Description of Work: I contacted them for a chimney inspection from an ongoing leak. My roofing company said it was a chimney issue so I contacted a chimney specialist. On first assessment Abrams chimney told me there was a knot in one of my roofing decking boards causing the leak and therefore it was not a chimney issue it was a roofing issue. I owed the $100-$150 inspection fee since "there was no work to be performed". They stated the chimney cap and all looked good. My roofing company then came out during a rainstorm and videoed that the chimney was leaking around the flashing and the knot in the plank decking of the roof was not to blame. I then had Abrams back out to inspect again and they then said it was the flashing but since that work Involved re-roofing a section I would be best to try and have my roofing company cover it.... as it would be something Aabrams would have to subcontract out. My roofing company finally covered the leaking flashing and did a water test that showed the entire chimney cap was leaking as well as the flashing. I just feel like this chimney company came out merely for an inspection fee and nothing more. Their first assessment was completely wrong. They never did a water test of their own and then when they determined part of the problem (only after my roofing company confirmed the issue) I was told they don't do that repair since it involves re-roofing. Frustrating situation.

Description of Work: My damper which they were going to have to move to clean chimney was off the tracks. They wanted to charge me 75 dollars to put it back on tracks. I traded that for the dryer vent cleaning. I was not happy. The person who came back to do the actual cleaning was fine.

Description of Work: Nice people to deal with. The cleaning equipment was kind of beat up and old looking. The estimate for repair of the outside of the chimney was high. I got it done by a professional remodeler for a couple of hundred dollars less. |Over all cleaning was worth the price but..
