It is so hard to find a reliable company these days but I have finally found one and wanted to share. Smart Move Moving & Storage were top notch! From my initial phone call until they waved goodbye on moving day, the entire process was seamless. I was guided through the process and provided an estimate. The staff in the office were readily available to help answer my questions and concerns. They were polite, friendly and efficient. They even delivered boxes and packing materials right to my front door! Time is a luxury we just didn't have during that time, so this was a tremendous help. On moving the day, the crew arrived right on time. The crew introduced themselves and got straight to work. They wrapped all my furniture and showed care as they packed it all into the back of the truck with ease. They worked incredibly hard and fast. My wife and I were just so pleased with everything. I would highly recommend Smart Move to absolutely anyone!

I was thrilled with the servies provided. They moved & stored all of our Christmas items this year. My kids are into everything & I didn't want to take the chance of them peeking or getting into their gifts. It was perfect & I didn't have to do a thing. Very trustworthly, polite & they were great with my kids. Which is a huge with us. I will be using their services every year for Christmas & anything inbetween. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I have used Smart Move 3 times over the last 4 years. They were very helpful with my transitions from college to my apartment and then eventually to where I live now. I did have to store a few things for almost a year at their facility. They took some items from my original move to their storage facilities and delivered them along with moving the rest of my furniture earlier this year. They were always professional and most helpful. I would not hesitate to use them again.

They did everything that we asked them to do. There were no delays with the service and it did seem that they were being efficient with the time. Everything went fine and we are very happy with them.

We have been using their services for about nine years and they are a solid organization. I like the location of the building and the security they provide. They are very easy to do business with. Everything has worked out fine.

We have used their services about three times. They are very professional. Nothing has ever been damaged or gone missing. What they promise to do, they will do it. The experience has always turned out very well.

They were recommended to me by a friend and everything turned out great. They completed the job in about six hours. They were by far the best option for price and they were available on short notice. They did a great job.

I chose them because they were the only company in the area that offered moving and storage services. They did not tell me that would be a delay after I called them with the closing date. They were unable to bring my furniture to my home until the following Wednesday and they claimed that was with doing a lot of rearranging. When they set up the bed-frame, they were missing a piece. It took them almost a month to resolve that issue. Also, because I had already paid for the storage unit in July, it took quite a while to get reimbursed for that bill. There were also some broken pieces and dishes. It looked as though they had just taken the boxes and swung them into the storage unit. When I inquired about the damages, they said that since they did not pack them, they were not responsible. Fortunately, the things that were broken were only small damages and could easily be repaired. As far as the crew who moved me, they were very nice and respectful. However, I would not recommend them.

It was a complete disaster!!! Smart Move sent 2 incompetent workment who were inexperienced and totally underqualified to handle move although company advertises to be professional specialists in moving furniture and antiques. The estimated time for this move was 4 hours. Even after 12 hours they were unable to complete this simple move. and required the operations manager and other man to come the following day to finish the job. Half of our clothes were in the back seat of our car because the movers said they didn't have room on the truck. The other half of our clothes were thrown into the closet. The operations manager admitted that the men were in over their head and not capable and were fired. During the agonizing 12hours these men were in and out of our condo they managed to create complete havoc and destruction to at least 7 pieces of our furniture, not repairable according to the operations manager . in addition these men caused damage to the walls, floors and door moldings in our new unit as well as a dented front door to the unit we vacated. Yesterday, after countless stalling and misleading statements, the operations manager offered us $200 as a final resolution for our furniture. Repairs to the unit were never scheduled and I have recently been asked to get an estimate from someone in our area which I am trying to accomplish. We feel this $200 payout is insulting and irresponsible. We feel Smart Move was negligent in hiring these inexperienced and unqualified men and that they have taken advantage of our advanced age to push the entire disaster under the table with their offer.

My wife and I recently hired Smart Move to move our belongings from St. Petersburg to Belleair Beach. Brennan came to our home and spent time to answer our questions and address our concerns about the move. He gave us a thorough written estimate for the move including a storage unit that we required at their facility. We stopped by Smart Move to see the facility and purchase some packing supplies. Stella gave us a walking tour of the facility and we were so impressed with the cleanliness and security in the building. We felt very safe knowing that our household items would be secure. On moving day, the crew arrived at our home right on time. They were clean cut and extremely polite. They carefully shrink wrapped and padded all of our furniture and took it out piece by piece to the moving truck. They worked extremely hard and were so careful. It was such a pleasant and refreshing experience. We had heard nightmares about moving day but thanks to the entire cast and crew at Smart Move...it was smooth and without incident! We will definetely recommend you to all of our family and friends and will call you in the future!

The movers were very polite, though they showed up late and with only two movers instead of three as I had scheduled. The third guy did finally arrive a couple hours into loading. That's annoying, but hardly a terrible problem, so I wasn't too upset about it as long as they only charged me for the time the third guy was there. The real problem was in the damage which I've been finding bit by bit through the weeks after the move. The first thing I noticed after the movers left was a love seat was torn right on the back cushion, and it had several brown stains on it. The chair was used on a daily basis before the move, so I would have noticed the tear and stains had they been there before the move. There's no doubt it was caused by the move. I expected it to be no big deal since that's why movers carry moving insurance. So I submitted my damage claim and waited for a response expecting they would pay for it to be repaired. Instead, a month later I got a letter back claiming the damage was pre-existing and a form to "prove" that. The form listed the exact damage I reported on the love seat, and was signed, but I had never seen that form before and certainly hadn't signed it. They must have written up a falsified pre-existing damage form and then copied over the signature from the work completion form. So as much as they seemed great on the phone when booking and the movers seemed nice and professional, my experience is that behind all that they use sleazy business practices.

The furniture pick up in April was right on time, movers were friendly and helpful. I visited the items once while in storage to make sure they were in airconditioning and they were. The stuff was jammed into three units and not very well packed. We had given away 40% of our furniture so it was mostly boxes. We called several weeks out to schedule the redelivery and they said no problem. Waited around that day and they were a no show. Finally got ahold of the driver and they were delayed somewhere else with rain. The next day, same scenario, very poor communication. We got a delivery on Saturday for no extra charge. Here is where the biggest issue occurred. Somewhere in the 4 months they had our furniture they damaged 6 nice pieces of furniture: Thomasville Bedroom set had a huge gouge in the headboard and they had tried to repair a scratch on the bottom of the large dresser and made is worse. Our antique ice box was badly damaged on the bottom & our antique dining room table leg was cracked and scratched. In addition, one large expensive leather chair was ripped down the side and had a large indentation in the back like something had been jammed against it for a long time. My stressless leather chair had the same issue. We did go through a long process of having people come out and try to fix them, but none of the pieces will ever be the same. They did pay for the repairs. Nothing in the boxes were broken, but they did not take very good care of the nice furniture we moved!

To start off; While loading boxes from the pick up residence into the truck one of the movers dropped a box of expensive wine glasses,breaking one. I thought that was going to be the only disaster until all my furniture and boxes had been unloaded and brought into my new home. A glass top dining table was chipped, other tables were badly scratched,and my entertainment center was gouged. This was by far the worst moving company I have ever used. I wrote a letter to the company detailing all damages and included pictures. Smart Move's written reply was, "all damages were preexisting", to which they mailed me a falsified preexisting damage-check list, that I had never seen, with a signature that was not mine. To top it off, the "preexisting" form they sent me had my name, my cell phone number, with someone else's address, and a list of furniture pieces that were not even mine!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY!!!!!

I did my research before hiring a mover, Smart Move was referred by my realtor along with two family friends, all had used there services and spoke very highly of them. I can't put into words how impressed I have been with these guys. Starting from my first phone call, Brennan who came out to my house and gave a honest written estimate, the amazing pack crew and the wonderful, hard working, careful movers. There storage is full A/C, spotlessly clean and secure. They have me as a customer for life, and I will telling all friends and family that there is no better company serving the bay area. Thanks again guys.

We use them quite a lot and our clients use them quite a lot. They are dependable and they are competitive in their pricing. They do good work and they do well with smaller jobs. They don’t turn down business if it isn’t big enough. We will use them again in the future and I have booked them for this coming Tuesday next week. They are putting something in storage and we are having carpet replacement done in one of our properties.

They were very efficient, took good care of our furniture and over all I have absolutely no complaints. They missed the estimate due to circumstances which was beyond their control.

FIRST, THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME, NEXT THEY TOOK EXTREME CARE OF MY HOUSEHOLD GOODS. WE DID NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL. THEY EVEN STAYED WITHIN THE TIME FRAME, WHICH KEPT OUR COST DOWN!
