Perfect, this is the third time I have used Smart Move, they are by far the best.

Before selecting Smart Move, we interviewed 4 other moving companies, including two national companies. Our decision to hire Smart Move was the right one. From the initial estimate that Hannah provided to the packers/movers (Scott who packed only Josh & Kelvin who both packed and moved us), the job was done with great professionalism. Hannah was always available by cell phone, willing to provide all information requested, including the Certificate of Liability and the cost of boxes, which was folded into the final price for the move. Josh and Kelvin, who drove to Jacksonville and moved us in, never lost their sense of humor and willingness to go the extra mile, when necessary. Another positive point is that we had only very minor damage to two or three items, somewhat of a miracle given all of the glass and porcelain items that we had. Not a single piece of furniture was damaged. Given all that could go wrong, nothing did happen that could be considered "wrong." We were very pleased and recommend Smart Move highly.

Initially, Smart Move's operations manager, Hannah, visited us and quoted a price of $3,892 plus materials for what we clearly stated was a job requiring packing up one residence, moving most of the goods to another residence, unpacking our goods in the new residence, putting a few things in storage and taking the residual to the dump. Hannah seemed professional and attentive so, in a very competitive market, we trusted her and chose Smart Move over three other services. For the price quoted, we were promised two 32' trucks and four movers The four movers showed up punctually on the first day, in a van only to pack our things, which went reasonably well. On Tuesday, four movers showed up with only one 32' truck to transport our goods. When we questioned this, we were told that we could move just as quickly with one truck and that we did not need the second truck. This displeased us, but we decided not to make an issue out of it. Then, halfway through that day, we were told that one of the movers was being taken off of our job. I called Hannah to complain that this would certainly slow down the move and she responded that she needed our fourth mover in Hillsborough County because "there is a storm coming"! We told Hannah that Florida has been in drought for four months and that no storm was forecast other than a rain shower. After much back-and-forth, she reluctantly let us "keep" the contracted fourth mover. Once our goods were moved to our new home, we were told we would now be presented with the bill. I responded that they had yet to unpack our goods in the new residence and was told that was not in their contract (a messy conglomeration of hand-written notes on carbon yellow sheets!). I called Hannah yet again and she also claimed we had never asked for unpacking service. I will note here that my wife and I have moved 7 times in the last 23 years and have asked, and paid for, unpacking services - so we know with absolute certainty that this time was no different. But there was no apology nor acceptance of responsibility on Smart Move's behalf. Rather, Hannah reluctantly agreed to give us two unpackers, but only for an additional $105.00 per hour to unpack us ($727.50 total, unforeseen and additional expense). I cannot describe the mess that was made by the unpackers; items we needed left in our original residence, items brought that were supposed to have been left at the old residence, boxes packed poorly, goods broken and misplaced and/or scratched, all goods just thrown helter-skelter in closets or onto any flat surface, furniture assembled incorrectly etc. And through all of this, Smart Move staff, Hannah in particular, were surly, inattentive, uncooperative and highly unprofessional. I will also note that we were courteous and kind to Smart Move's crew - buying them coffee and doughnuts each morning and lunch every day. All to no avail. Hannah never called, emailed or texted us during or after our move to see if things were going smoothly, if we were satisfied with progress or if the final result was to our satisfaction. Also, we have yet to see a written inventory of which goods were put into our 10'x10' storage space ($175 a month additional) and how to gain access to it. The bottom line is that this company does not care about their customers or their service; they are only interested in getting the job done as quickly as possible using as few resources as they can in order to get payment and then forget you. We will move again in the near-to-mid term. AND we will most certainly NOT use Smart Move to help us!

The work was good. My interaction with them was good. They were nice. They were fine. I would recommend them.

This company picked up 100+ packed boxes plus they had to pack furniture and a limited number of other items from our old home. Everything was to be placed in storage at their warehouse while our new home was being built. They were then to deliver everything to our new home. The pick-up seemingly went well, they were on schedule and efficient. Storage was also seemingly OK. The problems began with the delivery. They were short handed and only able to deliver boxed material which they haphazardly dumped in our garage and then left. They did not bring things into our home even though they were well marked as to where they belonged claiming that they had to get back to their offices. They came back the following day, brought our furniture (including our grand piano) into the house, left everything else in the garage, and left. Many of the items they packed were dirty or damaged and a number were missing. A number of the boxes that we had packed were also damaged. A large sealed carton that we had packed had clearly been opened. While they claim to be expert piano movers they did not manage to reassemble our Yamaha piano properly. They also damaged the walls in multiple places in our brand new home. They did supply an excellent furniture restorer who fixed the majority of our pieces however they did nothing regarding the desk return that they destroyed or the very large terra cotta planter. I had to arrange for wall repair and painting and piano repair myself as I grew tired of waiting for them to deal with things. They claimed to have no knowledge of or responsibility for the missing items and provided no compensation for them. They sent me a check for reimbursement for the damage claiming it is payment in full when it will barely cover the cost of the planter. I have moved many times both domestically and internationally. This was the only case where I had serious issues with the move. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone planning anything more than the simple moving of a few cartons.

They were quick, efficient, and within the time period that they said they would do it.

From our first conversation Smart Move stood out. They were responsive and provided documentation and excellent communication skills to assist me in making a decision about moving and storage. They followed up on all my questions and happily accepted the Angie's List coupon. The day of the packing the young men were MOST polite and extremely invested in the careful packing and transporting of our belongings. They were respectful of my home and even asked if it would be ok to listen to some music. They were diligent, cautious of fragile items, and demonstrated professionalism at all times. Moving day was the same. On time. On task. My experiences with the office staff have been equally impressive. Your calls are answered or returned promptly and they reflect a culture of customer service and personal attention. They are gems in what can be a very untrustworthy industry and the facility is spotless! We are most thrilled for our belongings home away from home.

My wife's wedding ring went missing during the move, and I'm 99% confident that it was stolen by Smart Move (police report 2011-5162). Most importantly, management took a nonchalant attitude towards the theft and seemed more inconvenienced than anything. No compensation was offered, and they didn't at all seem apologetic. I've learned a valuable lesson from the process regarding protecting my property. Please don't let them tell you there have not been any reported thefts. Thanks

.I have used Smart Moving Company twice. First in 2006 when they left me completely surprised and amazed as how well they handle the careful move of all my delicate furniture. This professional company has such a great moving team. I will never forget the perfect way they handle the move of my baby grand piano. they had to bring it down from a third floor building through a narrow staircase. They packed the piano really well and brought it down without a single scratch. Just this single handle of the piano made me realized how responsible they were. Second move happened in 2012. This time I was on the ground floor, but again, they did all the packing and handling of all my furniture in a fast professional way. They made the move so easy, responsisble and efficient. I was so glad with their moving expertise and responsibility. This company goes the extra mile to take good care of the customer. I am writing this note for those who are looking for a realiable, professional moving company. I recommend Smart Moving Co. as your choice. Their prices are the best too!

It went great!! we relocated from out of state & back to FL. They unloaded a household full of furniture. Very careful that nothing was damaged in the process. We used the same type of service to load the truck from another state & they only loaded about half the truck & it took about 4 hours, we ended up loading the rest ourselves. This company unloaded the entire truck (24 ft truck) & placed all items inside our house at right about 2 hours. No damage. They were great & would recommend them to anyone that needs this type of service. Would use again. They were on time, friendly....no issues whatsoever. We paid for 3 hours (based on our previous experience) but it only took them 2 hours to get the job done. Definately knew how to get the job done.

They were good. Everything was good. I was happy with them. the estimate was pretty close to what I actually paid. I used them twice actually. They moved the cabinet from my apartment, moved it to the storage and moved it back t a different location.

They were excellent. It was a short move but there was a lot of stuff to move. I don't remember the cost but whatever it was, it was the price that they quoted and I was very pleased with everything.

I’ve been very happy with them. I’ve worked with them for a long time and they’ve always been very accommodating to all the changes that I have made. They now have automatic bill payment where they draw it out of your account. The front desk now handles the phone calls and that’s the best improvement. They’re just running more efficiently. The only complaint I have is that there’s no elevator on the second floor storage unit. You have to haul things upstairs. It is an air conditioned storage. The rates depend on the size of the unit and whether you get a unit on the first or the second floor. The second floors are less expensive. I’ve been renting from them for years. They have always been consistent. There’s enough lighting and the air conditioners work all the time. I will not using their moving services again because I think they’re a little high because I have compared them to one company. I’m not sure that their prices are competitive. They have a minimum of 3 hours for their moving services. They are good movers but I haven’t used them for a while. They do not sub out their movers on an individual basis, you have to go through their company. I think they’re professional. Locally, I think they’re the best movers I’ve ever used and I certainly trust them.

Brennan was punctual when he came to give us our quote. He was unsure about the time it would take to move at first and said he would check out the condo where we were moving before giving us the quote so that it could be more accurate. He came back with a quote that we thought was fair. Randolph and Matthew were the two gentlemen who came to move our furniture on 3/4/14. They arrived about nine minutes early which was perfect for me and got right to work. They were politet, professional, accommodating and very hard workers. Moving the furniture into the two story condo was not an easy task. We had a very large sofa that the guys tried to get in to the condo but it would not fit so they brought it back down to the truck for storage. I was impressed at how well the men wrapped all the furniture before moving it. Nothing could be damage as well as they did this. If you have antique or expensive furniture these guys would be the ones to hire to be sure it is well taken care of. 3/5/14 the same two gentlemen returned to our house to get the rest of the items for storage. Again they arrived on time and did very fast work. When my husband got home, he said he was charged for the first month's rent for the storage and I told him Brennan said the first month's rent was free due to being a member of Angie's List (in place of the 10% discount coupon). I called Smart Move and explained the problem. I did not get the gentleman's name who answered the phone and Brennan was out but he said it was not problem. He would apply that to the second month's rent or refund me the money. I told him to just apply it to the second month's. Again excellent service! We plan to move again in two to three years and plan to use this moving company again so we could not be more pleased with everyone at Smart Move! (They came highly recommended by our terrific realtor, Rob Johnson!)

Excellent customer service that included a detailed review of our requirements, and accurate estimate of the task and confirmation of our pack up date along with agreement on price. The price quoted was reasonable as we are a military family that have accomplished similar moves of this type. On the 1st day of our pack up the 2 company personnel were very professional, efficient, organized and very careful of our goods. They accomplished the initial packing and sorted the inventory for placement in the home for the 2nd day pack up into the moving van. They plastic wrapped all furniture to ensure no dust, staining or other damage would occur while in transit and storage. The company personnel displayed a positive attitude and were diligent in performing their duties. On the 2nd day, beside the 2 men who performed the majority of day 1 task, a 3 person was available to assist in the van loading task. It was evident they worked as a team and knew their jobs. . While our goods have been in storage we have had 2-3 phone calls from their admin staff that are handling our account while we are in transit - it is a good feeling to known that they are looking after our stored items. This pickup and storage went smoothly and we are very satisfied with this company. We highly recommend this company for similar types of service required.

From the initial call to get a quote, the company was very professional. The movers showed up exactly at time requested. I was skeptical tho when only two guys appeared to move an entire household; however, the two men got down to business right away and had a system of one wrapping and boxing while the other moved the boxes. They took great care to wrap glass funiture, white sofa, etc. They were in and out in about 4 hours! Having the same company move and store my belongings was a relief as well as a time saver They have the option that everything stays wrapped in their blankets and padding for the whole time it is stored. I can't wait till the closing and I can have my stuff delivered again. I trust that all will be returned just as it left. The two workers really did an exceptional job with lamps, odd shaped pieces, and even wrought iron chairs, etc.

Make sure you secure a storage unit (if you can) on the ground floor.

What was sure to be an ordeal and a nightmare of enormous proportions, turned out to be easy and effortless with Smart Moves. After leasing new office space, we had to move numerous file cabinets and four offices of furniture that had been comfortably happy for over 20 years in the old location. I had heard of Smart Moves through word of mouth and called them for an estimate. I was impressed. Not only with the promptness of their response; but the reasonable pricing (very important in keeping moving costs down). The estimator, Brennan Hervey (the managing partner) was very very thorough in his inspection of what needed to be moved, not only in the office proper, but in our warehouse too. On the appointed move day, the two gentleman movers and truck arrived on time. In far less time than I thought it would take( only 5 hours), the move was accomplished and in perfect order. On a side note....there was a humongous mahogany desk that for sentimental reasons made the move with us... I was worried that it would be too big to move and it would be damaged in the move...not a problem. I was amazed how it came to it's new home without a scratch or hiccup. Thank you Smart Moves!! You are the best!

I recently bought some new furniture from a local retailer. My dilemma was that I purchased the items on sale 2 weeks before I was ready to bring them to the new locations. Thankfully this company was able to pick up the furniture and store it at their facility until I was able to receive them. They made 3 separate stops for me. They picked up items at my house, the store, and another location. They were very professional and prompt. It was not a big move, but they were very helpful with the logistics. I would certainly use them again.
