors and backsplash, over the range microwave and a custom cabinet for the stackable washer and dryer to look like it is part of the kitchen, were all great additions. I also had additional work in both baths, The fluorescence lighting and plastic ceiling was replaced with new framing, recessed lighting, new fans, and a closet was converted to a custom cabinet. Drywall was blended to match the existing walls in the kitchen and baths.
They are superior and excellent to work with. They do high quality work. They have turned an old house into a new house.
Description of Work: They are remodeling the interior of the house. They put in a garage. They also have put in some pavers. French windows and hurricane shutters as well. Plus lots of other things.

The project went very well. Coastal's representative, Tim Ziegler, and John Haskell were professional and responsive. They answered questions promptly and satisfactorily. The quality of the work is excellent. John pays attention to detail and is a very careful painter. He always was on the job when he told us he would be. The work began and was completed on schedule. Not sure why we received the B, but it was a really small job for us, one that we normally would have not taken....but we wanted to assist this senior client as she needed to sell the home and needed this ceiling repaired in order to sell it. I was able to work the job in within days of meeting with her- and took care of it in two half days and charged a very modest fee. But at Coastal, we are all about building customer relationships for the long haul-
